  1. Found a link that talks more about a park being built in Phoenix. I'm not sure if they are talking about Magic City or another park that they plan to build here in sunny old Phoenix. Theme-park plan pushed as a boost for tourism I hope this park gets built.
  2. I went to that park back in 1997. I remember on the rapids ride, it was called the Grand Canyon rapids or something, you pass by these fake bears. The bears had this green sort of algae in their fur. So every time we would pass them in our boat we would go,"Hey it's the moldy bears!". They also had this inflatable boxing ring with oversized boxing gloves. I was little back then so I could bearly pick the gloves up. But that was the only time I could beat up on my little sister and not get in trouble for it.
  3. Well the park that's closest to me (Castles n Coasters) would have to be my favorite. Even if it is a ghetto park. It's the only park in my state as of yet. I can't wait for them to build Magic City.
  4. I think for me it's just the wonder of how they make those things so BIG! Oh and the airtime. You can't forget the airtime.
  5. RCT is way better cause the rides that come with The Sims Makin' Magic suck.
  6. Both times I've been to Magic Mountain I rode Batman the ride at night in the rain. Everyone was complaining they got raindrops up their nose during the inversions. I didn't get any rain up my nose. Maybe I'm just lucky.
  7. There is a kid in my spanish class who was talking about funny names one time. The only one I remember was he knew a kid whose name was Mike Scott Balls.
  8. I have coaster cravings like all the time. I play Roller Coaster Tycoon and Disney Coaster to satisfy these cravings. I've come to this site almost everyday since I registered on this board. I have a huge satalite picture of Disneyland on the back of the door to my room. I also made a ride in my backyard one time. It was a plank of wood that we made into a ramp by proping it up on some tires in my back yard. We then took my skateboard and sat down on and went down it. My parents made me take it down though because the dog could run up the ramp and jump over the fence and run away.
  9. I liked this one The Ball Pit
  10. Technically my first coasters were the ones at Disneyland (Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Big Thunder) but my first real coaster was the Lightning Bolt at MGM Adventures Theme Park in Las Vegas. I was scared to death of roller coasters then and I only rode it so my little sister who rode it wouldn't call me a chicken. A few years after that my Mom said we could go to Castles n Coasters with my cousins one day but we had to ride Desert Storm if we wanted to go. I rode it, hated it, rode it again, hated it not so much, rode it again, kept my eyes open the whole time, rode again, and became addicted. But I had never ridden any really big coasters until I went to Magic Mountain almost 2 years ago. Now I will ride anything and my sister is the one chickening out. For example, last time we were at SFMM we were waiting in line for Deja Vu and at the same time we're talking her into riding it. She rode it but came off shaking scared. Her coaster addiction will come in time though.
  11. I got the Incredibles on DVD. Best movie ever by Pixar! I'm waiting to see how they will top it with Cars.
  12. I think he did. Just from some of the things he has said over time. I mean what else would he be doing if he was putting alcohol in soda cans and giving them to little kids at his slumber parties?
  13. Okay, thanks. It should be in the mail in the next few days.
  14. Okay I've got 3 videos ready for the contest. If I burn them onto a DVD+R using Pinnacle Studio 8 you will be able to do what you need to with them right? Just making sure because I don't want to send you a DVD and then find out that my videos didn't get in because it didn't work right. Thanks.
  15. Desert Storm @ Castles n Coasters
  16. Alright I'll have to search around for some. Thanks.
  17. I had an idea for a documentary/ educational film about Disneyland yesterday. It will be called " Useless Facts About Disneyland That Will Get You Nowhere in Life Unless You are a Tour Guide There ". I think it would be a rather interesting project. Next time I go to DL (which is unknown at the time and probably won't be this year ) I'll film myself walking around the park and riding the rides while at the same time saying " Useless Facts About Disneyland That Will Get You Nowhere in Life Unless You are a Tour Guide There ". I need help coming up with Useless Facts about Disneyland. I'd like to make this video funny and I thought the people on this site could help me out. Thanks.
  18. How about a coaster that's half wooden half steel, and then to top it off part flat ride! I'n not sure how this would even work, but it would be pretty darn cool.
  19. Yeah it's more of an Arrow style track. I just think that kind of track is easier to draw than an Intamin track.
  20. Nothing better than a Dr. Pepper
  21. I think X is the scariest ride I've ever been on. I've ridden it twice and I still have no idea what happens on it! I remeber falling toward the ground and flipping around a whole bunch of times then I'm back in the station. But when you are going over the drop facing the ground that's the scariest/ best part, mainly because it's the only part I can remember.
  22. Hey everybody! In my art class at school we are studying an artist named Rene Magritte (the guy who painted the man with the floating apple in front of his face). But we had to do a picture similar to that artists style of art. So for my project I drew the picture below. I'm still not sure what I should call it. It'll be either Vertamin C or Invertamin C. Which of those names do you guys like better?
  23. I'm gonna be the first one to design and build the world's first stand-up floorless coaster!
  24. I hate the smell of cigarettes. Last time I was at SFMM while standing in line for Batman the guy in front of me pulled out a cigarette and started to smoke it. I didn't want to get out of line because I had been in line for almost 30 min. I wanted to tell the guy to please put it out but he looked like the gang banger type that would beat up kids like me if I told them what to do. Like said earlier I think smoking places are a good idea. But smokers should have more respect for the people around them that don't smoke.
  25. Have any of you heard about the plans for a Theme Park in west Phoenix called Magic City? It's supposed to open in 2007 and have a total of 5 roller coasters (two of them wooden), a super ride (whatever that is), 3 water rides, 4 dark rides, and 34 other rides and attractions. I find this really interesting mainly because I live in Phoenix. The only park we have here is Castles~n~Coasters which is(as Robb put it in his review) a ghetto park. I'd like to know a bit more about Magic City because their website is rather vague.
