  1. Hey there! Cool thing of you coming to Walibi World! What I would recommend you, is that when your starting point is Amsterdam, you have two options (assuming you'll go on Tuesday): 1. Take the 08.06 train to Amersfoort (platform 8b), transfer in Amersfoort to Harderwijk (platform 2). When you arive at Harderwijk, the Walibi World Express (bus) is probably waiting for you! With this option, you'll arive at Harderwijk at 09.11. The busride to the park takes about 20 minutes, and will cost you around € 6,- (or buy a combi-ticket from the driver, saves time waiting for the ticketboxes) 2. Take the 08.33 train to Lelystad Central Station (platform 11b), arival at 09.10 in Lelystad. Problem is, I don't know how long the bus will take to get to Walibi World... The park will be open from 10.00, and I would advise you, being on time. Enjoy the park, and be sure to head to the back of the park first, for Goliath! You might think the entrance is in the front, but it really is not! Head for the Space-Shot (you shouldn't be able to miss this landmark) and when you reach it, turn left. This is the path to Goliath (notice the trashcans). Have fun!
  2. I'm surprised nobody mentioned an inverted log-flume yet! Gentlemen, start your snorkels!!!
  3. Don't know which hotel for Walibi World you picked, but maybe, you'd like to camp out that night? There is a campground called 'Rivieracamping' down the road from Walibi World... Also, Walibi World used to have their own 'bungalow-park' (don't know if that's an English word). They now use it for the summer-workers, but maybe they're still offering overnight stays in those cottages next to the park! Who wouldn't want to sleep below a Vekoma boomie???
  4. Let's get a few misunderstandings out of the way... The Tiësto-show won't be at daytime. Tiësto will make his appearance at night, when Disneyland's normal operating day is long over. You also need to buy a special ticket for this event. So, no regular parkguests will be 'harmed' by this show . I, on the other hand, have made my reservations for a cool weekend at Disneyland Resort Paris!
  5. I'm gonna have home-cooked burgers in about 10 minutes!
  6. It's the same style of ride. Vekoma developped this ride (coaster including construction which encloses it) in the '80's. Opryland and Bobbejaanland purchased one. For Bobbejaanland it worked out fine, too bad Opryland went belly-up (or something...)
  7. You sure planned that well! The only date, according to your profile, you were able to ride S:RoS when you were 7 years old, was opening day. The day after, was your eighth birthday!
  8. Bobbejaanland shouldn't be too hard to navigate through Be sure not to miss out on Revolution (same coaster as Orpryland's Chaos, and yes, a smooth running Vekoma; they actually make those ) The whole park is situated around a big lake and the whole park can be done in less than one day (if crowds aren't too big). For more detailed information on the park's rides, you can always check www.bobbejaanland.be
  9. A motel-suggestion which might be helpful: http://www.hotelformule1.com/formule1/index.html Formule 1 motels are located almost everywhere throughout Europe (Except for Italy and The Netherlands) and are a cheap and ok way to spend the night! Usually a room will cost you some € 28,- and, depending on which country you are in, may be used by 2 or 3 persons, but since you'll be traveling with 4 people, you will need 2 rooms. The rooms don't have a shower or a toilet, these are located in the hallway, however, there is a sink in your room. You might want to check http://themepark.nl/php/tporganizer/ for a detailed scheme of parks around the world, and especially in Europe. This little database is filled with experiences from Themepark.nl members and features some handy tips. The downside to it, is that it is entirely in Dutch, but if you really are interested in some of these details, please let me know, so I can translate for you! A last piece of advise: Be sure to spend enough time in Mirabilandia! Katun is one of the greatest coasters I've ridden. Also be sure to check out their River Rapids ride. It's a realy nice cooldown on a hot day [edit] As for QUESTION 11: We did a similar trip once, and what I can remember, is that we had to wait for almost an hour for the Gotthard Tunnel which connects Switserland to Italy. I'm not sure what the reason of this holdup was, but it realy slowed us down! (by the way, we were traveling in a minibus then too Be sure to have airconditioning in your vehicle! It can get pretty hot in Italy! (South Germany to )) [edit 2] It's such a pity you decided to skip Efteling park in the Netherlands. I know that you guys didn't think too much of it during ECO, but why not give it another try... After all, it's probably one of the world's oldest 'modern style' amusement-parks! I agree, that the park doesn't feature the worlds best coasters, in fact they're almost all Vekoma-rides, but I think the park is beautiful to stroll through and features a great fairytale-wood! But hey, it's all up to you guys! [edit 3] More and more tips fall into my head Here's another one: Buy a Thrill pass at Walibi Belgium (former Six Flags Belgium). My experience is that when you order a pass, you can pick it up when you leave the park. This pass offers you free entry to the folowing parks: Walibi Belgium Walibi World Movie Park Germany Walibi Aquitaine Walibi Lorraine Walibi Rhone-Alpes Bellewaerde Park If I had to choose between Walibi Lorraine or another Walibi park, I would go for Walibi Lorraine. It has a funny wooden coaster, which has anti-rollback devices on the hills that should have provided airtime. In other words: It sucks as a coaster, but it's great fun riding it with friends!
  10. The first coaster I rode, probably was a transportable ride on a local funfair. I really can't remember exactly which coaster it was. The first coaster I rode that was in a park, probably was "Roller" in Télécoo Amusementpark in Belgium. I remember riding it over and over. At the time I was about 8 years old I guess. At that age I didn't have the courage to board on a looping-coaster. In fact, I rode my first looping coaster when I was about 17 years old. The name of this particular coaster is Tornado, and it's a real Vekoma Location of the coaster is Hellendoorn in the Netherlands.
  11. I'm Max, from the Netherlands, usually an active participant on www.themepark.nl. Since it is always nice to meet new people with cool interests () I decided to join the Themeparkreview-forum!
  12. I'm from the Netherlands, and I should probably call Drievliet my home-park since it's a twenty-minute drive away from where I live. On a broader scale, the former Six Flags Holland (renamed this season to Walibi World) is about an hour and a half away and Efteling is about 45 minutes away.
