  1. Ill be heading to the park on Labor Day Weekend (Possibly Sunday) while I'm in the area. I was just wondering if anyone knew an estimate on how long with Fast Lane it would take to get all the coasters done? I'm really hoping to stay longer but it might just be a coaster run! I also know not all the coasters are on Fast Lane.
  2. Went to check out Apocalypse on Saturday to get the "new" credit, do the water park and some other coasters! We arrived at the park and headed straight for the water park to get that out of the way since the morning seems to be the best time to get that done. While putting out stuff down at the lounge chairs people had already started fighting over laying their stuff down and not moving. There had to be 100 other lounge chairs but of course they were calling security. I just walked away thinking... "REALLY?" I actually like their water park and my daughter really likes going there. We were able to get all the slides done at least once in about an hour or so. We then headed to the wave pool which was much cleaner then most years I have been there. We heading out for lunch at about 1:30 and then went to the rides side of the park. We finally meet up with my friends Nicole and Steve who had got all the coasters done in about 2 hours since Nicole had never been there before. We headed straight to Apocalypse which looked GREAT in my opinion. I liked that they had swat characters walking around even though it wasn’t that busy. We waited for about 10 minutes mainly because the ride crew was doing a great job, much better then Green Lantern at SFgadv. The ride while looking great was not so great, other then the drop and loop it was very rough. It wasn't the worst I've been on but it’s up there. After that we just did a few more coasters and then headed home. Jokers Jinx - (2 trains, 10 minutes) Always one of my favorites at the park. The launch is great and really reminds me of The Chiller which I still miss at Great Adventure. Towards the end of the ride it seems to pick up major speed which I don’t remember. Also the Joker was walking around the ride which was nice. Roar – (2 trains, 5 minutes) WOW! This coaster has really got rough since I last rode it. My friend Tori had to take Advil afterwards LOL Superman - (2 trains, 10 minutes) I haven't ridden this in a few years and it’s still my least favorite out of Bizarro, MF & 305i. I'll be riding Ride of Steel this summer on LeviaTHON so can't wait to see where that falls. The best part this time was that my daughter Devin rode it and I wish the camera hadn’t gone out because she always takes funny pictures whenever she gets on coasters. Wild One - (2 trains, 10 minutes) Beginning is great but the end is a little rough. It's still a really good wooden coaster and maybe its just because I like that its one of the oldest ones. Overall it was a great day and we had a good experience. The park is really trying and hopefully it does a turn around like Great Adventure did after their bad years in the early 2000's. I took a few pictures since I REALLY need to get a camera, my phone wouldn't take many pictures because I had no memory left. Devin and her friend Joey with Joker and Taz! Devin having a problem with Taz! With Devin at the Wavepool! Had a great time with her, Joey, Tori, Nicole and Steve!
  3. Those pictures are great of Great Adventure and it's just reminding me how mad I was for not doing the add-on after the NorthEast Trip! The park has been looking good for years now after some horrible years.
  4. After some problems in the morning at Dorney, they really got things going and had a dedicated train just for Coasting for Kids. They gave us a free on-ride photo with a frame(14.99) plus the lunch ticket and fastlane (which was not really needed, the rides side was not crowded). I almost got 25 rides in, I wish I could have done more but I did stay around the ride area for most of the day while not riding. The heat seemed to really get to me along with the helix. I'm glad I did the event and that Team Dorney/Team TPR did such a great job raising money. Also got to meet some great people from TPR! The awards ceremony was pretty quick but seeing the family and the two little boys so excited was well worth it. When the mom started her speech I really held it together plus she did keep it short. Her one son (she has two sons who are sick) almost died during surgery in March, so seeing him there having a great time was amazing. Can't wait till next year! Hope everyone else had an amazing day!
  5. The ride and media day looked great! Can't wait to check it out on June 23rd!
  6. Goal reached.....congrats!! Plus, with the return donation (added to the $10 cash I got from a coworker just now), I've now hit my goal as well!! Thanks again to everyone here at TPR that helped me get there! You guys are so freaking amazing!! Congrads on your amount! I'll see ya Sunday!!
  7. You go Tim (dannerman) - https://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/timothy-danner/DorneyPark is at his goal now! Michael (GwaziBSRider1) - https://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/michaelwilsonwv/DorneyPark said on LeviaTHON Boards that he has to enter his offline donations. So all of Dorney should be at $75.00!
  8. I just saw this on the news this morning, its so funny to hear the news reporters description of what happened. Hopefully it's back up and running by Sunday.
  9. Yeah Maine was the nicest day of the trip for me also! That parade UGH, I remember them saying don't cross and all I was thinking was "They will leave me" LOL
  10. It's nice to hear that the new flats actually have lines! I'm going to make my way back to the park this year since I went opening weekend and SkyScreamer wasn't open.
  11. Great pictures Derek! I can't wait to head there this summer and ride this coaster. I also love that you can skip Founders Circle now, when crowded that area can get very packed and this will be a nice shortcut to Sky Rush!
  12. I'm so glad this park (in my opinion) has made a turnaround and that they are adding flats. The park has amazing coasters and with these flats it's alittle more balanced. I already went opening weekend and while some operation on coasters were iffy...everything else was great!
  13. Id have to agree Can't wait to check out the ride and have another visit to the park with TPR at East Coast Bash!
  14. It is AMAZING, I couldn't have imagined not having it on the Saturday we were at Six Flags New England on the Northeast Trip.
  15. Best Boulder Dash (Lake Compounce) The whole ride is great but the ending is amazing! ERT on Northeast Trip could have added to it also! Worst Great Bear (Hersheypark) I know it was most likely the area it was built but still ends badly. Excalibur (Funtown/Splashtown) The first half is great in my opinion, then you hit that one part towards the end and it completely slows down.
  16. This is crazy talk! Half of the pages on here are crazy talk
  17. You have been on this site long enough to know what to expect correct? The ride looks good but yeah an 11/10 seems a bit blown out of proportion but peoples opinions are different. I'm hoping to do all of East Coast Bash because at first I was only thinking about doing KD.
  18. Very much agree! When this was announced I'm not sure everyone thought it would be this good and keep the theming but they proved some people wrong. Now hopefully the reviews for the ride are good!
  19. Absolutely this. There is a garbage can about half way down the station, people think it's a powerful force-field that they can't pass. So true, forgot to add that and the fact that when you say excuse me to people by the trash can, they usually dont move
  20. Wow this park looks really amazing! Lego's were my thing as a kid. Hopefully one day I'll be able to check it out and even try those Waffle Spears....hmmmm
  21. Great pictures as usual Werner! Between both trips I'm sure you guys did that many times!
  22. Superman (If one train is running...its the longest line usually) then maybe Kingda Ka would be my first one to hit, El Toro's line seems to move fast. It seems in El Toro's station the front gets so busy but going towards the back of the station it's empty.
  23. Great pictures of these two parks! Can't wait to check out Seabreeze before LeviaTHON and then Martins Fantasy Island on the actual LeviaTHON trip. After riding Silver Comet I'll have ridden all of the "Comets" in the USA.
  24. ^ Wow Ive never seen one like that! Great pictures!!
