  1. ^ Where to begin 1. Better operations (No 7 min dispatches, or 1 train operations) 2. Better customer service (Friendly and helpful staff, and staff that is not on cell phones) 3. Better up keep of the park (Paint rides that need painting, remove or restore abandon rides) 4. Higher Priced season passes (no buy a day get a year free) 5. Enforce park rules ( remove line jumpers, smokers or disrespectful people) 6. Put grass under Scream!!!! The park has improved in the up keep of the park, but operations and customer service still need a lot of work.
  2. If you guys did not know SFMM GM, Del Holland has retired and the GM of SFKK, Jay Thomas has replaced him. From what I have read, Jay Thomas is credited for turning SFKK around.
  3. ^ Well put. Compared to other hypers I have been on (not many) Goliath is just boring. I would take Apollos Chariot over it any day.
  4. If they did tamper with the restraint, I think they should go to jail and be banned for life from all the Anheuser parks. What happens if the restraint opened on the ride and some one got hurt or killed.
  5. I first rode in 2000, it beat the crap out of me. But I think a lot of the roughness came from the trains(they were just too heavy), its a shame that Six Flags did not put a pair of PTC's on the ride. Lighter, more comfortable trains could of made this ride one of the most popular rides in the park.
  6. ^^But Cedar Point has something for every one (tons of family flat rides) thats something that Magic Mountain dose not have. Magic Mountain is a thrill park, but the new focus for a while will most likely be family's, not thrills. Thrills became a sin when they attracted disrespectful teens that did not spend money in the park, and repelled family's that did spend money. Family's is where the money is, not teens.
  7. They would have a good wood coaster if they refurbished Colossus. They don't need another thrill attraction for a while, they are try to get the word out that they are a family park, not a thrill park.
  8. I guess this means even more money for Knotts Scary Farm. Tony Hawks Big Spin would be great for Magic Mountain. They need something that will attract family's.
  9. It could be an enclosed version of this. Photo From http://www.mountaingetaway.com
  10. EDIT Sorry I offended so many people, wasn't trying to. Sorry.
  11. ^Sorry, I find that hard to believe that Cedar Fair would sign something like that. Its like saying you can buy a house, yet you can not change the interior. The reason those rides have not been removed is because they are still EXTREMELY popular and a guest favorite.
  12. ^^ The Log Ride is closed because of a roof collapse. From my understanding the Knotts family was in major financial debt and the park was not pulling in enough people in the 90's. If it wasn't for Cedar Fair Knotts would most likely be a housing or shopping outlets.
  13. My Bandwidth has exceeded for the month. Sept 6th the pics will be back. ^ Its kinda hard to host that many pics on this site since you have to resize.
  14. ^ In SFMM newest commercial, some guy says that he is glad that the place is not closing down. So in a way they are trying to get the word out that SFMM is not closing.
  15. ^Ejector air Front Car of Shock wave the transition into the double helix. Hurler first bunny hop. XLC First hill and bunny hop although the restraints really restrict you form coming out of your seat. Mr. Six Posted I will get into that when I finish the TR. Kings Dominion Had some very weird attraction placements and most of the park felt like a glorified carnival. And coming from Busch Gardens a few days before, really set my expectations very high. Because this park is very rarely shown on this and other sites, didn't give me a great Idea of what this park was going to be like. International street is VERY nice and really gives you the impression that the whole park is going to be the same. I did enjoy my day. **My Photo-bucket Bandwidth has exceeded, please check back later to see pictures, sorry.**
  16. I think the drop would be better if it had a pre drop like on Apollo. But 85 Degrees and clam shell restraints should provide one of the best drops ever on a roller coaster.
  17. No, but some one threw up at the exit of Boomerang when I got off.
  18. ^No, I got to the park at 1pm and stayed until closing. Got to see a roll back on Xcelerator.
  19. I was there yesterday too. ^ I agree that running one train on a day that was VERY empty was a good move. Personally I was surprised that they had two train operations on all the coasters.
  20. I will get into that when I finish the TR. ^^^ The crowds were not bad at all, the line looks huge because you go through the turn stiles first and then you go through the bag check and metal detectors second. ^Operations were OK. They were running multiple trains on every thing except their wood coasters. Thanks for every one who has commented, I am still not done with the TR.
  21. Looks VERY COOL. I wonder how they are going incorporate the seatbelt into the train. I believe that this will be the first B&M hyper coaster to have seatbelt.
  22. fter the Haunted Mansion, I made my way to Grizzly. On the Way I decided to go up in the Eiffel Tower. Here are some areal shots of Kings Dominion. **I WILL FINNISH THE TR LATER**
  23. After a Fun ride on Avalanche I decided to go to the Kids area of the park. Kings Dominion has a great Kids area. To put it simply its HUGE. Also Kings Dominion has the best kid coaster I have been on. Scooby Doo Ghoster Coaster. What a fun little ride, smooth and had little pops of air. When I rode the Ghoster Coaster, some lady asked if I would ride with her kid. I said yes only If I could ride with her kid on the Taxi Jam roller coaster. After Taxi Jam, I when to the Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion. It was fun, Knotts should get one of these.
  24. After 3 great rides on Flight Of Fear, I went to Italian Job Turbo Coaster. Italian Job, really caught me off guard on how intense this ride is. The triple helix at the start rivals Goliaths helix at SFMM. The special effects were on and were pretty cool. Overall the ride is fun and is a great family coaster. !!WARNING COASTER PORN!! After a fun ride on Italian Job, I made my way over to Avalanche. Avalanche is a fun family ride and more intense that Disaster Transport. Fun ride.
  25. After a fun ride on Drop Zone, I headed to Anaconda. After Anaconda I headed to Fight OF Fear. Fight Of Fear, in my opinion is the best ride in the park. The theming was great and the ride was awesome. After riding I can see why they got rid of the OTSR. Also I have never seen so many people get turned away from a ride because the could not fit. Personally I LOVE Arrow Coaster, this one was no different. It had a great tunnel and good speed through the first half of the ride. The only part of the ride I found very rough is the transition between the downwards turn and the upwards turn. Also this Anaconda takes its corkscrews at the same speed as Viper, and unlike Viper Anacondas corckescrews are placed over water. Great Ride!
