See, now hats on the other hand- I have NO idea how the hell people keep those on while riding coasters. Last time I wore my hat on a ride, it flew off on a ride as calm as Calypso. Then I see people wearing hats on Magnum, Millennium, Diamondback KI, etc. Confuses the ever-living hell out of me. -
I'm going to avoid sounding like an A$$ as much as possible here, but have you ever tried your back pocket? Ever since I've started going to parks more often, I've put my phone in my back pocket, and it stays there unless I'm A) trying to meet up, B) taking touristy pictures, or C) killing time in a long queue. To date, it has fallen out on a coaster precisely 0 times. So like, sitting on your phone on the ride? Not the best idea when you're putting I don't know many pounds of pressure on the screen. Your weight x 5g's at the bottom of the drop...I did this once on Banshee and my Galaxy cracked for the first time. Weird. My current phone, a Nokia touchscreen, has endured Banshee countless times in my back pocket. Maybe it depends on the person, pants, or phone, but the thing has gone near damageless on over 40 different credits since I've gotten it.

Which of those 2 ridiculous things was the joke? Or were they both jokes? You're quite the jokester. Looks like the sarcasm train skipped us both on this one. My original comment was mocking the common belief that vertical construction means everything. Although yes, while neither ride is behind schedule at this point, KI does seem to have much more vertical construction finished, while BG seems to be focusing more on the tunnels and station. Between that and the fence-sitting RMC Mean Streak, only time will tell if any of these open on, behind, or ahead of time. -

We have no reason to believe that either project is behind schedule. What the hell are you talking about? It's a joke, dude, don't get too wrung-up about it. -

Also note that about 40 or so seconds into the video, the camera starts to pan on the former Mean Streak, only to be shunned away with a finger wag. Jesus, Tony is just having fun with us now. -

I fully expect something along the lines of Top Thrill Cubster or Cubbie Force. Cub Streak. How about 68-Year Losing Streak? Top Thrill Cubster it is!!! -

RCDB has it listed as Steel. Im interested to see this to RCDB also updated it, explaining that they assumed it was steel based on it being announced as a smaller, kiddie coaster, but will change it if the ride turns out to be wood. -

Surprised they haven't done more lift construction thus far. -

Nobody's brought this up yet, so here we go: How the donkey are we going to see what's going on past the big lift-crossing left turn with this camera angle? Doesn't seem like there's much else to mount it on to get a good angle, especially with this being more of a terrain coaster in it's back half. They will probably turn the camera Still probably gonna be hard to actually see the progress easily. Much of the layout will be lower to the ground, undoubtedly below the treeline in more than a few places. -

Don't know why CP Rundown would be worried about this. Hell, there's an entire montage of this chunked-up Gemini playing for about a minute and a half during the Platinum Pass promos in the queue TVs. -

I know your comment is awhile back, but apparently the employees are also used to the cold. I was talking to a ride-op for Blue Streak right after he got off his shift (he was wearing shorts in 46 degree weather, wouldn't you stop him?), and he said that it's been as cold as 25 degrees and he was still able to wear shorts. When I asked how, he simply replied with "It's because I'm working". -

Wait, I'm lost, when did we start talking about the pre-lift section? Is there already I-Box track installed? -

With all due respect, should we even have to say that RMC I-box transformations are NOT wooden coasters anymore? Topper track, yeah, given the nature of its track design. But the Iron Horse track is 100% steel, through-and-through. Supports don't mean jack-diddly-squat when it comes to "is it wood or steel". -

Well, I'd buy it Maybe get a big TPR fundraiser going for coasters near death. Hell, a friend of mine own 246 acres, we can do this for YEARS. -

I think it should be pointed out that New Texas Giant was a prototype design, and one with an intentionally slow build process. They were inexperienced with the new technology at the time, so they took baby steps. Twisted Colossus easily trumps New Texas Giant in terms of sheer size, scale, and intricacy, and was completed relatively (or at least comparatively) quickly. My prediction is that RMC Mean Streak opens in 2017, but not with the rest of the park at the beginning of the season. Unless they start hauling ass with construction, that is. Sorry for the double post, but it was censoring by acronym for New Texas Giant for some reason. -

True, but I've never driven remotely that fast, so it's irrelevant to my point! Does 120 on TTD count? The trains are shaped like NHRA Top Fuel dragsters, if that helps.
