Most Overrated coaster?
Mr. Corn replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Th13teen. No contest. -
I agree. I don't think that we will see JL:BFM next year. I could see a huge flats expansion next year on the site of the old BAT accompanied by a refurbishment of Cyclone Bay. I could also see them reroute the "land" lines to make that area become part of Cyclone Bay. They will probably retheme Apocalypse, and use Gale Force 7 for its new name, as we all remember that that name was trademarked a while ago. I, realistically, think that we'd see something like a Zamperla Air Race, A Zamperla Disco, A Larson Stupidloop (marketed as a flat ride so they don't get any backlash), a modern enterprise, a Trokia, and a couple other smaller flats. What do you think?

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

Someone that I follow on Instagram went to Cedar Point and posted a photo of MF with the caption," Millennium Force - 105mph." The GP never fails to surprise me -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
Mr. Corn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hi Everyone, I am not too familiar with the geography of Cedar Point, so could someone help me out. I know that Cedar Point got rid of Challenge Park and scrapped/relocated the rides. Does anyone know if there is enough space to fit the Pacific Spin from Knott's Soak City without having to do any major structural changes to keep the two parks separate. -
1) I think that it is the cardholder and their family, but I would have to check 2) No. Sorry 3) Yes X2s line does get shorter in the afternoon. When you get to the park, run(or just briskly walk) to The New Revolution. Ride it with VR in the morning, then in the afternoon you can ride with single rider. They don't allow you to do VR with single rider. But, yes. I would do Revolution, Tatsu, Superman, other rides, and then from 2-4pm, do X2. 4) I have personally never ridden Goliath due to fear of blacking out (yes it's that intense), but everyone else says that it has virtually no airtime, and extremely high g-forces, to the point where people would grey/black out And it's super fun in the front row. It's pretty popular, so after Superman, go ride Twosted Colossus and then Golitah. Hope this helps

From what I've heard earlier on this thread, MiA doesn't have a good relationship with Chance after they got a faulty train or something. So I wouldn't count on a Chance roller coaster. I think a small euro-fighter is also much more likely costwise. A G-TX or Superman clone would cost about $7-8 million dollars, and a small euro-fighter (like the one at Nickelodeon Universe) would cost $3 million.

Your 5 year plan and predictions for any park
Mr. Corn replied to adamd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Knotts Berry Farm. I am going to try and be realistic. 2017: Soak City expansion (confirmed). Fiesta Village Face Lift. Monte gets a repaint, a Catwoman's Whip style flat ride gets placed in Windseeker's location. Most buildings get new paint and some extra theming. Xcelerator gets a new color scheme of light pink track and light grey supports (optional). 2018: Knotts Berry Tales dark ride is brought back in the Boardwalk Ballroom. Everybody is happy because everyone loves it. Boomerang is removed 2019: Mystery lodge gets a new script. Soak City gets a small kids water play area. A pipe scream style ride is placed in Boomerang and Riptide's location. 2020: Camp Snoopy expansion. Zamperla Air Race replacing Mexican Hat Dance (tea cups) or Waveswinger. 2021: Gerstlauer family launch coaster. It could possibly replace Pony Express. -
Hello, I saw a recent comment about how there hasn't been a source for that rumor. I have been on vacation without my laptop and haven't been able to get the specific article that mentions KD's FoF. However, I did find the rumor with stating an indoor coaster or dark ride to replace Dino's Alive at Dorney. The photo of the paragraph is down below. I will get the other article that mentions FoF as soon as I get home and have access to my laptop. Just so you know, the other article mentions FoF's relocation, this one just mentions the new indoor coaster.

