Mystery Mine is back up and running. Lightning Rod seems to be doing great as well! Only 15 minutes of down time since it opened back up and that was for a protein spill.

Other news. Mystery Mine closed today. Testing tonight with water dummies. Probably change wheels out due to the colder weather.

Lightning Rod opened with the park today. 1 train, but only running a max 10 minutes wait. Everything feels about the same speed and comfort wise. The launch does feel just a little less intense, but it ends the same with a wicked amount of steam left at the end. I also noticed the oil pan in the station was no longer there. Maybe they took off the self Oiler when adding the smaller front. Also the big news at the park are the Pumpkin Spice Dots! The wait is crazy! Huge News

Folks LR has been open non stop for the last 3 hours and 41 minutes!!!!! Is it to early to order the The struggle is over banners?

A park employee told me it was a option on the app to only have it give times in the park like six flags. As a local I used it as a way of deciding to go or not.

Not sure if it’s a glitch or not, but the ride times are not showing on my app anymore.

The one thing I wish they would add is a Dolly Dining Plan! Dining plans are a must at parks today!

We have a cabin and I’ve been surprised at how many people write in the guest book and say they go to the island and don’t mention Dollywood. It might be because the cabin sleeps 15 and that would be very expensive. Also I’m surprised at how many People go to the dinner shows in town. Dollywood has gotten more expensive and are bleeding a lot of the locals as they expand out to more of the region vacationer.

BF also had a lot of wood rotting due to the water being moved through the ride via the train. I heard it would be hard to keep it going in the future unless they removed the water. The water was used to slowdown the trains and with the new magnetic brake it was no longer needed.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before. The train loop up on the mountain is just as big as the one in country fair. Just to give you an idea just how much can be put in just the upper train loop. Lots of land and ideas to work with over the next few years. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
