Let's get this out of the way why don't we: The top worst hyper coaster is Manhattan Express. And as for my favorite hyper, that'd be Goliath at Magic Mountain which barely edges out Magnum for its intensity (though there is no airtime on it)

Ankapark is such a joke... but, according to RCDB they're getting a knockoff skyloop that remains unnamed like most of the coasters. That probably beats out an Intamin 10 inversion. Edit: It has a name: "Sihirli Dönüş Hiz Treni" La Ronde

This reminds me, once when my entire family had flash passes at Magic Mountain, 3 out of the four left leaving little old me, my fourteen year old self at the time, to return them and get back my mother's driver's license. It went just fine, no questions asked. Just be sure the kid you're giving it to isn't stage fright and will ask or talk to an employee.

I am the young age of fifteen and can confirm we are completely capable of roaming around parks. I'd let a kid as young as twelve roam around, especially a somewhat smaller park like St. Louis.

Because compared to the other two Dive Coasters in the US, Valravn kinda sucks. My main complaint about Valravn are the restraints. The restraints kill any chance for you to get the really awesome airtime that dive coasters are known for. The only redeeming factor for Valravn is the views from the top of the ride. Other than that it is a pretty forgettable, and meh coaster. Completely agree with you here. Valravn is still the only dive coaster I've ridden and I didn't think too highly of it... it was rather forceless, less forceful than Gatekeeper (I grayed out once in back row), the airtime and hangtime was there, but very restricted by the vest restraint. The vests are actually more uncomfortable than they should be - I found it to dig into my collarbone. The best part of the ride was undoubtedly the Zero-G Roll. Nice restricted hangtime that lasts for a good while. It's very visually appealing too.

Speaking of busy manufacturers... GCI is opening five coasters next year, the most ever in the company's history. I feel like GCI is definitely growing somewhat similar to Gravity Group. You know, how they opened all those woodies in China (Fireball, Dauling Dragons). I can definitely see more Python in Bamboo Forests and Wood Coasters (Knight Valley). Two GCIs are opening in China in 2017. I look forward to more awesome GCIs opening up in the future!

Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz. Not rough at all, sadly I got no airtime in the second row to the back. Second oldest coaster I've ridden is Blue Streak - I love that thing. Great consistent airtime in the back rows. Always my first and last ride when visiting the point.

Even though I am nowhere near afraid of heights X2 still really freaked me out. It was a jerkier ride which made for a more out-of control feeling which was even crazier when inverted. Hangtime at 150 feet in the air really scared me! Its too bad the jerky seat rotations took away how awesome that ride could have been. I've only ridden 46 coasters and its not even in my top 20.

Blue Streak. It's always my first and last ride at Cedar Point; it never gives a bad ride.

Fixed Thing is, I just want to reride the thing. I get why people like the coaster, but on my only ride (an outside seat) it was rather jerky. I found my head bashing onto the headrest during the entire ride. The OTSRs weren't the greatest either, the hangtime wasn't as comfortable as it should be.

Even having ridden X2, I still think Magnum is better.

I don't really buy that Dragons is nearing the end of its lifespan. B&Ms from this era are doing just fine without a huge refurbishment. As far as I know, none of the batman clones (beginning in 1992) have ever received a major refurbishment like Hulk.

Haha we'll never get two coasters in a row. Nice try. We're the smallest Cedar Fair park, after all. They don't care about us, they only care for it's slightly larger neighbor on Lake Erie

Pretty accurate representation of the ever-changing weather here in Michigan. Keep in mind that Twisted Twins was only 80 feet tall and it got the RMC treatment. I feel that all Dinn woodies that remain should get the RMC treatment. (Although some are out of the question, like Thunder Run @ Kentucky Kingdom) Wolverine Wildcat'a layout is pretty good and rather long for a hybrid. It would probably have some really good pacing. I'd love to see it someday, though the odds are very low. Could you imagine an RMC right next to Shivering Timbers?

This makes me tear up. Pretty sure that was the last ever trick track on any coaster in the world left.