That's strange. I hadn't heard anything about that. I can't imagine why... most likely because it's unimaginable bull*** and you just now made it up but who knows? lol Edit: Oh, there are rumors "going around" because you posted the rumor in another thread... got it. The Dorney rumor was listed on other sites (will post link once I find it). And the idea of Kings Dominion getting the B&M wing was never said to be a rumor, it was an idea I had. If you read my statements, I listed a rumor that was in an article on Dorney's page, then on Kings Dominions page, I listed an idea I had (it even said idea). These are 2 totally separate things: an idea and a rumor, and it very clearly stated which was which. I also don't appreciate you bashing me on this forum, if you would like to bring something up with me, please message me. And for anyone else that wants to comment, please note that Dorney's is a rumors. WoF/KD is an idea.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
Mr. Corn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
To start, please don't be rude, but I'd love to respectfully hear your opinions on this idea. Send Flight of Fear to World's of Fun to become their new 2017 or even 2018 addition. Use that Flight of Fear space for an Alien themed launched wing coaster for 2018. It could have a Furious Baco style pre show room before launching out of the building. It would be an out and back style wing coaster headed towards Dominator. Also, there was lime green track spotted outside the B&M Ohio plant, which would support this idea. Let me respectfully hear your ideas below -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Full Throttle @ Six Flags Magic Mountain -
Hi there Bogie, The Single Rider Rides Are: +Riddler's Revenge +Lex Luther: Drop of Doom (This is the drop tower on the side of Superman) +Viper +The New Revolution (No VR for single rider, but you'll practically get front row every time) I don't like to rank rides in order because it changes a lot so I rank them in tiers. Tier 1 are the best rides and Tier 5 are the worst. If you want the biggest thrills and best rides, look at tier one. Tier 1: +Tatsu +X2 +Twisted Colossus +Superman: Escape from Krypton +Full Throttle (AKA Full Throttle) Tier 2: +Batman +The New Revolution (VR is ok, but the lines because of it are horrendous, so make this your first ride if you want to do it) +Goliath +Scream (It is very rattly so be warned) +Roaring Rapids (Water Ride, its a very fun ride if you don't mind getting wet) Tier 3: +Ninja +Apocalypse (If your okay with getting the crap beat out of you) +Riddler's Revenge Tier 4: +Gold Rusher (Jerky mine train) +Road Runner Express +Viper (I've heard mixed reviews, but overall, people don't like it due to head banging) Tier 5: +Speedy Gonzales Hot Rod Racers +Canyon Blaster (You can't get on the ride without a kid) +Magic Flyer (Ditto what was said above) Make sure you start your day with The New Revolution with VR, because a short line took my friend and I when we went 75 minutes! You can always ride in the front using single rider without VR later (The headsets don't calibrate in the front, so it will almost always be a walk on with single rider). If Superman: Escape from Krypton is open, ride the Helpful Honda Express (the tram ride located right near the carousel) up the hill and ride it, it is known to break down a lot. After that, then go do Twisted Colossus. After Twisted Colossus, enjoy the park. Everyone runs to X2 when the park opens, just wait until 2 o'clock and it is almost always a walk on. If you need any more help comment below and I'll be happy to help. Hope you have a great day! -Mr. Corn

To start, I would love to respectfully hear what you have to say about my ideas. Please note that this is my idea, and I haven't specifically heard this from any person or website. This is my idea on how Michigan's Adventure could get 4 "New" coasters for the 2018 season. I know that Cedar Fair is not that into ride relocations, but I could still see this happening. The overall reason why this could happen is Michigan's Adventure needs a new roller coaster, and the overall reason why it couldn't is Cedar Fair doesn't like ride relocations Rides they would remove in 2017, and what they would have to do before re-installing them in 2018: +Vortex from CGA: New Paint, New Name +Vortex from Carowinds: New Paint, Floorless Cars +Boomerang from KBF: New Paint. New Vekoma Vest Trains +Time Warp from CW: New Paint. Possibly a new name Reasons why this could and couldn't happen: Vortex from CGA Could: +This ride is really old and in need of a face lift +It isn't popular. When I visited over the summer a couple years ago, this ride was consistently a walk on. +The area was listed as a new attraction space when Cedar Fair released their future plans for CGA Couldn't: +It just got new paint, so that means it could have a refurbishment +It was rumored to get the floorless treatment and stay at CGA Vortex from Carowinds Could: +Carowinds has been rapidly expanding, and this could go to make more space +A Floorless would be a good fit for Michigan's Adventure +There are so many other good coasters at Carowinds, this gets overlooked an therefore isn't super popular +They have been removing coasters +This space could fit some of the 5 flat rides that their getting from Europe Couldn't: +This one has been highly rumored to get the floorless treatment and stay there +Cedar Fair has dumped over $300 million into the park, so I would be surprised if they replaced it with anything (due to the amount of money they've spent), and something is better than nothing (Excludes Hades 360*) Boomerang from Knott's Could: +While Carolina Cobra (another boomerang in the chain) got vest restraints and updated cars, Knott's didn't +Riptide, a ride located right next to it, was removed. If they removed this also, they would have a lot of room to add a new ride +They have 4 rides that deliver rides that are under 30 seconds. Excluding the lift hills, this one is about that short too. Knott's could put in a much higher capacity ride in its place +The entire boardwalk got a major facelift with the addition of Voyage to the Iron Reef and The Boardwalk, but Boomerang (located right next to those additions) didn't. It just got paint Couldn't: +Knotts said that they are moving towards being a "family park" so removing this ride would help them go in that direction if they placed it with a couple family rides Time Warp from CW Could: +It has been reported on Screamscape from a Canada's Wonderland insider that it will be removed +It isn't popular (from what I've heard) +Canada's Wonderland is reportedly getting a new wing coaster in 2018, so if they removed this in 2017, they would have some room to work with Couldn't: +It doesn't take up a huge amount of space +Maintenance is pretty minimal (from what I've heard) +They will probably want to keep the title of Canada's Only Flying Coaster

