^ Me too. I'm especially curious about how "easy" the new coaster construction is going to be. I mean, it sounds awesome and innovative, but that doesn't mean it's easy. I hope they show a video telling and showing us how the new coaster construction will work... Maybe even videos explaining the themes, rides, and other things the game has to offer. We'll see though. Very excited that Pipeworks is going to show some stuff off soon. Hopefully "soon" means sometime this week. Also, they had this to say on facebook as well: "To answer your question about a Mac version... It will eventually be available but for now the team is focused on the windows version. Stand by for more info..." So now we know there will be a Mac version of the game at one point.

I said "a bit". I made it clear I wouldn't want it ultra realistic. And some games actually DO mature for the people who grew up with it. Spyro and Rayman are both good examples of that, and their newer games sold very well. I don't want to seem like I'm judging RCTW too harshly. I mean, the game is still in development, and things might change. But whether or not any changes happen, from what I've seen, I'm interested, but not too impressed.

I just got to say: 2015 is going to be an AWESOME year for animated movies! TWO Pixar films, and hardly any sequels! So excited!

I make animations and random videos on youtube... I do the character voices for my animations as well.. Here's the last animation I made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZLfZMZFx9s

I hate Activi$ion. It is a greedy stupid company that kills game franchises for NO REASON. They ruined two of my favorite game franchises: Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. Spyro is lost to stupid skylanders games, and Crash has been dead for 6 years. I hope their company goes bankrupt and they lose EVERYTHING... Especially the rights to Crash and Spyro.

RCT already did the cartoony stuff in the previous games... (RCT3D and RCT4M being the worst and the cartooniest yet). Those games still exist, and can be purchased for those who long for a cartoony RCT. I personally think it's time for RCT mature a bit. Making a game more realistic doesn't mean it will be complicated and drive people away from it. Did you read the way coaster construction will work in RCTW in that article? For all we know, it can be really complicated, but it's all about trying new things. That's what I want PipeWorks to do with RCTW: Try NEW things that haven't been done before with RCT, and realism is one of those things. I'm not saying to go for total realism, but at the same time, not make the game look silly. Many people who are interested in RCTW are long-time fans who are older now. PipeWorks needs to keep that in mind. And for the record: RCT out-sells No Limits because RCT is a well-known established brand that started the theme park simulation game experience on the PC.

"Ultra realistic"? Nah. But I did expect a bit more realism in some parts. While RCT3 had some cartoony food stalls, they just looked cartoony without going overboard so to speak. The only buildings that had sounds coming from them were attractions like the Space Arcade, Circus, or Wild West Show. Which makes sense being that they're attractions. It was the same in RCT1 and 2 as well. I can ignore the cartoony-ness I see in this game so far.

I know it's not unusual for the sounds to come from certain rides, but shops and restaurants shouldn't needs sounds to attract costumers or whatever they're going for here, let lone the knife chopping action on top of the building. I just think it makes the game stray away from the realism a lot of fans have been waiting for and are expecting from this game. Pipeworks still has time to change stuff, but ultimately it is their game.

Some interesting information in this article: http://www.gizorama.com/2014/computer/pc/pax-2014-atari-comes-out-swinging "There are large plots connected by a giant monorail so you can build a park by yourself, or you could enter co-op mode to work together to build the best park that you can." I guess the four plots of land are going to be there regardless if you're playing online or offline. Booooo. "If you are visiting a park and you see a coaster that someone has built that you absolutely love, you can click to download a blueprint of that coaster so you can build it back at your own park. Don’t worry if you don’t have enough money for all the parts: that blueprint will stay in your inventory as long as you want it to." I hope they're no talking REAL money here... "Each ride and shop has sounds and animations unique to them. For example, the sushi shop has a giant chef’s knife cutting a slab of tuna on the roof and it makes a slicing noise when it does." Ummm... Why? That's just silly. Anyway, the game is still in its "pre-alpha" stages. Maybe they'll rethink a few things here and there. I'm still very much interested in this game.

Official RCT3 Help Thread

I have an issue with RCT3: Whenever I click a piece of scenery or food stall, the game freezes for exactly one minute, and then it will bring up the window at the bottom right corner so I can edit or delete the object and stuff. Is there a reason why the game does this? This problem started after I added custom scenery and used the command prompt to allow images from "my pictures" in the game. It's really annoying and ruins the playing experience. Is there any way to fix this problem? -
@prozach626 Yes, they are. That's the case with many reboots, prequels, and sequels. Same goes for movies as well. Kids aren't going to buy this stuff; their parents are. Plus I don't think kids of this generation even care about theme park simulator games, and it's not like the old RCT games are extinct. If they made a more realistic and advanced RCT, the kids of today (if they cared to be interested) could revisit the RCT games of yesteryear which undoubtedly surpass the crap Atari tried to shove at them in 2012 and this year.

I'm not bothered by the different themes. I just hope they have as many as RCT3, and much more content for each theme (rides, stalls, and decor). But I do understand what you guys mean. And sometimes these different themes might include funky rides that aren't real. I would love to see real rides from real parks in RCTW, and then we can theme them as we please or if necessary (I think someone mentioned that in a previous post). I hope Pipeworks realizes that they're catering to a fan base of older people who grew up playing RCT, and they shouldn't have to "dumb it down" so that it appeals to this generation of gamers. They shouldn't be afraid to make the game more advanced and realistic. So far it looks more like a polished version of RCT3, which I don't mind, but I was expecting more realism. I know it's still to early to be certain, but I must ask you all: So far, from what you've seen, do you think Pipeworks catering to what the fans really want?
