  1. If you look at it, it seems that there is more than enough space to fit a Baron 1898 esque B&M Dive Coaster in there. I made sure that the scale was accurate on Google Maps, and I don't think it'd be even a tight fit to put a dive coaster there. We might be seeing Cedar Fair's next large B&M on our hands. The amount of space Baron takes up (Give or take) The amount of space available in Boomerang, Riptide, Wipeout, and the Sky Tower's old spot (Give or take)
  2. Holy crap! They got a lot done since 8 PM yesterday, when it was still just that base that I had pictured.
  3. That just reads dirty. I've just been previously ostracized on other websites for "Trespassing on park grounds" when it was a clear gap in the construction wall. Still a bit sore and not wanting it to happen again.
  4. I visited the park yesterday (3/22/2017) and was able to get some photos of the progress on Sol Spin as well as the progress in Wipeout's old spot. It was a relatively empty day at the park, I was able to get on Xcelerator 7x, Ghostrider 2x, Silver Bullet 1x, Boomerang 3x, Supreme Scream 5x, the Log Ride 3x, Iron Reef 1x, Sierra Sidewinder 1x, La Revolucion, Calico Mine Ride 1x, Coast Rider 1x, and the Surfside Gliders 1x. All photos were taken legally from park walkways through gaps in construction walls. Work at Wipeout's old spot Work at Wipeout's old spot. 5. Hi everybody, I am taking my first cruise on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the seas in about 90 days on its Southern Caribbean itinerary. I am unsure of what to expect food and cabin wise on the ship (As I am going with a larger group we booked the Grand Suite), and was wondering if the upcharge restaurants and experiences are worth it, as well as what to do on shore at the ports (St. Maarten, Oranjestad, Willemstad, and Kralendijk). Any advice on the Voyager-class ships would be welcome as well. Really excited for this!
  6. Honestly, that looks very underwhelming. The launch doesn't look that fast or intense, the ride is short, and the spike isn't that interesting. Mind you, an underwhelming Intamin is better than no Intamin, but I'd put this a solid last in the park behind Formula Rossa, Flying Aces, and Floriana GT Challenge. I think it'd be a great fit at a smaller park, but not here. Sorry to be negative.
  7. Now for the real question--Will it have Tempesto's dreaded "comfort collars" or will it have lapbars with shin guards like the rest of the clones? Either way I think it will be a great ride, so nice to see another high quality coaster come to the west coast. I'd love to see a dual station on this, since they went so far with Manta to have a full exit platform and 4 trains I definitely wouldn't hold it against them to maximize capacity with 3 car trains and a dual station. I've heard lines for Tempesto are near unbearable in the summer, and I really hope that doesn't happen here.
  8. I was able to visit the park on Sunday, and apart from bad lines on Xcelerator and Ghostrider I had a pretty good day. I was able to take a couple photos of the construction on Sol Spin as well as the construction work near Boomerang in Wipeout and the old food court style place. 9. I'm pretty sure Undertow is a Maurer Sohne spinner, not a Mack. But anyway... Mack - Mack Launched - Blue Fire really surprised me. The launch was average, but the second half of the ride was great, especially the ejector inline twist. B&M - Hyper - I was lucky enough to ride Silver Star in the front row with little to no trims. The floater air was plentiful and fun, but not that strong. Raging Bull was also a standout ride even with trims. Intamin - Wing - Skyrush's airtime. Do I need to say more? RMC - Hybrid - Only been on TC, Goliath, and Joker. TC was the standout. Premier - Sky Rocket II - Superman in the front was an amazing experience. The airtime coming into the roll and the hangtime in it make a great ride. Arrow - 4D - I really like X2 on its good days. Gerstlauer - Eurofighter Morgan - Hyper Vekoma - Custom Mine Train - Expedition Everest is a great ride, not just for the theming (but it does play a big role)
  10. I agree with it still being popular, and it may seem like a good step-up coaster at first glance, but I have seen people coming off Boomerang holding their heads in pain. I don't agree that a good step-up coaster has to be smooth, but the first time through the cobra roll really smacks your head around if you are not riding defensively. I would say that Montezooma's Revenge is a better step-up coaster ten times over. But that's just my two cents.
  11. Really? I personally love it. With the Single Rider line you can get on it in ~5 mins no matter how long the line is. The drops give a great feeling of being thrown off and, at least for me, it only hurts when you are inverted on the brake run. Then again, I have a very small body type, so that may be something to do with it. Either way, that Single Rider line is a great way to escape from crowds on a busy day.
  12. I was at the park on Tuesday (I'll upload more photos later) when I saw a silver support while on Scream. I got a photo after getting off, but its hard to see as I took it through a seam in the tarped fence. I don't know if its for the waterslide (most likely) or something else. Original photo Zoomed in and enhanced (with Paint)
  13. Goddamn it. I thought that you were linking to that video a few pages back about some idiot at Lake Compounce sneaking into the woods with his girlfriend. You got me, I'll give you that.
  14. Goddamn it, my nightmares from this thread had only just ceased. Something about dark holes and drowning and getting stuck underwater just freaks me out more than anything else.
  15. There's one twist. Error, or is Six Flags is down-low insulting my ability to count
  16. SFDK subtly recognizing that Kong might beat the crap out of you, especially in any row? Fixed that for you
