  1. This might make me sound a tad stupid (granted) but how do I make a photo trip report?!
  2. I got the e-mail too and was curious about one particular ride that they singled out as being open: Corkscrew. I know it goes over the lake in the middle of the park, but why would the park single out a ride in the middle of the park, unaffected by flooding.
  3. I always was wondering why Route 76 never had anything in that area. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
  4. It could be some work on those tracks. The train derailed a year or two ago. Was it on/near that section of track?
  5. It's been over a year since I've ridden Renegade. But in that time, I've ridden Outlaw Run and Prowler.
  6. It could have been a copyright for Adventureland up in Iowa who has a wood coaster by that name. Not sure though. Outlaw Run's better anyway.
  7. I'll be at the park either Monday or Tuesday, depending on if/when I can get my brakes fixed. And I'm going to Worlds of Fun on Friday. Does anyone know if Steelhawk is open yet?
  8. That would be great if the carousel got a make over. It was made by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters in 1926 for Excelsior Amusement Park then it was moved to Valleyfair and is the oldest ride in the park. It would be nice to see the horses and the rest of the ride restored. They painted the roof last year which was better than the rusting blue top but more certainly could be done so it is nice to hear that it might. Did he mention a time frame or hint at when? Never expected a Banshee size coaster but you would think a smaller one could be done like Patriot mentioned above. Thanks for sharing about your visit with GM Frasier. Well we can be pretty sure that the carousel redo will happen in 2016 or later as 2015 sounds like it will be waterpark, waterpark, waterpark.
  9. ^^RCJunkie, I see what you are saying with the yellow outlines. But I believe that you forgot to include something in that: The restrooms in front of Mad Mouse. They would have to be at least relocated for traffic flow. I've always thought that the restrooms there made it seem a tad claustrophobic. Plus, they're old. While we're on the subject of aerial views, I looked over at Dinos Alive. Many of the picnic cove buildings are still there. I'm not entirely sure how accurate Google is right now, but they could be used for Haunt purposes. Or maybe Dinos was always meant as a temporary attraction. When the Dinos leave, I think that the picnic cove will be moved back, Route 76 will be expanded into where the current picnic area is, and the rest of the Dinos plot used for something else. Possible for what could be part of whatever replaces Corkscrew. For everyone saying that the Ampitheater at the front of the park will be replaced by a flat ride or something else, I doubt highly that they'd put a whole attraction in that area unless they'd either reroute the train, and/or creating some sort of bridge to get over the tracks. I could see them putting part of some kind of coaster there or and upcharge attraction, but not a free with admission ride. And before everyone points out Cedar Point does something similar with Mean Streak, remember the ride that it was when it opened and the hype surrounding it, and compare it to the ride it is today.
  10. When I come down next month, I want to get a picture of Outlaw Run's Golden Ticket. Where is it?
  11. Valleyfair!'s website actually has Styx's "Renegade" mentioned as the source for the name. I do agree that we need a Zamperla Air Race. Those are amazing.
  12. While everyone is talking about Northern Lights and Renegade, has anyone tried one of the Juicy Lucy Hot Dogs yet from the food truck in Route 76?
  13. Is anyone else wondering how on this ride they'll be able to accommodate multiple trains? I get how they can do it for the Freeze brothers in St. Louis & Over Texas, but with the multiple launches and passes through the station area...
  14. It's good to know that I'm not the only one to have thought this
  15. Best guess: the snow knocked it askew.
  16. Many didn't think we'd get Cedar Fair's first GCI either. Now three of the smallest parks in the chain have one.
  17. That's also the train turnaround. A part of the ride may be in there, but not the station.
  18. I'm coming down in mid-June and was wondering when the best time to do the Marvel Cave tour is?
  19. While everyone is complaining about how badly the park is managed, the quality of the coasters, and who the finger should be pointed at, am I the only one who's curious as to what will Opa be replaced with? I could easily see a Vekoma roller skater in that space. And as for everyone who is complaining about the lack of safety at the park, you do realize that it's in a state where people wear cheese on their heads to watch football.
  20. Yes. It was a go-kart track I believe. I also know they also had a robocoaster.