Maybe they simply don't want one. Their attendance certainly isn't calling for it. Moves like a re invigorated Ghost Town and family attractions seem to be more successful at this park. At least so far they've made a conscious choice to leave the big coasters to SFMM, and it's worked for them. I think your absolutely right. In the future I could really see them trying to become more of a family park. Better flat rides, better theming, more dark rides. Disney is so expensive these days, if Knotts added more family/dark rides, they could take all the people that can't afford Disney. I really like the direction their headed, and I think we will see them adding a lot more family coasters and dark ride. As much as I would like to see a hyper like Mako @ SWO, I don't think that its ever going to happen.

1) Wave Swinger is extremely popular. It's not going anywhere. 2) The Fiesta Stage is used a lot more than you think. 3) Those buildings adjacent to Boomerang contain a very popular and profitable ballroom, an employee break room, fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo room, and cafeteria, guest restrooms, several food outlets, ride offices, and the Calico Mine Ride 4) Or since Boomerang is very old just scrap it for cash and then sell Michigan Adventure. 5) Remove Pony Express, sell it for scrap, and leave that space empty. Plus a coaster going all over Ghost Town would destroy Ghost Town. 6) It's Camp Snoopy, but I agree on the new attractions. 7) Do you realize the bumper cars are under the theater ramp? It would have to be a literal flat ride. 8) Jaguar! the coaster is currently using its own temple. You can't use it for your dark ride. 9) Where would your new wooden coaster go? 1) I didn't know that the Wave Swinger was extremely popular, as whenever I visit, its seems dead 2) Also something I was not aware of, as I've only seen it been used once 3) I can see where you are coming from. 4) That is a viable point too, I was looking at it as a way that Cedar Fair would save money and give Michigan's Adventure a new ride 5) If they weren't going to replace it, I would rather see it stay. 6) 7) I looked at a couple of photos and the ramp goes around the bumper cars. So if they removed the bumper cars roof, they would probably have room 8) I am very sorry, I forgot to mention that Jaguar would have to go for this ride to happen 9) I was thinking behind Bigfoot Rapids and the Mystery Lodge, but I could easily see them not doing the Mack Multi-Launch, getting rid of Pony Express and putting it there. As a new visitor to the site, I thank everyone who read my ideas and respectfully gave their's back.

I have an idea of what Knotts could do to really improve their park: 2017: Remove Boomerang and adjacent buildings. With Riptide, Boomerang, and the adjacent buildings gone, put in a Hyper G-TX in its place with a dual stations for added capacity. To go with the boardwalk section, call it Riptide Racer and give it a surfing theme. Move boomerang to a park that needs a new coaster *cough* Michigan's Adventure *cough* 2018: Add a couple flat rides. An Enterprise (Like the one at Six Flags Over Texas) and Troika would work great. If there was room I would also like to see a Pipe Scream style ride. The Troika can replace the Wave Swinger in Fiesta Village. And the Enterprise could replace the barely used stage in Fiesta Village or the Wheeler Dealer Bumper Cars 2019: Time for Another Dark ride. Combine Windseeker's and Jaguar's location to build the ride. construct a themed extension building in Windseeker's queue. Use the bottom floor for the line, and the top floor for the ride. Make it like Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin, have it wind through the temple in various scenes. Have it be themed to a ferocious jaguar that has been awakened by treasure hunters entering the temple. Use things like faux fire, smoke, and projected screens to simulate being chased as you try and escape the temple. You can put things like falling boxes and other things to help fill the space, and it wouldn't hurt to maybe have a couple of animatronics. 2020: Planet Snoopy addition with a couple rides and a revamp of their current kids show. Be jealous of Cedar Point's 150th anniversary addition, which will certainly be super awesome. 2021: Send Pony Express to a park that needs a new roller coaster. Put a Mack Family Multi-Launch in its place. Have it go all over Ghost Town and give it a tunnel (My next prediction for a rollercoaster would be either a Wooden Warrior style coaster, or a smaller GCI in 2023 or 2024)

