If the seats are in a flying position going down that slope, couldn't they rotate 90 degrees counter-clockwise before the flip to sideways track? That would put them upright for what I assume is meant to be a boarding area, which very well might take care of everyone's reach envelope concerns at the end since riders' arms would be restricted by an OTSR. Mhm, except that it depends on how the OTSR will be shaped. You never quite know, though.

But could it be possible? I'd like to see your suggestions for names, should it be located in the areas that I pointed out (Amity Cove or Old Town/Canada Creek), as it'd be very interesting to see your ideas...

I really do wish Thorpe got a flyer though... Hmm... Pseudo naming contest anyone? Pretend the ride will be located near Amity Cove or Old Town/Canada Creek... at Amity Cove you have Tidal Wave, Flying Fish, Storm Surge and Storm in a Teacup, as well as a KFC with a ship -and shark wreck built in, and is themed off a town in New England destroyed by a tidal wave, and at Canada Creek, you have Loggers' Leap, Saw, Samurai, Slammer and Rocky Express, and it's themed off of the Canadian Rockies (So why Samurai is there I don't know), just for those who do want to take part but don't know much about Thorpe Park. EDIT: Upon further inspection, this flyer might be happening after all... There seems to be a fair amount of land near Saw and Loggers' Leap, so could it be possible? Could this be the golden/brown/grey track spotted in Batavia?

Well it's not my fault that Alton Towers have essentially stolen rides and that I think they should be returned to where they should be... You do know it is possible to relocate rides, right? That's why we have flanges and track segments. Not only for delivery but for removal.

I still don't think it works at The Towers. Maybe Thorpe should clone it? Put it where it should be? After all, Alton will be their crappy little selves, leave the paint to fade, moss to build up on the ride and for oxide to develop where the wheels have stripped back the paint.

I personally think that Air should be relocated, should this be true. Of course, I am only one in a few million Thorpe Park and Flyer lovers, but it'd be an interesting prospect nonetheless.

They do know that there were tons of peninsulas that could have been bought out in a matter of hours, right?

Okay, that kinda seems dirty of Alton, even if they were both owned by Tussaud's (now Merlin).

Hmm... So you're implying that because Thorpe didn't have enough land, Alton took the ride straight from under Thorpe's noses, and then recently modified a ride that shouldn't even belong to them to such an extent that it wouldn't be fitting at Thorpe?

So really, Air isn't meant to be at Alton Towers?

The next coaster or large flat will be in 2020, should it go to Thorpe Park, seeing as Merlin have recently introduced a new cycle that lasts 4 years. It goes a little like this: Huge investment Large investment Medium investment Small investment I saw this rumour earlier today on the following post: http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=36342&p=400834&hilit=thorpe+park#p400834 It'd be interesting to see if this will ever happen though. I like to dream it up, and the prospect has recently seemed a lot more realistic.
