  1. From Québec too! Right now I'm studying musical theater in Lionel-Groulx College, on Montréal's north shore. It is one of the leader school for performing arts in Québec. After that, I'm planning to go to Toronto, or, i don't know yet... I still have one year to decide! (Yeah, I'm entering 3rd and last year August 28th!) PS rcoasters : I know lots of people from Maisonneuve, people from high school and also from the improvisation league... is it your first year there?
  2. Hmmm.. Canada, of course, : Québec (birth place and home) and Ontario USA : Ohio, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachussets France : Bretagne, Normandie, Paris (well, even though Paris should be considered a seperate country since it's so different from the rest of France, in a bad way, sadly)
  3. Last week, on my way to work, I got a chance to see the ride testing from the south shore, and in real, it seems to go faster than on the video and it looks like a whole bunch of airtime, really, I thikn it's going to be an exiting ride... And the trains look better than the ones on SFOG's Goliath IMO... I don't know... They have the exact same design, but the turquoise and orange bump me for the trains... Anyway, La Ronde's Goliath looks like a full-of-G-forces-ride, but more like a hell-of-an-airtime-ride... And because I stood there looking at it in the middle of the bus terminal, I missed my metro...
  4. The new Goliath at La Ronde is a parking lot coaster... then again, the fact that it's surronded by the river on both of its sides makes it better. (and there's gonna be an awesome view of the city too) I don't know if we can consider Disaster Transport as a parking lot coaster, but the whole area surrounding it looked like a parking lot fair...
  5. Hey!... I'm not totally new, as I've read the forum for a couple of months, but I was bored so I decided to post 'cause you guys seem a bunch of fun! I live in suburban Montréal, and my home park is La Ronde.. and yeah... I'm in college in musical theater and I wub musical theater! (and coasters too, don't get confused)
  6. Here comes a hard one... My real name is JS... which is a short for... Jean-Sébastien!... hehe... Always fun to hear english people say my name... But it's not my fault, blame my french parents!...
  7. I have peanuts in my teeth.. I hate when it does that, especially when you're far from your toothbrush...
  8. I've been on antibiotics for the last 10 days... But now I'm back! (And guys, american beer tastes nothing compared to what we have here... well... IMhbt/dO (In my humble beer tester/drinker opinion))
  9. How much fun can you have with a Webcam that takes blurry pictures.. lol I have thiking on this one... Quite a hard activity... *sigh* manhood
  10. Well, I guess it would be Toboggan Nordique.. at La Ronde... It's just a small wild mouse ride themed as a bobsled course... But whenever the line is short I want to catch a ride on this one... (Actually, my mom really loved it and bought the picture... )
  11. Gemini... I heard it was a lot of fun, and I just found it plain... (Well, the blue side wasn't running that day... I guess it didn't help) And Mean Streak.. well, it has never been overrated, but I found the look of the coaster impressive and it just looked like a great ride.... surprise surprise : it wasn't! (my poor little body, good thing they had lots of seats and a flume ride in front of it...)
  12. Some of you folks mentioned the little gap in the tracks... Well I think I have an probable explanation. During the winter, it gets really (REALLY) cold here, and during the summer it gets really (REALLY) hot... the tracks need dilatation gaps so the steel can expend or chrink, depending of the weather... (In the 1950's, they did that error on a bridge here, it collapsed when it began to get cold... and we wouldn't want our goliath to do the same!) The only thing is, I don't know if I saw those gaps on other coasters at La Ronde... As for the station, it is themed that way because Goliath is situated on the border of the medieval village section of the park, so I think it'll fit great with the area!
