  1. Looks like some parts of the new coaster have already arrived at IB. https://www.facebook.com/midwestcoasterfans/
  2. I have not heard anything confirmed about Falling Star leaving.
  3. I'm not sure what abovethesink is talking about... Why the hell would the new owner buy this ride without thinking about all of that already?? There are plenty of Schwarzkopfs still running fine. Look at the one at Lagoon. Its running fine. The Scorpion at Busch Gardens?? It's even older. So where are they getting parts from?? From someone apparently since they are all running great and have been for years. Do you really think IB would buy this ride without consulting a manufacturer to see if its saveable?
  4. Alpina Bahn got nice new trains. Will Drier looping get the same for Indiana Beach?
  5. How many more years we gotta wait until Olympia arrives here too??
  6. OMG this is amazing!! I rode it in Mexico, and it was such a fun ride, but had terrible operations. I wonder who is doing the refurb?? Premier? Gerstlauer? Zierer? I wonder if it will get the new trains like SDL over at Hershey?
  7. Here is a recent video update. I cant believe they left those Quimera trains still sitting there on the track midcourse!
  8. I wonder if they will try to sell the Quimera or just junk it. With a complete refurb and new trains like they did for SDL over at Hershey, it would be a good addition for a small park here in the US.
  9. I mean how stupid can you be to post that on social media?
  10. My first time visit to KK was a couple of weeks ago. I could not believe how cheap the flight was to Louisville, and park tickets were super cheap also. Oh and this park is very close to the airport! Just a few miles away. I decided to go for it even though it was going to be over 85 degrees. Let's just say I made good use of the waterpark. I was impressed with the wave pool and I could have stayed in the lazy river all day. The dry park was ok I guess for a small city park. The coasters were fun but did not really blow me away. The RMC and Chance coasters were the best there. The woody Thunder Run was average at best and was horrible in the back seat. T3 rattled too much, and almost made me puke. Well it could have been the heat too. I am not used to being at parks in the summer heat. Spending the rest of the day in the waterpark helped out perfectly. I felt much better after a while. Kentucky Flyer was ok, but its really a family coaster. I shied away from the new enterprise ride they had with floorless seats. I thought the heat and the spinning would not work well together. If you are driving thru I guess its worth a visit, but its not a destination park unless you throw in Holiday World in Indiana also which is about a hour and a half away. Much better wood coasters there! Anyway on to the pics. I go there so early nobody charged me for parking. Pretty average entrance plaza. Nice touch. Not very busy in the morning. Most all rides were walk on. It was hot! I find it hilarious they have spectator bleachers for a Super Loop/Fireball ride. Skipped it due to it being too hot. Skipped this too, but really wanted to try these new style Enterprise rides. I do like the look of these seats. This park actually has a road running thru it. They had attendants stopping cars to let pedestrians cross over. I swear this was the loudest lift hill in the park. That thing was noisy! This road splits the park. I was told this ride came from King's Island. Walk on. Average at best. Another walk on! You can get right up close to the ride right outside the park. I was able to get some good shots. ehhhhh Another walk on, for obvious reasons. I found the restraints to be a bit unusual. This was actually quite relaxing, and the air helped. The park does have a few shady areas. Added plus was the waterpark included in the already cheap admission. You can get very close to this coaster right outside driving by. That's all!
  11. Shame they could not open Steel Curtain. The main reason I did not go.
  12. A bunch of crybabies complaining about Skyrush. I rode it and I didnt scream like a baby or complain when I got off. Lots of exaggerating.
  13. Any specific reason why they have SDL closed?
  14. Sounds like too much trouble and not worth it.
  15. Does anyone know who the author of that new book CP 150 years is? Looks nice.
  16. I have been reading quite a few negative reviews about this park elsewhere. Lots of complaints about the ride reservation system, and over crowding no social distancing, especially at the water park.A bit concerened since I am planning a visit there on a Sunday in a week or so.
  17. I wont be visiting until Steel Curtain opens.
  18. For some reason I like the old Hershey entrance and village than the new one. Just looks like a outdoor mall. No charm like the original.
  19. Watching the web cam today, looks like they got a few more coasters open that were closed last week. I saw Wicked twister, Blue Streak, Corkscrew and Rougarou open.
  20. Funny I heard that some thrill rides there allowed you to take off the mask. Im curious what ride did a operator get on speaker and make that announcement?
