  1. According to Scott Voyles they expect to be able to fully construct in 2 months.
  2. A resort will be a nice upgrade over that dump across the streeet we stayed in with bed bugs and damp carpet
  3. Incorrect. For example, the "airtime down raven" shown in the profile view is a late-twisting Dive loop, just like on Wonder Woman. It's not what's shown in the 3D animation. Not too mention the lack of an "overbank cutback" or "180-stall" in the 3D rendering too. The 3D rendering is completely different than the two 2D renderings shown (referred to as "Double Out" and "Triple Out"). Wonder Woman is also different than anything previously shown, although mostly similar to the triple out 2D model. Okay you're right about the 3D rendering being different than the double out blueprint my bad. But Wonder Woman matches element for element on the triple out blueprint, the height is the only thing that doesnt match.
  4. This is the double out model No, this is It's the same model, just a 3D rendering. All the elements match up if you watch the video
  5. There's a completely different version of the ride called the "double out" which RMC debuted at IAAPA in 2015. Hopefully CGA gets that version
  6. I'd imagine the Raptor is cheaper construct since RMC manufactures the track, trains, and builds the ride themselves. While $&S outsources for tracks, supports, and I believe trains as well. Though the cost to Six Flags probably depends on the profit margins of the manufacturer, which none of us will probably ever know lol.
  7. Zelda Breath of the Wild is absolutely amazing, it's literally the breath (no pun) of fresh air the series needed. Started to get a little stagnant around Twilight Princess.
  8. So I'm assuming the SFFT version of the ride is the "triple out" layout based on this blueprint leaked a couple years ago. Some things are slightly different like the height of the ride, but everything else seems to match up So can't help but wonder IF there is a 2nd raptor planned for let's say a Cedar Fair park, if it'll be the other version (double out). This version has the more airtime-ish layout and is the one RMC premiered in a video at IAAPA in 2015. Also wondering if each park chain will continue to clone these respective layouts or will they mix and match based on plots of land available or budget (the triple out is 200ft shorter so I'm assuming slightly cheaper, of course Six Flags would pick the cheaper one )
  9. People already complaining and the dern thing aint even built yet
  10. My favorite flat of all time, what I wouldnt give to have the restraints crush my thighs once more
  11. Not a fan of the track color either, but it might be because I hate yellow. The trains are sexy though
  12. I cant help but wonder if CGA is getting a Raptor also and Six Flags jumped the gun (almost a month prior to their usual announcement date) to steal their thunder
  13. Six Flags has done a pretty good job keeping the 2018 additions under wraps. Usually something would've leaked by now.
  14. SFMM never does teasers for some reason, I guess the PR dept is like "f* that, theyll get what we give em and thats it" I can see the park adding a Giant Discovery, not sure where in the park though. Maybe in the back by Apocalypse, though I'd love to see it somewhere in DC so it can be themed to a superhero/villain.
  15. I may be in the minority here, but I personally hope Six Flags never converts Riddler or Scorcher. They are fantastic rides as they are, and IMO Rougarou isn't much better than Mantis was and now is just a mediocre sitdown. Stand ups are a dying breed, Riddler and Scorcher were the best of the bunch IMO
  16. That's been the pattern as of late with Six Flags, I hope it's a totally different color.
  17. I was hoping more for one of those Intamin stand-ups
  18. The one at SFOT ALWAYS has a full queue. Its a great ride. Lots of speed, airtime, and height. And that lighting package
  19. Runaway Mountain was the surprise of our Texas trip, great little indoor coaster.
