It was still traveling in 2011 with North American Midway. It was close to home in Aug., it was at the Kentucky State Fair, now known as The Avalanche. Brought back memories of when it was the Firecracker. Avalanche, former Firecracker from Holiday World. -

It will be a Mine Train themed to a " Gravy Train" -
When Ky. Kingdom opened for it's very first year, the Bumper Cars were in the building that they're moving them back too. I can't wait to ride Lightning Run, the train is ultra cool. The ride layout looks fun and I think it's perfect for a new opening, yeah it's not Chang or 150 ft. tall but it looks like a blast. I Purchased my Season Pass last night, come on Summer!

I for one am excited about all the New Addition's, The Coaster looks fantastic, love the Larson Drop Towers and the thing I'm most excited for is a Sea-Lion Show " going to try and get a position in that show". I will most likely get a job there again, I worked there for 5 Season's, would really like to work with the Sea-Lion's " have worked with Wild Animals in my past", worked for 2 different Zoo's If I can't work with the Sea-Lions, I will go back into Rides. The Waterpark addition's look great also, giving Splashin' Safari a run for it's money, may just get a Season Pass here and forget about Holiday World this year.

In 1970 Funni-Frite of Columbus, Ohio started designing a walkthrough named the Voodoo Trail for the park. Based on a concept originally created around 1965, this funhouse would contain both dark and lit areas with plenty of gags. Let's take a trip back in time and get a ticket to the Voodoo Trail. Source Loved walking through the Voo Doo Trail,it was fun, had a blast many of times in there. You started down a dark Hallway into a Maze of Keyholes, you either found a Dark deadend, or a Path to the outside part. Once in the outside " behind Jail Cell Bars in front of everyone" you continued you Journey. First you encounter the come and go boards, then the floor Shakes below you. You continue walking then a stack of Barrel's are about to fall on you. You then walk up a ramp and back into the Darkness. Inside you walked past a few " Scary' displays" before exiting, out the Door, to the left there was a Giant Pot with a Zombie head poking up and spitting water on you. It was very cool in the 70-80's. -
Yes, all of the Parks Show's and Attraction's are " Family Friendly", no Blood or Gore, just " Happy" Halloween. For their 2nd year at doing a Halloween Event, it was really good. The Mummy's Maze, was new for this year, it was a walk-through with a " Maze" in the center. Before you go into the Maze, they give you a Sheet of paper with different Symbol's, with a letter below them, then you look for those Symbol's in the Maze and try to figure out the " Secret" Message. You could Enter your Answer in a Drawing for Free Ticket's, it was a Fun Maze. Holidogs 3-D Halloween Adventure was a Blast. You are given a pair of 3-D glasses, before you enter. It's a Maze of Fluorescence Image's and Blacklight's. The Best Part of the Maze is the " Spinning Tunnel", love those things, in 3-D. I did it twice, was so much fun. The whole Event was very enjoyable and you can't go wrong with " Coaster's" in the Dark. I would recommend it to anyone, who is in to a " Fun" Halloween Event, instead of Scary or Bloody.

Went to Holiday World's, Happy Halloween Weekends, had a blast. Started the day by watching the Magic Show, it was good, some really nice tricks. Next we took the " Hay Ride" to the Corn Mazes, went for the BIG one, was lost for about 45 minutes. Checked out the Musical Show, " Graveyard Smash", it was very entertaining, they worked their butts off. Did the Mummy's Treasure Maze, it was OK, but Holidog's 3D Adventure was Fantastic. It had some really cool 3D affects, plus the Tunnel, really threw your Equilibrium off. Voyage in the Dark was Awesome, 3/4 of it was very enjoyable, but after that last 90 Degree turn, it was a little rough " but there going to work on that this Winter". To End the Night they had a Awesome Laser Light Show, that concluded with the Cast of Graveyard Smash dancing to " Thriller". All in all, I had a great experience and I would recommend it to Everyone. Welcome to Happy Halloween Weekends Halloween has taken over Christmas. Loved these Tombstone's The Christmas Tree is no more. Loved all the Fall Decoration's throughout the Park Gourdon the Story Telling Pumpkin. He told Stories a few times a day. The Rapids, was taken over by Goblin's. Even the Animal's in Splashin' Safari, put on a Costume. They had all these Hay Bales painted along the Hay Ride or the Path, you walked, to the Corn Mazes. Here was a Mummy This one is for Holiday Worlds newest Mascot, Kitty Klaws. Graveyard Smash, was " Frightfully Entertaining" and worth watching. They added their own "Spooky Touch" to some of today's hits. The Laser Show at the end of the night, was well worth staying for. They played some really cool " Halloween Themed" music. To end the Show, the cast of " Graveyard Smash" came out and danced to Thriller. Was a fantastic day and I'll definitely go back next year!

Was at Holiday World last night for their Happy Halloween Weekends. The Park looked great, had some great decorations, great Halloween Attractions ( Holidogs 3D Adventure was a blast) and at close they had a Fantastic Laser Light Show. Was lost in the Corn Maze for about 45 minutes and The Voyage in the dark was Out-Of-Control, overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it to everyone. Saw Lori walking around the Park most of the day, talking and cleaning like Pat used to do. -

I'm going Oct. 12th, it looks like it's Family Fun, not Scary at all. I'm looking forward to it, change of pace, plus riding the Coaster's and other rides in the Dark. Look's like they have a Cool looking Laser Show on Sat. Night's and a Halloween Style Show in the Hoosier Celebration Theater every night. Paula says Crowds are light compared to a Summer Weekend. -

This is what sets Holiday World apart from most parks. I'm glad that they're spending their money wisely, and not throwing a bunch of rides down in a field, without thinking about what the next 10-20 years are going to look like. So True, they're not it for the Now, they know that got that made. They look towards the Future and what it may bring.
