Alright! So RMC colossus confirmed! I know it was obvious for years now but those links are the first official piece of confirmation from six flags. I'm happy. And if the original guy with the "sources" is right, then itll be the longest RMC. Good luck filling that with inversions only, it sounds like an airtime machine!!!! Don't kill my hype Rob! I'm so excited!

They better give us something dam good after losing colossus. Just call it Mega Colossus and I'll accept whatever it is. Edit- in all honesty though my hopes are that ride is a gigantic bowl like structure with a mix of airtime hills and a variety of inversions. Like zero g rolls along the outside and maybe a vertical loop on the inside and have it all littered with hills twists and crazy elements. It would be an amazing spectacle from the parking lot.

Twisted colossus sounds like what we should be getting. A wooden coaster with a heavy focus on inversions rather than airtime. Although it's RMC! Maybe they'll sneak in some airtime for us. Also, twisted colossus doesn't have the same ring to it as Iron Colossus. It almost sounds insulting to the ride and people who loved it. It's "twisted" now -_-

Most Overrated coaster?
iloveblueberries replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I want to say that X2 at Magic Mountain is the most overrated roller coaster...but then I don't. The reason I want to say that it is overrated is because it's just so short and they didn't get as creative with the design like they did in future 4D coasters. Buuuuut then again the ride is just such a great experience. Every second of that ride is an unforgettable moment that no other coaster can match. For example, after you've ridden, say, Nitro a couple times and you're going up that lift hill again...you're kinda just like "oookay come on lets do this..get to the top!" whereas on X2 the experience you get is always something engaging. Even just the wait for the ride to start is fun. I feel like that is what makes the ride such a favorite among the GP. All those intangibles that other rides just don't have. The intense raven turns, the music (sometimes), the fire, staring into the sky knowing you're about to plummet straight down, catching a breather on that turn...but if I were to be really critical I'd say the ride itself doesn't match up to the fun of Tatsu, which is a ride that feels much more complete and well paced. -
This might be a bit off topic but when I went on the Texas Giant recently they said my girlfriend couldn't get on because her clothes were too thick. I was a little confused it was a very thin jacket although we suspect they meant she was too large to ride. Is it likely similar rules will be enforced on Iron Colossus? I want her to experience the fun of a RMC!!
