Cedar Fair parks drive me crazy with this... they removed so many trees from Carowinds and now they are like "oh.. we have no shade.. we need trees" Any trees planted will be a welcome addition though. Cedar Fair is more likely to plant a garbage can than a tree.

While I'm a fan of the name Mustang Runner they're using on their Troika, it feels like it could have been better used on a launch coaster. WIth the front gate revamping, I wonder how/when/if it will tie into the eventual gate coaster.

Can't wait! But I heard that was delayed to 2026 What, it's not an Aquatrax with inversions? Ugh, I'm never going to SDC ever again. They always add such lame attractions.

Visiting the park either next Tuesday or Wednesday. -So when should I start looking at the weather for the day? I know over on the CP thread, they say avoid looking at the weather until just before visiting. BGT is close enough to the Gulf where I feel like this could be similar. -By that measure, what is the rain policy? -What rides do I need a medicated rabbit for vs which ones have bins in the stations? -With a one day ticket, what is the latest point where I could upgrade it to a season pass? -Since I'm moving down to Tampa for school, how is HOS hiring done. I've seen no advertising for it on social media. -I'm going to get either the all day dining plan or a Twisted Tails Pretzel. What is recommended.

Going briefly back to the subject of a Hyper at KD, I think it would be a great addition to the park. As long as it's more along the lines of Fury than I232. As for location, I could see it taking Dino's old spot and wrapping around Grizzly. But I think that RMC Hurler will be announced on Saturday. Anyone else think that Grizzly could benefit from a GCI redo similar to Ghostrider?

I'm glad the name isn't a FairHawk, but the ride is not at the northern border of the park. It's more southeast.

As someone who has worked various MN haunts for the past 6/7 years, I thank you for leaving your kids at home so you don't complain later about us scaring your kids.

The biggest complaint I've ever heard about an RMC product is that they're shorter than they used to be. From what I've heard about Rattler-->Iron Rattler, it was a blessing--especially considering that triple helix. Note I said RMC product. The NTAG incident was a Gerstlauer train.

I just Googled it, it's a company based in Eden Prairie that specializes in medical devices. Interesting thing to advertise at an amusement park... http://www.surmodics.com/ Ah, in that case, it was probably a company outing at the park and they rented out Galaxy for a private event.

Galaxy theatre is advertising something called surmodics. Anyone know WTFF this means?

At that time RMC had a VERY small workshop to manufacture the track pieces. They could only build one, maybe two pieces at a time. Since then they have moved into a new, much bigger facility and have hired a lot more staff to make many more track pieces at a time. If Cedar Point is waiting to do an RMC conversion until 2018, I think it's more likely that the park just wants a nice large buffer zone of time to work out any kinks in the project and have the ride ready for opening day. And now RMC works several of their own projects, combined with the track manufacturing for the S&S 4D Free Spins. Also, Mean Streak would be their biggest project since Iron Rattler. Depending on how long the conversion takes, the manufacturing, installation, and testing can be spaced out a little more to give RMC a little breathing room with how many projects they have for 2017 and 2018 combined.

Oh, my sweet summer child. Spend some time at MIA or Great Escape and you'll be even more grateful for that awesome new GCI Ghostrider.

With all the teasing, why is it Snoopy that is being the spokes person? Is he just the most recognizable being related to the park and so they're using him in the campaign? I'm aware that the main Planet Snoopy is at the opposite end of the park, but could this possibly have something to do with a more family-related attraction? Or should I go rest my water-logged brain?

I've been under the impression that RMC Streak was always planned for 2018. If I remember correctly, Texas Giant closed over a year early for its conversion. While the process has been streamlined I'm sure and this is CP we're talking about--who can replace Dragster's cable overnight, MS is bigger than NTAG ever was. Also with Valravn this year and the previous few years in near-succession of new coasters. I think it's time to give Soak City some love.

^KD announced some waterslides the same day Fury was announced. The closings of Enterprise and Mean Streak were announced on the same day. While I could name-drop my source, I know you'd be the first to pounce on me for doing so. And no, it's not Dave Frazier.

I've heard two separate things about what will be replacing Enterprise. -A relocated Star-Flyer type attraction from England around 100 feet in height. -A 245 foot Mondial WindSeeker. Though with the announcement date, my money's on the windseeker August 18th will tell for sure.

^How's the workout on it? I was on a sky fly about a week ago for the first time and only got one full rotation, with several long periods of inverted hamgtime and was completely exhausted coming off.

Just talked with several of the AWE performers considering the MCBR of Wild Thing. They barely hear it with the intensity of their music and adrenaline. A sand-filled B&M isn't out of the question if the music's loud enough.

That's awfully optimistic. The Enterprise location will be used for a ride to be announced on the 18th. Anyone check out the Hersheypark announcement? I don't know if that 3rd tower is a double shot or a new idea, but if it's a new idea, what are the chances the two turbo drops here get converted into them with the blue becoming just a turbo drop? Does that make any sense to anyone or do I need to elaborate further?

Antique Autos was also announced as leaving/being retired.

With all these people talking about nakedness relating to the soon to be deceased Mean Streak, I'm surprised Guy T. Koepp hasn't chimed in yet on the nudity at stake. In all seriousness, when it does get RMC'd, will the new name relate to Mean Streak, or will they come up with a completely new name. Looking at what RMC did with NTAG, and what they've done since, I can't wait to see what happens here. I'm also waiting to read people complain about the eventual GCI that the park gets after Blue Streak becomes the only wooden coaster at the park.

I've heard that the announcement date will be August 18th. I don't know whether or not the park would be willing to get rid of Galaxy for a Triotech dark ride as it's the only fully enclosed entertainment venue in the park. I doubt the new ampitheater will go anywhere for a long time. A good chunk of money was spent on it and it sounds like All Wheels Extreme will be back for 2017 from what I've gained talking to some of the cast. It's a good performance venue, but at the same time, it's fully exposed--leaving the patrons baking in the sun and could be a fire hazard trying to get out of there if the gate's closed. In other news, here's another one of my stupid/crazy pipe dreams for the park. Red: Mondial Revolution named Delirium--sooner rather than later Blue: Compact thrill coaster. Think Premier Sky Rocket II or S&S 4-D Free-Fly--later rather than sooner. Black: the queue/entrance for said coaster.

Since everyone is yammering about how Mean Streak should get RMC'd instead of GCI'd (I completely agree). My biggest question is: how would CoasterBill take the news? Would he swear off CP forever, or would he embrace the fate of his beloved?
