  1. So according to this rumor Apocalypse is being converted to a floorless and it'll be Fortnite themed...
  2. I wish. I mean plenty of SF parks receive two or three flats when they get flats. But not us...
  3. The weaker Computing hardware and weaker projection systems on our version and I'm assuming the one in Texas are the results of being first. Cheap building construction is a different issue entirely.
  4. Yeah the surface of the building started peeling almost immediately after Justice League opened. If I was SF I'd be suing someone over that - it isn't acceptable.
  5. Batman. Both B&Ms. You can hang upside down from the rail like a bat.
  6. If they move Hometown Fun machine to where Sky Trail was, that would make a lot more room for an launch coaster (I'm growing more and more convinced about this). The only problem is they probably would've removed it by now. Unless of course it is a small footprint ride like the models already mentioned over the last couple of pages. No need for that land in that case. A Tourbillon would probably fit in the Sky Trail site.
  7. Yeah it'll never happen. Besides it is pretty clear Apocalypse is getting the Floorless makeover Cedar Point ordered.
  8. Typically the park is worth more with the rides intact and operating properly. Add to that Six Flags appears to be in acquisition mode again. I don't think there's any sign of the park being sold. As noted though - if there is no new ride announced on announcement day that'd be the sign. I'd expect the announcement of a sale around then too. Thing is even if the park changes hands I'd expect a new attraction from the new owner.
  9. Yes, it'll use steel it appears. But as stated they have also done flat ride installs. The reason I don't think this is a flat is it is on a nice sized plot of land. Honestly a Sky Rocket or the S&S equivalent might be a bit disappointing though. But we do know corporate likes the concept.
  10. Actually it says they aren't revealing everything yet.
  11. The previous photo on that Facebook account appears to be of a Mack installed somewhere else.
  12. That's simple, what is there to 'tease' about? Removing the Double Helix from the Boss? Opening a new Waterslide late, only to close it for a few weeks on its opening day. Good teaser for SFOT's Troika:
  13. Our park never appears to run much of a teaser campaign. Great America has done one
  14. I believe both Intamin and Vekoma have new launched coaster concepts and neither looks super big. Both might fit the area available. Maybe a Mack considering how much more work they're getting. Or do Skywarps technically launch?
  15. Come on you know you want SFOT's Troika.
  16. I'd expect the main park to be pretty clear while the water park is open. Maybe a slight surge in the crowd at water park close. Then the last two hours nice and clear. 15 minutes will probably be a stretch though.
  17. That would be nice. Better than the setup in Chicago actually - there they have it right at the preferred lot.
  18. If Six Flags St. Louis were going to add a gate for the water park I'd expect it to go in behind the current security checkpoint where they already have a gate they just never open. Cheap and easy even if it only cuts a tiny bit off of the walk and still feeds in to the same path.
  19. Currently the separate gate for their water park is only for passholders (and re-entry) I believe. The water park is still just an upcharge for daily admission guests.
  20. It's SFStL...no..nothing to get excited for Yeah I'm fully expecting the used Troika for 2019. I love Troikas but as the lone 'new' ride it'd be pretty meh.
  21. No loose articles like bags, purses, drink cups or bottles, etc. allowed on rides. Keep your cell phone in your pocket. There are bins in the station of coasters or near the entrance of flat rides you can put loose articles in for free then retrieve when exiting. Hats and sunglasses are allowed on rides though. Lockers are essentially not required at Great America. The locking bins on the ride platforms are color coded to the trains when possible. Significantly better than some other parks in the chain.
  22. So our Loop is just down for General St. Louis dysfunction then.
  23. Shazam was already in the Justice League comics so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  24. Maybe the clearance would be better but I doubt it. There's a staff area near Shazam that I think they'd want to keep and it cuts down on the available space. And the shop is just as tall as the Fling queue building and Justice League is a tall obstacle akin to the swing. I'd wager there's no more than a few feet difference (although sometimes that is all you need). But most flat rides are designed to operate within a certain percentage of their resting footprint since it makes setting up the portable fair versions easier.
  25. I had also considered the queue could end up on the Flume side of the plot. But queue work is essentially required either way if the new ride is installed there. And that is what makes it hard for me to believe they'd do it. It is extra work they don't really have to do. The issue that prevents American Thunder from dispatching until an extra block is cleared still hasn't been fixed and that is something that directly impacts ride capacity every time two trains are run. Why rebuild one queue and install two rides when you can get away with rebuilding zero and just installing one ride?
