What on Earth would drive them to choose the 24 passenger variant? That's significantly lower capacity than Fling isn't it? -

that was my point - losing rides(permanent breakdown and failure) will happen from time to time and sometimes if the ride selection is large enough in a park no big deal. SFSL is was down 2 rides(fling and Xcalibur). I guess we wait till the end of next year to find out that Xcalibur is gone forever; then we get a replacement for that as the next big ride. We were actually down 4 rides counting Shazam and Colossus. One has reopened and now we know one is being replaced so we're down to two that are down - Colossus and Xcalibur. I do expect Xcalibur to reopen as the park supposedly has the replacement component on hand now (they'd have to if they originally aimed at an August open). And that component wasn't cheap. I think many of us would be happy. But barring a Fling-like failure of yet another thing next year I don't see it happening for a while. Which also makes me happy because it is pretty unique. -

Even though other parks get double or triple flat installs I've long resigned myself to the fact that we NEVER will. Even with a nice Troika in corporate ownership available we still get one ride. Oh and if Fling hadn't kicked the bucket we all know that Troika was ours. I'm not sure how much longer Fling would have lasted anyway even without the failure. Those wheels are disappearing everywhere. -

Shocked the queue building isn't staying in place. Well maybe not shocked. I'd just prefer it did stay in place because these types of queues are so darn "meh". -

So according to this rumor Apocalypse is being converted to a floorless and it'll be Fortnite themed... -

I wish. I mean plenty of SF parks receive two or three flats when they get flats. But not us... -

The weaker Computing hardware and weaker projection systems on our version and I'm assuming the one in Texas are the results of being first. Cheap building construction is a different issue entirely. -

Yeah the surface of the building started peeling almost immediately after Justice League opened. If I was SF I'd be suing someone over that - it isn't acceptable. -

Batman. Both B&Ms. You can hang upside down from the rail like a bat. -
If they move Hometown Fun machine to where Sky Trail was, that would make a lot more room for an launch coaster (I'm growing more and more convinced about this). The only problem is they probably would've removed it by now. Unless of course it is a small footprint ride like the models already mentioned over the last couple of pages. No need for that land in that case. A Tourbillon would probably fit in the Sky Trail site.

Yeah it'll never happen. Besides it is pretty clear Apocalypse is getting the Floorless makeover Cedar Point ordered. -

Typically the park is worth more with the rides intact and operating properly. Add to that Six Flags appears to be in acquisition mode again. I don't think there's any sign of the park being sold. As noted though - if there is no new ride announced on announcement day that'd be the sign. I'd expect the announcement of a sale around then too. Thing is even if the park changes hands I'd expect a new attraction from the new owner. -

That's simple, what is there to 'tease' about? Removing the Double Helix from the Boss? Opening a new Waterslide late, only to close it for a few weeks on its opening day. Good teaser for SFOT's Troika: -

Our park never appears to run much of a teaser campaign. Great America has done one -

I'd expect the main park to be pretty clear while the water park is open. Maybe a slight surge in the crowd at water park close. Then the last two hours nice and clear. 15 minutes will probably be a stretch though. -

That would be nice. Better than the setup in Chicago actually - there they have it right at the preferred lot. -

If Six Flags St. Louis were going to add a gate for the water park I'd expect it to go in behind the current security checkpoint where they already have a gate they just never open. Cheap and easy even if it only cuts a tiny bit off of the walk and still feeds in to the same path. -

Currently the separate gate for their water park is only for passholders (and re-entry) I believe. The water park is still just an upcharge for daily admission guests.
