  1. Last year while waiting for Toro (next to board) it was announced the the train we would've gotten on was the "lucky train" and if they screamed loud enough they would let them go again. And they did those lucky bastards.
  2. Well I certainly won't be getting up early for this but it will be nice to check it out over coffee when I do roll out of bed. This time last year it was more or less confirmed that the Looping Diablo was coming, I love that we really have no sure idea this year!
  3. ^ Same thoughts on all points. Less than 24 hours to go, I'm kind of excited! Freespin or not, as long as it's a coaster or big addition I'll be happy as it will make the lines for Toro and Nitro shorter (hopefully). They normally do these announcements early as hell don't they?
  4. This. The ride easily has the most airtime in the park, but it's a rough ride. Sit in 1:2 and you'll get some unexpected pops of ejector airtime. And when I say ejector, I mean ejector. Definitely much better in the front, not nearly as rough and some really nice pops, but the back of Thunderhawk is a forty-five second long car wreck. Speaking of Dorney airtime, if I'm not totally stapled into the front row of Talon (which is unfortunately often because of the OTSRs+my size) I get a really nice pop coming up into the break run.
  5. Are you guys talking about this? Maybe SFGAdv can get a two-ride deal with S&S and put one of these in BBNP
  6. Theme Park Maniacs posted some photos of the Fort Independence demo that was going on today. It's all coming down...
  7. ^^ Thank you, I love these FDTS documentaries, so well done.
  8. Goliath or Titan are much better than some of the other suggestions on that survey they sent out. I'm pretty sure I remember XRave and Raveolution LOL. At that point they might as well really go for the teen market and call it "Dubstep Coaster"
  9. I have also heard mumblings about "Goliath" or "Titan" as the name for the new addition, and I could totally see them going with either. Personally, I'd rather either of those names than something superhero related. Spinsanity is lamer than lame.
  10. Back on topic, Toro be straight stealing them weaves. Today:
  11. Everything at Morey's. My favorite "park" to be at after dark. Also, Hershey's woodies look fantastic at night.
  12. ^ Because people from the city are the only folks who commit crimes.
  13. It's not so much the ride for me. It's the location. Wasting the wonderful lakefront for a ride they could really make room for anywhere else, and then save lakefront for a flagship style ride. THIS
  14. While it's weird and kinda lame they aren't doing any teasing, at least there is some activity to geek out on. Great Adventure History posted a great trip report with a ton of nice demolition photos.
  15. Sorry, only 40 laps won't qualify you as a nerd. You better hurry to SFGA and ride some more laps It's pretty nerdy to count laps on rides imo but I really only count Toro and Nitro since I ride them so often.
  16. I have only been on 3 B&M hypers, but I would say Diamondback has pretty good airtime. Nitro has mediocre airtime and Raging Bull barely has any. Cedar Point's Blue Streak has more airtime than those coasters combined. Are you kidding me right now?!?! There isn't even a parallel universe in existence where Nitro's airtime could be described as "mediocre"! I'm one of the bigger fans of Blue Streak there is, and it in no way has as much airtime as Nitro alone! You Intamin fanboys are something else! I am a self proclaimed Intamin fan boy and I love Nitro so I must interject. Nitro has great airtime, but absolutely no ejector air anytime Ive ever ridden it and I'm up to almost 40 laps total (yes, nerd, I know). The best place to sit is the back row right side, as the yank over the two turned hills (right after the drop and right before the helix) offers some crazy awesome sustained floater airtime. I get air on all of the other large hills and the bunnyhills when I sit back there. I recently decided I like Nitro even more than Millennium Force (cue gasps), as the two are neck-and-neck in my rankings but I'm a bigger fan of airtime than height/speed and Nitro has a lot more airtime.
  17. Anyone know how often maintenance inspects the actual ride structures/supports/etc? I imagine the trains/brakes/wheels/etc are every morning but wouldn't a maintenance fellow pass the weaves at least once a week or so and at the very least throw them on the ground? I can't see how no employees notice these things. #weavegate2015
