NEVER!!! That Game was ridiculous, a lot of fun to watch but Notre Dame choked bad, I'd hate to be in their Sunday meetings..

I have done 16 rides in a row on opening day once. My partner and I will take you on (as he would be on it the entire ERT time anyway.) On the Deep South trip in 2009 I skipped the Mindbender part of ERT and rode Goliath 30 times in a row! Can't wait to ride it once again...the only B&M I find to be extremely good Yeah I think it's by far the best B&M hyper that I've been on (although I really like Apollo's Chariot). Mindbender was really good too but I don't remember as much about it from my only trip to SFOG for some reason, can't wait to change that.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Yeah they might have 5 Arrow Coasters but only 1 Arrow Suspended coaster and as far as I know there are only 4 other Arrow Suspended coasters in operation in the world. If the parts for the suspended coaster are different than all the other Arrow's and are specific to that model then it may not be an issue of saving money, it may be an issue of there are not parts available anywhere in the world, and when our parts inventory expires we can not operate. -

Didn't S&S keep the Arrow parts division open? As far as I know they did but with so few Arrow Suspended coasters in existence it might not be that beneficial for S&S to continue to supply those part if the parts are that different than other Arrow Coaster parts. In the business i work in our manufacturer has several models of equipment that are far less that 25 years old (and they produced a lot more than 5 or 6 units like the arrow suspended) that have parts that are completely obsolete so I can see this situation being realistic. I don't know if the 25 year number is true or not but I could see potential replacement parts being a legitimate reason for removing the attraction. -

So, you would remove a fantastic money-maker for the park? Smooth move, bub. So it's already a fantastic money maker before it has even opened? -
Yeah, it was a great ticket option and as far as I can remember it was offered on the Universal website last year, it might have been a Florida resident only option but I would have easily paid for it again this year. If anyone from Universal Orlando's ticket pricing department reads the TPR forums please bring back the early entry ticket option that I cant remember the name of and no one else thinks ever existed haha.

Yes, they are still available. www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/general_tickets.html Scroll down to Stay & Scream. The price differs depending on which day you are going. No, that's not it. last year I bought a ticket for like an extra $15 onto the price of the HHN Event ticket that allowed you to enter the Studios park at around 3 or 4 to ride everything that was open until the park closed at 5pm, then after the studios closed we were put into the holding area until they could flush the park and change everything over for the HHN event to start. It was a great value, we got to ride Rockit, Mummy, MIB, Jaws, and Simpsons a couple time before the Studios park closed, then got to hit Legendary Truth and the other sound stage houses between 5:50 and 6:30 before the gates for the event opened at 6:30. It was a great ticket add on, and I'm a little disappointed that it's not offered this year.

Yeah that should be a great game atmosphere to be at. I haven't seen too much press coverage of the game about the lights, are they temporary for this game only or is that a permanent thing for the future? As much as I hate Michigan it's good for college football when they are relevant and playing at the elite level that they once were, and I think Hoke was a great hire and will get them back to that level. While your there will you do me a favor and tell Denard Robinson to tie his shoes?

What game is everybody looking forward to this weekend? I'm curious to see how Miss. State @ Auburn plays out. The line is Miss State -7, but I don't like anyone getting 7 points at Auburn even after Auburn almost blew it to Utah State. But then again I think Miss. State could be a real sleeper for the SEC and the National title this year. South Carolina at Georgia should be a good game as well. Considering that Georgia isn't that good and SC for a change actually is you would think SC should win easy but things can get interesting in these "win to keep the coach's job" games.

^Yeah, it's probably a little over the line but it's just a fun joke and it's not like Peyton won't recover. He may not play this year, or again, but after a 12 year first ballot hall of fame caliber career how many more years did he have left anyways? Without him the Colts might be terrible this year, they could have close to the worst record in the league, then they'll draft Luck and be a contender again. I have a lot of good friends who are Colts fans, and the Colts might be up there with Ohio State and Florida for the most obnoxious fans in pro sports. The joke was originally meant to poke fun at them for the years of abuse I've had to endure from them as a result of him being amazing.

I know this is the college football thread, but Peyton played College at one time, and he played at Tennessee which is an even better reason to make fun of him.... peyton manning.BMP My new fantasy football team name is the Super Mannings

What Was the Last Beer You Drank?
Hilltopper39 replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
Don't remember what the last beer I had was but it was dark and delicious and came from a tap in a Belgium Beer Bar in Greenville, SC. Before that it was about 3 Becks Octoberfest preceded by a 12 pack sampler of Magic Hat, and two other six packs that I also don't remember. Good night. -
^Les Miles also sold his soul to the Devil, and I don't like to bet against the Devil. I'd almost rather see Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, and Florida State join the SEC than Clemson. Texas A&M is kinda odd geographically but it's a big state school that fits otherwise. If expanding into new markets is the SEC's goal then I could see West Virginia and Virginia Tech making a lot of sense. Picking South Carolina isn't that crazy, I think the SEC West is going to be so beat up by the championship game that anything could happen. I think people are sleeping on Florida a little in the East, they still have Demps and Rainey, and they both can still run....

Any SFOG locals know if there is a decent Sports bar anywhere near the park or the Wingate? There are some pretty decent College Football games that Saturday and I was gonna try to slide out mid day for a few hours and watch some. Auburn @ Clemson Michigan State @ Notre Dame Tenn @ Florida Louisville @ Kentucky Ohio State @ Miami Oklahoma @ Florida State and the biggest match up of the weekend is Ross vs Goliath @ SFOG, over/under is currently 17 rides during ERT, any takers?

I read somewhere that they usually add a splash down section after the final bunny hop on the Phoenix every fall.... -

After 1week of play, now that there is a little discussion in this thread, anyone want to make season predictions for conference winners and the national championship game? SEC: Big 10: Big East: ACC: Pac 10: Big 12: national championship game: National Champion:

Watch your mouth!!! (I'm a WKU alumni, and 4 year football letterman). We're getting better. Kentucky is way down but they are never that great, same thing with Ole Miss (and BYU isn't awful). East Carolina is a pretty decent team, Georgia is really average this year and have been for a few seasons. But LSU, Bama, Florida, Miss. State, Arkansas, Florida, and South Carolina are all really good. I wouldn't be shocked if there are 3-4 SEC teams ranked in the top 10 all season long. The lower 1/3 of the SEC is really pretty average, but I don't think there is any comparison to any other conference as far as the top half goes. In years past a team like Kentucky or Georgia that finishes in the lower to middle of the SEC I think would easily be in the top half of the ACC, Big East or Big 10. I honestly hate Notre Dame but I do think this is the year they kinda turn the corner and start to improve a little. But let's be honest, I'll say it, they're still way too unathletic (white) to really compete against top tier programs. yeah they might beat the service academies, and some Big 10 schools but I don't see them ever getting back to the being the program they once were.
