  1. I must say, I had pretty low hopes going into this considering how atrocious Wonder Mountain's Guardian is, but this is like the complete opposite. The graphics while not the best, look considerably better than WMG and the ride vehicles actually appear to be motion based rather than the cars on WMG. This you seem to be almost fully immersed in the world they created, just wish there was a bit more story but it's pretty good. It was a great step in the right direction, I think that by the next few they install in the Cedar Fair parks, they should be pretty solid.
  2. I'm a bit of a dark ride junkie so I really hope this ride is good!! I'm sick of waiting to see the inside of this thing! That's the bad part about being a dark ride fan!
  3. Honestly I would love for this to be a Chance Morgan Hyper but I doubt it, but Lightning Run looks incredibly fun though! I'm hoping for anything but a B&M(unless it's a launch which would be awesome!) They announced that on May 27th they'll be sharing more details on the coaster.
  4. Am I the only one that isn't crazy about the exterior of this ride? I think the combination of colors does not mesh well with the murals and it really doesn't represent the ride well. I guess it's a clean look though and fits the area.
  5. My idea comes in 2 phases: Phase 1 includes removing Kid Zone and E.T. -Put a theater that looks like Bowser's Castle in the current area occupying George George, the theater will play a 4D show for the family with Mario. I think a possible plot or this show would be something along the lines of: "Mario and his pals are hosting a show and they could possibly parody game shows or something and Bowser obviously would have a hand in this. What could be awesome is if they have some sort of Bowser animatronic. - Retheme Woody Woodpeckers to a Yoshi themed coaster. - Replace playgrounds with Pokemon themed flat rides. - Remove E.T. completely and replace with an indoor/outdoor family minecart roller coaster. The ride is themed to Donkey Kong and will have an impressive exterior and feature top quality animations and combine screen technology for inside cave sequences. (e-ticket attraction) Phase 2 included removing Animal Actors and Barney - Replace Animal Actors with a Legend of Zelda attraction, this one is sorta tricky because I don't really think many types of attractions lend themselves well to LoZ. So I think either a Falcon's Treehouse Spheron theater or a Dynamic Attractions Suspended Theater. [youtu_be]https://youtu.be/uT2-TsF50Hk[/youtu_be][youtu_be] [/youtu_be]- Replace Barney with the second e-ticket attraction of Nintendo Land, Luigi's Ghost Mansion which is the worlds first 3D trackless-motion shooting dark ride, which will mix physical and simulated sets. Now this probably isn't very realistic, but it mostly depends on how much Uni feels Nintendo is worth representing. I'll explain my choices for e-ticket attractions, I think generally Donkey Kong and Luigi's Ghost Mansion attractions are great for all ages and aren't viewed as kiddy. Pokemon and Yoshi I find are viewed on a younger scale so that's why they are represented the way they are. Mario suits itself well to a 4D show.
  6. The Incredible Hulk could be rethemed to "The Incredible Shulk".
  7. Replace Men in Black with a Luigi's Ghost Mansion ride? If anyone were to make Nintendo rides, it was Universal who I wanted to do it the most. Love Nintendo and Universal, better be a Roost Cafe!
  8. Mostly what it comes down to is something that can remain marketable, yeah it's great that SeaWorld will have the tallest coaster in Orlando, but as we can see it can easily be broken and might be next year by the SkyPlex(which I dont think will happen but is a completely different beast), so yeah I think besides being the tallest coaster in Orlando, it's gotta have some over marketing factors besides that for longevity purposes. Maybe that doesn't even matter at all but that's just how I view it. I doubt that the GP would really know or care about much of the differences between a B&M Hyper and say, the Incredible Hulk so something like Skyrush could stand on it's own.
  9. I don't see how a B&M wouldn't be as marketable as an Intamin? As long as you have a creative marketing team you can promote anything well. Look at the insane things Merlins marketing team keep coming up with for attractions. The fast lift hill is definately somethin the GP public would eat up, the whole name for Skyrush is based around that whole idea. Also the winged seats give a much unique feel than anything a B&M hyper could give, especially if this coaster is residing next to the lake. Either way I'm fine with anything, that's just how I feel. I really could see either choice fitting though.
  10. I hope this new coaster is a new leaf for SeaWorld, I really wish they would go back to the mid-2000's with their whole "Touch a world" and "worlds connect" advertisements. This new coaster will hopefully push back a lot of negative press for the company. I also hope they drop the whole Blackfish defense commercials and just go back to making commercials like these: [youtu_be] [/youtu_be][youtu_be] [/youtu_be] This was when SeaWorld was at it's best in my opinion, so I hope in addition to this coaster, the next Shamu show goes back to something like Believe which message was to inspire. As for the coaster itself, I feel like a B&M Hyper is just too safe. Something like Skyrush would be so marketable especially since this is clearly shark themed.
  11. I don't think there are very many coasters 200ft tall that were under $20 million That may be so but it's still too early to assume that the addition of this coaster means the park can't also add the blue world exhibit. And to add, SeaWorld would look awful if they cancel plans to build the whales a bigger habitat then go on to build a roller coaster. That's just fuel for the animal rights extremists to go after them. They'll say "SeaWorld is more about entertainment for the guests than it is about the welfare of the animals."
