I'm curious to see what they do for rides like the Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror that have those smaller show rooms before the rides. More so the tower of terror which has that really small pre-show room. Is it possible to just have the lines go straight to the rides? I know it's not ideal for either but I'd rather be able to ride a partial ride than no ride at all.

I'm keeping my membership going to support the parks but I'll pass on actually going this year until this stuff ends. I do wish I could just get a full refund on the meal plan that I'm going to end up not using at all though instead of it just having months added to next season but oh well it is what it is.

I'm really curious to see what they end up doing for Halloween Horror Nights. I had such a great time last year and was really looking forward to seeing what they are going to do with the 30th anniversary. I would still like to try to go but I'm definitely going to wait and see how things play out over the summer.

My one year membership anniversary was last month April 14. Yet I was charged this morning $9.95. Since my membership "ended" last month, does anyone know why I was still charged? I have no plans to cancel my membership because I want the free upgrade. The upgrade won't added on until MM opens. So i understand that part why i'm still at gold status, just confused about still being charged. There is an option to "pause" your membership. Anyone know if that will affect your free upgrade? I believe by the end of the membership they are talking about if you cancel you'll end up with an extra month so you're still being charged because you are keeping your account going. If you pause you will not get the free upgrade.

Makes perfect sense really, it eliminates the need to run those trucks at a limited capacity as well as eliminates the need for the tour guide and driver. The lines to get into this might be crazy long though with people wanting something to do while still staying away from others. Hopefully people behave and don't screw this up for others.

I think this version of sitting with your own party makes way more sense than that picture of that other park that had people seated by themselves in every row in alternating sides on that coaster. I don't see myself going to any parks this year at this point though, I'd rather just wait until we move past all this.

I love the Busch/SeaWorld parks but them changing the levels of membership a few years ago immediately the year after they rolled it out made it a mess and it's my only complaint about the parks. I was originally a Platinum holder for busch gardens Williamsburg who upgraded to a Premier (the top level) membership at the time and the next year they rolled out more levels and Platinum membership became the top level against but I was grandfathered in on the perks because the premier membership I was on had almost all the same benefits as the new platinum membership. It makes it confusing for the staff too. The email they sent me included two things, one saying I get 20% off dining and shopping and another saying 30% lol

It was actually like 50 something million and the stalker and the hotels were both found responsible for about half that amount match each but it's not like that stalker will ever be able to pay anywhere near close to the full amount. The hotels were giving her stalker the dates she was staying there as well as a room right next to hers with absolutely no questions asked, that's certainly a bit more than the hotels just not being aware that their peepholes could be reversed. I do agree that a celeb shouldn't be treated any differently though and that anyone should be able to sue for that much if they had this happen to them. -
Great report, the Nintendo store is one of the few things I actually stop in a lot at because they swap out a lot of the displays depending on what's going on. They are always great. We saw the Harry Potter shows as well and I definitely consider myself a casual fan, I enjoyed the movies and I like the rides and areas at Universal but I still really enjoyed the shows. Some of the special effects were just fantastic. You also managed to be here for like the only day of snow we had, I actually haven't had to shovel once all season lol The 9/11 museum looks very well done but I don't ever see myself going and I actually don't know anyone else that has that's from here. Remembering that day and the sight of smoke and that smell for a long time after was enough for me.

I've always wanted queue railing in any room like that simply because I always end up with a group that rushes to the door to be the first ones out and I end up getting on the ride after people who were behind us in line. It's not something that I would stop riding a ride about but it's just a pet peeve of mine.

According to their website it looks like you can get your entire refund back minus a $50 cancellation fee as long as you do it 72 hours beforehand. Did you book something different or did they not tell you this? Worst case scenario losing $50 is better than losing the whole deposit. "Booking/Cancellation Policy: A $50 cancellation fee is charged for any room/unit that is cancelled. We require 72 hours prior to date of arrival cancellation notice for a partial refund. Your partial refund will be your deposit minus a $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel less than 72 hours prior to date of arrival, the amount of the first night room/unit charge and tax will be forfeited." -
So my old gold passes are being offered a "free upgrade to lifetime Gold Plus" I really don't see any benefit here except maybe the priority entrance which I don't really care about anyway. It also doesn't say anything about a price increase in the future for the gold plus membership. Gold plus is about $1.50 or so more a month each pass than my old gold membership but I don't see them just bumping the prices up without any warning. In addition to replacing the months that you lost, we're also going to give you a free upgrade to lifetime Gold Plus for the rest of the 2020 season. With your free lifetime Gold Plus upgrade, you'll get (FREE): Gold Plus Admission and Parking Priority Member Entry Up to 20% off Almost Everything 25% off Season Drink Bottles Invites to exclusive Member Events Discount Tickets for Friends Every Visit

Definitely agree that it makes sense for you, I have the old gold membership so I'm not sure what the plan is for that so I was waiting for the email to decide. I don't really think there is much of a difference between the old gold and gold plus just from looking at what gold plus offers if that's what they are considering an upgrade for my passes. I hadn't renewed our cedar fair dining passes and 1 of our drinking plans simply because we weren't making it to their parks enough anymore to make it worth it but after this whole mess I'm really glad we didn't because we might not even make it to a cedar fair park this season at this rate.

This is getting wild around here. All Broadway shows are closed now and no mass gatherings of over 500 people allowd in NY. Live Nation is canceling a ton of arena tours too. Live Nation canceling all arena tours now too. At this rate I'm not sure how Disney and Universal and the other major parks won't be closed at some point. I hope I'm wrong because all of this is absolutely brutal for everyone and the economy. https://www.billboard.com/amp/articles/business/touring/9333748/live-nation-global-pause-tours-concerts-coronavirus