My friend and I decided to head out to SFMM on the 27th to try and beat Memorial Day crowds, ride The New Revolution, and have some fun before finals week. We didn't realise that one of the local school districts were taking all their kids to Six Flags that day, but otherwise, crowds were pretty light. We got in about 16 rides due to our flash pass which was a life saver. I am truthfully sorry that some of the photos are not perfectly clear. I either had to zoom in a ton to get the shot, or I had bad lighting. Again, I'm very sorry. Let the photos begin! Wow the crowds dont look to bad from here Random photo of the entrance sign. Yes this was taken at night, and yes, I forgot to take a picture of this when I first came in Yes! The New Revolution! Love the gravel sign. It looks really nice in the line Long Lines Mini Review: In my opinion, I wasn't a fan of the VR. I rode it once with VR and 3 times without VR (using the single rider line) and I found the graphics of the VR to be really blurry. Also, the VR really slows down the dispatch, as you would spend about 2-3 minutes on the break run, just waiting to come into the station. Also, the wiping down of the headset were really slow, to the point where I didn't recive my headset until I was stepping into the train. The ride overall though was really good and the trains were really nice. The ride was pretty smooth and the tunnel was cool, literally. The New Revolution= 5-6 minute dispatches= Next we hit Superman. Super fun launch! The operations on the ride ROCKED. From just inside the long hallway, it was a 15 minute wait. The ride operator was super nice and when I asked if I could fill in an empty seat and ride again, to my suprise he said yes. My friend thought I was crazy, as for some reason he didn't like it When we were in line for the New Revolution, we made a reservation for Tatsu on our handy dandy Flash Pass. Tatsu was running great! Pretzel loop was very forceful. Quick dispatch times. And they, to my knowledge, later in day were running 3 trains. I wish I could have gotten a photo of it. Dang it! We hit Ninja 3 times throughout the day. The ride in the car with the black restraints was very fun and smooth. The 2 rides in the car with the orange restraints were bumpy and head banging filled We used our next reservation for Scream. So after Ninja, we headed on down there. Sadly, I forgot to take any photos of Scream, but we rode in the refurbished train, and it was very fun. After Scream it was time to get some lunch at the best restaurant to ever exsist at SFMM Twisted 'Wiches! But wait, what is that on Goliath's Lifthill? Goliath's Car! Goliath was down all day, and maintenance was up on the peak of its lifthill from about 11-5. Sorry about the blurry photo, I had to zoom in a lot so you could see the car. After lunch, we headed into DC Comics land with one goal. To ride Batman of course! Batman in the back row was insane. Very Forceful and very smooth, with the exception of the turn into the last corkscrew. My friend and I then ran over to Riddler's Revenge. I didn't ride, but he did. While my friend was at Riddler, I noticed that Tidal Wave was closed. No boats, no water, and nobody doing any maintenance. No trip to Six Flags is complete without riding oldest coaster in the park! On our way to Samuri Summit, I looked into the construction zone at the old Batman Action Theater. Please note I didn't trespass, I simply put my camera up to a hole in the fence and shot some photos After Viper, we agreed to suck up the wait at Twisted Colossus and ride it I really love Twisted Colossus. I think it's a great airtime ride for the park that filled a big gap in thier lineup. Still a very fun ride after 1.5 years, and with the entire queue full, it took us 35 minutes to get on the ride. Great job ride ops! My friend and I did Ninja again, and then he did Viper a couple of times and loved it. Sorry, I also forgot to get good photos of Viper After TC, we dicided to finish out our great day with a stellar ride on Full Throttle. The ride ops were really hustling and with 2 cars on the track and the queue filled up to the entrance of the white covering (except the big, weird gap from the exit of the covering to the beginning of the ramp), it took 20 minutes. Still a fun ride that always delivers. (This photo was taken when we arrived and there weren't many people there) I would love to thank you again for reading my update. And one other thing, the crowds when we left were insane due to Grad Nite. It was so bad that people leaving the park would have to walk in the bus lane becuase there were so many people. Anyway, We had a great trip and if you would like, please feel to comment below. Thank you again
