  1. ^ wow looks like they really want this ride ready before July!
  2. I have a feeling that, even 2 years after the ride opens, there will still be people (mostly GP) claiming it is two sperate rides. Even after they ride it.
  3. -Dark ominous cloudy background -Green and Blue colored track on white supports -Gentle easy listening music -SteamPunk theme -Back alley? what?
  4. As cool as Wicked Cyclone looks, I gotta give it to Twisted Colossus. It just looks more fun. But we're talking about such great roller coasters that choosing a better one of the two is just nitpicking.
  5. I counted the third time I watched it, minus the pre lift bumps. If you're in the back seat, you get 20 moments of airtime. If you are in the front, you get 18-20. Of course we won't know for sure until we ride it. But most of our time will be spent flying above our seat. Be content!
  6. I'm so glad they finally decided to go for quality over quantity in their coasters. No "250 foot 97 degree drop WA HOOAAAAH (into a mid course brake run) just pure fun. Double high five, racing, airtime, smoothness, new inversions, long ride time, and (possibly) good capacity with quick dispatches making everyones day at the park much better.
  7. You need to get your eyes checked. Or maybe you're just a moron.
  8. Now if magic mountain can devote a month to improving ride operations and the theming/quality of the park, then they're easily the best amusement park on the west coast. Repainting all the sun bleached rides will be a good place to start.
  9. It's pretty impressive what they were able to pull off with a smaller drop! Keeping that allure of riding Goliath intact. Smart move!
  10. I have a feeling RMC and Six Flags took into account that there will be a ton of jerks that want to throw something at the other train and designed the ride to work around that. Hopefully they keep the trains dueling as much as possible! That high five element better not leave me hanging!!!!!! So pumped!!
  11. Go to sleep, guys. You have a long week ahead of you.
  12. Rubber burns pretty well. Tomorrow's announcement is gonna be one helluva bonfire. I'll bring the blueberries.
  13. Here's my final prediction! -Single track! -160'-179' tall -inversion at the top of the lift hill before a straight plummet down. -longest hybrid coaster (not wooden, but sfmm might just say wooden) -Twisted Colossus, reveal trailer all dark and gloomy, TV ads all bright and happy and WA- HOAH! Lets see who's prediction is closest!!
  14. It would be sooo cool if Twisted Colossus is a 200 footer!!!!! So so cool! But Goliath does need it's record :/ Whatever it's all good! 179 feet is good enough!
  15. When are they gonna remove Scream? nobody likes that ride.
  16. If you want flat rides go to Knott's. The drop of doom is enough for me at a park I go to for roller coasters.
  17. I remember when this thread was 4 years old. Weirdest thing I've heard was a friend way back said the new Revenge of the Mummy ride at US:H went 2000 feet deep underground and went backwards at 500 miles an hour
  18. You guys can't seriously read "the trains may actually roll you over upside-down before taking a damn near vertical drop, where they will continue to twist and roll you around 180ยบ to face forward once again before pulling out." and immediately think it's going to be a Scream/Riddler/Batman/Viper drop? This is RMC we're talking about. Look at Medusa!
  19. ^^I think you misunderstood what was posted. A twisting vertical drop.
  20. ^how is that disappointing? It's unique! It's intimidating. It'll attract a crowd that's looking for something new and interesting!
