  1. Dorney in the past usually gets a coaster every 3 to 4 years and in 2016 that would be 4 years since Stinger so I am a little surprised the rumors of a NEW coaster didn't come true. In 2017, I saw KD and VF getting the big investments, but now is it possible for Dorney to get in the mix since the Dinosaur Alive's contract ends at the end of 2016.
  2. I am going to Busch Gardens July 25 and the 26 which is a Saturday and Sunday. How bad are the lines at that time of the year and will I have enough time to get a pretty good amount of re-rides while also getting enough time to experience the food, shows, animals etc.
  3. Oh, Jurassic World, why are you making us deal with more years of these rubber Dinosaurs.
  4. There has been some activity behind Demon Drop this past weekend. There is some haunt props showing up and some sort of haunted house structure they are building. It is very hard to see from the walkway next to Demon Drop, but you can get a pretty good look at it while you are on Steel Force. It is exciting that we can almost confirm two new haunt attractions this coming year (this one and the one next to Steel Force's lift hill)!
  5. I am going to Busch Gardens Tampa on the second week of August for the first time ever. What day of the week has the shortest lines and how will the lines be in general in that time of the year? Should I think about getting the quick queue?
  6. ^ Even though a launch winged coaster would be a perfect fit for the park, it costs way to much and would be way over the budget that WoF has. I believe Thunderbird was around 22 million to build so with that kind of money I would see maybe a park like Kings Island to get that type of coaster. Also Cedar Fair is still not with Intamin so the new coaster would have to be a relocation from another Cedar Fair park or a cheaper type of B&M launch.
  7. How are the lines like on a Friday, the day I am going is on July 24.
  8. We went over this already if you go back in the forum, but relocated or not an impulse coaster would be a welcomed addition to any park. It's fast (the third and fourth launch), very enjoyable, intense, and actually gets me a little scared when I am in the back of the train. Demon Drop is also a great ride and is surprisingly very scary, mostly because you feel like it is going to collapse. If Stinger didn't break down as much, it wouldn't be bad at all. It's smooth for a Vekoma and is one of the more intense rides at the park, so overall would I like to see new rides come to Dorney, yes, but I also don't mined these good relocated rides. We are going in the right direction with the new Cedar Creek Flyers.
  9. I went at three o'clock so it might have been working at the beginning of the day, but closed for the rest.
  10. Another day at Dorney means another day of maintenance issues with Stinger. Stinger was closed again on my visit, and that means it has been closed for over a week now. On the other hand, Steel Force was running very good today for some reason, maybe because it rained a few minutes before I went on. There was a maintenance guy on both lift hills
  11. This is not unusual, but Stinger has been closed for the last six days at the park. Maintenance has been there and today they were on a crane at the top of the lift hill.
  12. With all of the rumors and almost confirmed attractions coming to the Cedar Fair chain next year, CGA getting floorless trains on Vortex, Carowinds probably getting a big waterpark expansion, Cedar Point's dive coaster, Canada's Wonderland possibility of some sort of new B&M, and Valleyfair's all new parking lot and other major improvements, it looks like Dorney will get a pretty small investment for 2016. I would like to see some sort of family/thrill ride put where Hangtime used to be, since right now it is just weird seeing nothing there and really not a lot of foot traffic with only Talon in the corner. If it did happen next year it would probably be a thrill ride since they just got Cedar Creek Flyers this season, I really don't know what would be a good fit for the park with all of the height and sound restrictions and the very good thrill ride selection they already have. What does anyone else think Dorney could get next year either generally or in the old Hangtime's spot?
  13. A disko "coaster" would be a very nice fit to the park for next year (like I said about the Valleyfair addition last year), but like people said the other parks are getting the attention next year so I wouldn't be suprised if just a flying scooters comes, like Dorney Park got this year (these two parks seem to get the same attractions around the same time period).
  14. New for 2016, Boomerang, the new coaster coming to Kings Dominion! Go forwards and even backwards on a ride you'll never forget. This is the biggest roller coaster the park has recieved since 2010. It will feature what we like to call the Boomerang affect, this great design is made so that you'll feel like someone hit you with a Boomerang, doesn't that sound like fun!
  15. I am not expecting anything big from WoF in 2016, I think a Larson flying scooters would be a great fit for the park, or they can go a little bigger with something like Route 76 that Valleyfair got last year. It cost a lot of money to retrack a coaster like Timberwolf, so I think they'll be doing a good amount a track work next year, since those flats won't cost that much. In 2017 I think a very cool Triotech Darkride will come to the park since Cedar Fair won't add any to there parks 2016.
  16. ^ I get where you're coming from, I always have to play some defense when I am on Thunderhawk at Dorney. I know the layout so much and I know where it whips you around that it isn't bad at all, and actually a very fun ride especially in the front.
  17. Yeah, I'm one of the few who like Mind Eraser. First or second seat FTW! Apocalypse sucks bad. I want to like it, but just can't. If you compare those coasters to other coasters, they don't even come close to even being decent, Apocalypse is so cool looking, but has so much head-banging, you just want to try and like it. Mind Eraser, I can see how you can like it since it is fairly intense and a little fun, but it also has some head-banging and isn't even close to an experience like a B&M invert would give you.
  18. The person who did all of the art for Cedar Fair didn't do a very good job on making them look like the right coaster. It obviously is not a new coaster for next year since every park has at least one mistake on it. I think we need to move on from this.
  19. That's odd I only think that Soarin Eagle is rough and The Tickler is slightly jerky other then that, all the other coasters are just fine. With the retracking of the Cyclone and Thunderbolt running well they are both not rough at all. Cyclone is literally sitting on a couch and Steeplechase it pretty smooth too. Go to SFA then you'll see what is rough.
  20. I would do Wild One because of being so historical and being also a great ride, Apocalypse sucks and one of the worst coasters at the park with head-banging out of this world. Superman wouldn't be that bad of a choice either, if you want more thrill to that 100!
  21. I would seriously cry if they named any ride Flying Fish.
  22. When I was there opening day they didn't have the single rider line, and the line was 30 minutes so I only got one ride on Impulse. I will go later this year to check it out and get a lot more rides on it!
  23. That video was probably taken when it first opened or around that time and then they wanted to change the ride a little so they added the spin at the top (Zamperla does that a lot to there rides at the park). I ridden the Tickler multiple times, my last being October.
  24. On the Tickler you'll actually start some spinning at the top and go down the two drops facing different directions. Ragin Cajun doesnt do any of that, same ride just different ride experiences.
