Over the holiday weekend I was of the Internet. When I came back, I checked the RCT website and I got an odd notification it said that the website is offline and the website is unreachable. Is it my system, or is the website broken. Any help would be appreciated because a new blog post was confirmed for this week and I would not want to miss out.

Top Roller Coaster Myths & Rumors!
coaster57 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It is a very, very common misconception that the Big Dipper at Geauga Lake was the longest roller coaster at the time of its opening. This is not true because the Thriller at Euclid Beach opened in 1924 and was 2,927 feet long, while the Big Dipper opened in 1925 and was only 2,680 feet long. -
RCT3 For Mac
coaster57 replied to coaster57's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I checked the requirements, and my processer is 1.4, but the game needs 2. The game agent said I might be able to run it. Will I really be able to if my processee is not up to speed? -
RCT3 For Mac

Do you still think the game will run fine on the laptop version? -
I just got a new Mac Air. It is the OX Yosemite or whatever it is called. I am thinking about purchasing RCT3. Without custom scenery, will the game run fine with out slowing down the computer? Also, will I need universal binary?

[youtu_be]http://youtu.be/1os-MJKacSW[/youtu_be] Have you seen this video? Whalom is showcased from about one minute to minute five. It was filmed right before the park was lost. -
Most intense "historic" coasters
coaster57 replied to LuminousAphid's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
[youtu_be] [/youtu_be]Here is the Palisades Cyclone. It is pretty similar to the one at Crystal Beach. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]The Aeroplane at Rye Playland was also a very intense coaster. https://www.flickr.com/photos/37416464@N04/6782319864/ The Coney Island Tornado was known for being intense back in its day. -
Are slot car rides like Test Track at WDW Epcot and Radiator Springs Racers at DL California Adventure considered roller coaster?

I'm not sure where to post this, but is really been bugging me. When ever a backspace on this site, random letters are added to what I am typing. Has anyone else had this problem?

In forums like these many people (myself included) like to air our sometimes very negative opinions about all sorts of things going on at amusement parks. My question is what park, in what year would give us roller coaster enthusiasts nothing to complain about? In other words, what is/was the perfect amusement park?

PTC is known for making some of the best wooden roller coasters, however with GCI a few years ago, and now RMC dominating the wooden marketmarket, PTC has not been up to much. Their last coaster was Black Diamond at Knoebels. Does anyone know what PTC is doing right know?

Theme Park Three Mistakes
coaster57 replied to Rollercoaster Rider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Speaking of the Pirate Ride at Cedar Point, here is a really cool video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpsR3Dkrr9M. The quality is pretty low, however you can still see how neat the ride was. -
Theme Park Three Mistakes
coaster57 replied to Rollercoaster Rider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No, Cedar Point is significantly less enjoyable not ruined, because they removed their two best dark rides and replaced them with literally nothing, removed an awesome boat ride and replaced it with a bunch of stupid dinosaurs, and removed Space Spiral which practically took up no room when Gatekeeper could have easily been designed around it. -
Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
coaster57 replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not to long ago, I got in an argument on whether the oldest coaster was in SFGA in Chicago of Lakemont in Altoona. I found it quite funny they thought SFGA had the oldest coaster, considering it has not been around that long. -

Cedar Point Strike One: Earthquake/ Pirate Rides Strike Two: Whitewater Landing Strike Three: Paddlewheel Excursions Strike Four: Space Spiral/ Disaster Transport -
This parks seems to be very cool, but I wish they had more rides. The only ride planed is the Plagues of Egypt dark ride. A thrilling attraction with Biblical theming would be nice. The reason I think that Christian theme parks have not been a success in the past is because they don't have enough trills. A Babel free-fall tower, a journey to Jerusalem roller coaster, just something that offered thrills would make the already great parks much better. I would also like to note that construction is well under way. The lumber for the ship is starting to be constructed on the site. I can't wait for it to open next year!

You Might Be A Coaster Nerd If....
coaster57 replied to PCW_Nut's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
...you can name every park that was once open around where you live. -
In the last fifteen years, only two major amusement parks have opened. California Adventure and Freestyle Music Park were the two. Because Freestyle closed, only one new park was added. In addition to this Geauga Lake, among others have closed. With many park closing, and not any opening up what does this mean for the American amusement park industry? Edit: Legoland Florida opened in 2011. It was made from an old park, but was essentially brand new.
