  1. Which "Goliath"? There's a woodie, a hyper, a B&M invert, and a GIB
  2. Because it was an amazing concept but was designed almost two decades too early. However if it weren't for X2 there would be no Intamin ZacSpins If X2 paved the way for Green Lantern then that only adds to how much it sucks. You may be right, but they are popular and therefore X2 has it's place
  3. Because it was an amazing concept but was designed almost two decades too early. However if it weren't for X2 there would be no Intamin ZacSpins, no S&S 4D free spins, and possibly even no wing coasters.
  4. most intamin accelerator coasters. top thrill and kingda go real fast and have big drop. big deal. at least knott's xcelerator loops around a couple times after the drop.
  5. cool. they painted the super structure white.
  6. They really went all out on those water dummies. So lifelike they even scream and wave their arms. Sorry, Guy T. Keopp disappeared so somebody had to say it.
  7. New Storm Chaser video on facebook; actual speed
  8. Not if they are required. That's my point. If they are then they shouldn't be.
  9. Goliath is Topper Track like Outlaw Run, Wildfire, and Lightning Rod, not I Box.
  10. I'm starting to think the guy is caricature and purposely being a dunce. Now I feel like an ass myself.
  11. RMC has designed and built several original woodies with Topper Track but so far all of the I Box track coasters are conversions of existing coasters. I wonder if they ever plan on designing an original I Box coaster? I think that track would look sweet on more traditional steel coaster supports rather than the girder look of woodies.
  12. I already told you this is NOT a launched coaster. Lightning Rod at Dollywood is the first launched RMC coaster. This coaster's lift is way slower than Lightning Rod because this is a chain lift and Dollywood is an LSM. That is why they didn't choose a chain lift for Dollywood. Also I hope you're joking but just in case the wheels ride in the center of the top track, not along the edge. That's how it misses all the bolts.
  13. At the :57 mark you can see a guy in a white shirt waking by the crane in the middle of the ride. He looks to be moving at a normal pace. Not sped up. Also Storm doesn't have a launch. You see that big hill in the background? Lift hill. And Dollywood didn't hire the launcher company, RMC, did
  14. Good. Hope it remains an option. They day they stop showing movies in 2D at the cinema is the day I stop going. I still think they should've left Rev alone and done the VR on worthless plain jane boring unthemed Scream! Rev tearing through the trees, especially at night, is one of the best coasters ever made.
  15. I'm liking that the superstructure is all steel. No wood. With the I-box track it has a whole different look.
  16. Can you choose to not wear the VR googles? What if I just want to ride Revolution the coaster?
  17. I guess S&S is discriminating against fat people because there is a 250 lb weight limit on Supreme Scream? These manufacturers are not trying to discriminate against you as a single rider. They are trying to cover their butts from lawsuits. You seriously want to put a company out of business because they don't let your whiny single riding BW on their rides? You're pathetic. I tried to do exactly that on Friday, June 27th of this year at a carnival in Countryside, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) and nearly got arrested and thrown in jail for it. They had the Zipper at that carnival, I tried to go on alone, the operator would not even budge to let me on by myself, then I asked around if anyone was available to ride the Zipper with me, and they complained to the police. And not only did I not get a chance to ride one of my all time favorite carnival rides for the first time in almost 3 years, but I nearly end up spending the night, possibly even longer, in jail. I'm calling BS. The ride operator would never call the police just because you turned and asked for other single riders. Like another poster said you must have been making a scene and cussing up a storm and being an absolute jacka$$ of yourself and judging by the way you're going after them personally and trying to smear them like this I proves that you were doing just that. 1) Why would the manufacture want to alienate single riders? What benefit is it too them? Did a single rider cut off their CEO once on the highway and now they just hate single riders? It makes no sense. 2) I had a friend named Russ but his mom and dad manufactured him because they loved each other not to alienate single riders. 3) Until the New World Order tries to take away roller coasters please leave politics at the door. No, they created a Russ and he doesn't like guys named Russ. Maybe it was a Russ that kidnapped and murdered his family.
  18. I wonder if that includes Knotts Soak City because if so that's a huge increase, like 25-35% increase over 2014. The TEA annual attendance report (which I know isn't exactly 100% correct) listed 2014 at 3.68 million, so 3.68 to 5 in one year is incredible, if it's true. YES BTW together both parks combined for 4,051,000 in 2014
  19. MR is ten times better than any impulse coaster. Besides, KBF has enough shuttle coasters
  20. I'd prefer them remove Boomerang and install a Chance Hyper GTX.
  21. I was surprised that couldn't find an RMC thread so I'm starting one. Post any news, rumors, thoughts, gripes that you have regarding the newest roller coaster design firm in the world.
  22. RMC website RMC wikipedia page RMC/Silverwood relationship RMC history
  23. I'm not saying that at all. RMC has a long and friendly relationship with Silverwood as the company got it's start as the construction company that installed and maintains all of the roller coasters at Silverwood as well as having built their water park. RMC has long said that they want to work with Silverwood on a project but have yet to find the right one.
