  1. If they end up not getting an RMC I'll make sure I bring up this quote so everyone gets mad at you because you jinxed it.
  2. Cedar Point should start harvesting mayflies and sell them as those novelty dried bug snacks. think about how much revenue they could bring in.
  3. New for 2017 Flying Falconhawk The newest attraction at Dorney Park will send you tens of feet in the air, coming within meters of other riders. Since Flying Condorhawk came from Hersheypark, Steel Force is now essentially Skyrush. We still have nothing against Knoebels, but come here anyways!
  4. It's both at Lakemont Park and a Toboggan roller coaster. Two negatives making a positive? It could be worse:there's a Chinese version of the Toboggan with a loop that's been called things like "The Toboggan Of Death" ! If it's that bad it will put you in the hospital. There are some benefits to that, as I did some research and found no hospitals within Lakemont Park. No, but if I remember correctly from visiting last year there is a attorney's office out front. You'll need the hospital first, and I'm sure there are many more attorney offices scattered around the state. None of this would be necessary if you went to Knoebels.
  5. With all of the revenue from the last 10 years the most exciting thing they could add is the world's first dueling wacky worm without the second track. They could lie announce that the park will close and have people in the tens come to the park and get enough money to buy another game for their arcade. Delgrosso's is growing steadily. In the time between my first and second visit, they've added a very good flat ride and a huge water park expansion. I see more flat rides coming to the park, but probably not a decent sized roller coaster, even for next year (the park's 110th anniversary.)
  6. An RMC log flume would be pretty interesting. Zero G Stall with nothing but side bars to hold onto. Wait safety is a necessity for Dorney to keep running. Wait its Dorney
  7. Lakemont Park would say hi but nobody's there to do it.
  8. Let me tell you a tale of a magical land called Elysburg, PA...
  9. My sentiments exactly. Maybe the middle tower was meant for people who are smart and know how to avoid long waits.
  10. Totally new, no question. I don't even care what the ride is, Hurler's layout doesn't lend itself to a conversion at all. Time after time enthusiasts declare with great authority that a layout doesn't lend itself to an RMC conversion (does Colossus ring a bell? What about Twisted Twins?) and time after time they're wrong. I'll take the RMC conversion. Twisted Twins had an actual layout. Twisted Colossus' layout is the most uninspired thing I've seen RMC put out (well, tied with Goliath) so I don't really see that as evidence that Colossus lent itself well to a conversion - the saving grace of that ride is that it duels (sometimes), which clearly Hurler doesn't and won't be doing. Hurler is five airtime hills and three completely flat turns. Short of building entirely new structures, it will remain that way but with some funky banking and a barrel roll or two. And if you're going to have to make every hill and turn taller anyway, why bother? Colossus had its height going for it, at least. Hurler barely leaves what, 30 feet off the ground after the first turn? Is something preventing RMC from building more to the structure of Hurler while doing their thing to it at the same time? Iron Rattler doesn't do any funky barrel rolling through a 900 degree helix because the helix went the way of my happiness at Lakemont Park.
  11. For me, it seems like S&S tower rides get more intense the smaller they get. The double shot at Playland's Castaway Cove is 85 feet and has a lot of airtime, while Power Tower at Cedar Point is much taller but shoots you up and then floats down.
  12. But if the two are connected that will mean KD's coaster count goes down

I feel the title should be included too, "Photo TR: A good park and Lakemont Park" I'll make sure I go to more less than decent parks so I can make more trip reports
  14. I don't get it. Dorney Park is almost as old as Cedar Point. Do you know how many anniversaries they've had?
  15. Well it looks like Cedar Point stole Kings Dominion's old woodie removal. Maybe next year
  16. Anything? So if they would theoretically relocate the entirety of Lakemont Park where Mean Streak would be, you would take it over a GCI refurbishment? The answer is no. I also want to point out how nobody here is complaining about Cedar Point's amount of roller coasters going down.
  17. NO please I think I would need a chiropractor by the end of the season between this, ST and Thunderhawk... Not if you lean forwards in the front seat.
  18. Maybe it's just the trains getting the axe, and Mean Streak will have new trains with wheel seats blocked off and the front seat tilted forwards.
  19. It's both at Lakemont Park and a Toboggan roller coaster. Two negatives making a positive? 20. I think the trains will just be modified so there are no wheel seats and the front seat is tilted because it's clear none of y'all listen to coasterbill. removing the trims can't hurt either
  21. I think he'd just stop leaning forwards.
  22. ^ Wants to ride Cuda Falls without VR < Apparently the cause of the thread dying V Rides rough rides for the fun of it
  23. Nah I think they just felt like sending people to lower quality hotels.
  24. How long did it take last year to fix the water main?
  25. Too much for Carowinds by itself, perhaps. Cedar Fair parks seem to have a simple way of working it out if a park isn't satisfied with what they have. Just steal another park's additions. Those 4 extra flats were probably headed for parks that deserve more rides or have an anniversary coming up