  12. They do have Shamu Express, unless you're talking about something like Cheetah Hunt. Ideally, I think something like Cheetah Hunt with a shark theme could have been cool flying over a lagoon filled with sand sharks or something would have been pretty awesome. I personally think this is gonna be a Intamin wing coaster, the whole idea of it is very marketable, especially the lift hill since it's so fast. I see the marketing approach for this coaster as very similar to Falcon's Fury, for example see . I just pray, that they still keep in mind the same ideals of Manta which including great theming and an aquarium. I think SeaWorld has lots of areas that are in despair and one of them is the shark encounter, updating it like the new sea life aquarium with a full 360 tunnel in addition with the Blue World Project will put SeaWorld back on the map. As they can create as many coasters as they want but I think SeaWorld kinda lost vision of their amazing marine life habitats and let some of them grow too outdated. The next 5 years will be very important for SeaWorld.
  13. I think it could be like a longer version of Skyrush. Whatever it is, I just hope that this is heavily themed and not like Kraken which is basically over an outer road to the park. Since this is probably a shark themed coaster and coupled with Sea Life in Orlando just opening, it's time the Shark Encounter gets a renovation since that aquarium makes the Shark Encounter at SW look very dated. There is also a picture circling from floridatripguides.com, not sure if it is accurate but doe seem like a potential placement for the coaster that wouldn't involve much demo.
  14. Fury 325 and not just because it's new, it has a nice clean look. Cheetah hunt also has a nice color scheme.
  15. Can't forget about SeaWorld Parks. Manta is one of the prettiest coasters, imo! On-topic. This coaster is actually turning out just as the concept art was drawn, it's quite remarkable. The attention to detail on this coaster is more than I've ever seen. Wow!
  16. I think the lighting is really going to play an important role due to their being many real scenery pieces. There are far fewer screens than Spiderman and Transformers so this will be interesting. I really hope that this ride is good, I'd love to see them put one in Great Adventure!
  17. I agree SWT easily has the most potential for growth out of all the parks due to it's size. Their wording on this "Discovery Point" is very confusing though, is this a completely new complex for Belugas, dolphins and Sea Lions or is this just a rebranding of an existing program. Yes, I know they're building a new dolphin lagoon but is that included for belugas as well?
  18. And here is the trailer: http://store.steampowered.com/app/282560/ So basically all hopes for this games have just been crushed by this trailer because this game looks like a steaming pile of dog doodoo. Back to RCT3 and having hope for other games like TPS and Frontier's new tycoon game.
  19. Could it be possible that this ride is similar to Verbolten(obviously made by Mack though) in that it has an indoor section themed to Egypt? I wouldn't mind that. I guess I'm a bit optimistic but I hope this isn't just a spinning coaster.
  20. I'm a bit conflicted still, I feel like this is still just RCT3 with better graphics. I really don't feel they're showing us much revolution of the franchise so far. Out of the thousands of ideas thrown out there by fans, you would think some would come fruition. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
  21. While the animatronic does look really good, I'm still very skeptical, just because I feel as if they kinda used a lot of inspiration from the other Justice League dark ride in Austrailia. That dark ride just doesn't do it for me. Considering there is only 5 screens and only a whopping 2 animatronics, I'm curious to see how long this ride will be. The animatronics look absolutely amazing though and Sally has definitely stepped it up. I should also say, the ride vehicles are probably one of the best things behind the animatronics so far. At this point, it could go one way or another for me. Most of the stuff I'm concerned about we've not seen yet. ie. animation, set pieces, layout
  22. Ihu's Breakaway Fall's is pretty scary, but it's a really fun slide. I think it's the whole capsule idea with the heart beating sound they play once your in the box.
  23. OrlandoUnited reports a new attraction for the 2016 season in the location of Tut's Tomb. I seriously doubt that this is the SM:UF clone similar to the one going in BGW simply because BGT has a far to big attendance to put in a coaster of that capacity size. There is a little bit of space for them to expand the building up to the safari. Since BGT is in a severe lack of any dark rides, hows about a Kurse of DarkKastle-esque mummy themed dark ride?
  24. Apparently a new resturant will be opening apparently by the end of the year. I'd say that this really messes up a lot of our theories that they will fill in that small segment of the lake.
  25. Cetacean-captivity on Tumblr made a diagram of a potential new stadium complex for SWO. I personally think this would be awesome. Clearly by the image this would be a huge job because not only would they have to build it, but completely drain and fill in the one side of the lake. The plus is, this gives them way more land to use and would finally get rid of that long awkward boardwalk-bridge to get to the one side of the park. It would also definitely help balance the park out a lot. Obviously the dolphins would take over the current Shamu stadium, a full blown Blue Horizons set would be amazing in that stadium. So they could demolish the current dolphin stadium, or even use it for something else but I don't think the sea lions need that much water since most of their behaviors are on land. Maybe a new coaster? A second chance at a dark ride? Expansion of the dolphin cove? It's so much fun to imagine stuff like this, especially since this probably won't happen. There is hope though! They did say that the Blue World project at Orlando was a new addition.
