  1. I'm going tomorrow also, anyone have photo requests?
  2. Is it possible for SFMM to leave one side a wooden coaster and the other an RMC?
  3. I just can't wait to ride it when Thunderbird is up!
  4. R.I.P. Robin, you've inspired many and made millions laugh. You will be missed dearly.
  5. Agreed, I hope the park goes with that name. But, who knows the new name will even include cyclone.
  6. What do you guys think? Iron Cyclone or New England Cyclone?
  7. Nice find, I find it weird that they would install one after all the problems.
  8. All park chains do it, but isn't it false advertisement? They see a cool coaster on TV and a Kings Island logo pops up, or a Six Flags over Texas. They visit the park, and it's no where to be found. Shouldn't they atleast mention in a Lower section all the rides showed May not be in the park.
  9. I got out June 13th or 16th, I don't remeber.
  10. Not all Indiana schools, only one school has went back in my area. And that was just yesterday, but all of us are starting in this month. So the park should be cleared up some soon.
  11. I was watching the 2012 announcement video for Six Flags and noticed they used Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom as shots for Six Flags Great America. Weird.
  12. I doubt this will be the end of Timber Wolf. But, the signs were posted they should have read them. It's not WOF's fault, you would have to be an idiot to not know most woodies are rough.. But teen again I still feel bad for the boy.
  13. Can't let this gem get buried just yet...so QFT! I'm loving this I wonder if T3 will really attract more guests. ( Of course it will attract some people.) But I'm guessing not many. I'm hoping the new trains make the ride a much better experience.
  14. DESCRIPTION: Thunderbird is the nation’s first launched wing coaster. It is Holiday World’s first major steel roller coaster, with a 0-60mph launch in 3.5 seconds, followed by multiple inversions – including a 14-story Immelmann loop, Zero-g roll, barrel roll, and loop. Continuing Holiday World’s tradition of sending roller coasters through thickly wooded and hilly terrain, Thunderbird at first soars and loops high in the air and then hugs the ground, surprising riders with rapid-fire “near misses” such as keyholes, themed elements, other rides, trees, and even the ground. TRACK LENGTH: 3,035 feet RIDE HEIGHT: 140 feet at Immelmann loop’s peak RIDE ELEMENTS: From start to finish: •Launch, using LSM technology •Immelmann loop •Loop •Horseshoe •Elevated Spiral •Zero-G roll •S curve •2 “headchopper” keyholes •Carousel •360 in-line twist (barrel roll) •2 Crossovers with The Voyage SPEED: Thunderbird’s top speed is 60 miles per hour RIDE TIME: 1 minute, 18 seconds (station to station) RIDE VIDEO: http://HolidayWorld2015.com TRAINS: Two trains, each with five four-person coaches CAPACITY: 1,140 Guests per hour HEIGHT LIMIT: Riders must be at least 52 inches tall INVESTMENT: $22 million RIDE DESIGNER: Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), Switzerland LEGEND: In 1620, as the Mayflower neared the end of its 66 days at sea, a mighty storm nearly capsized the ship, taking it hundreds of miles off course. As passengers and crew feared all was lost, an immense bird appeared in the sky. The thunderbird, whose wings created the thunder and eyes flashed the lightning of the powerful storm, rescued the ship by launching it through the sky to the New World. I don't think this has been posted. But it includes a bunch of details about ThunderBird.
  15. I'm also really excited! I'm a HUGE fan of Jurassic Park, I couldn't live without it.
  16. Do we have any idea when track will go vertical?
  17. I'm guessing ThunderBird will be one of those coasters you want to ride as soon as you get to the park first. Start from the back and head up, only because most people will ride Raven first. Then Legend, then Voyage, and head back to Thunderbird. It seems logical to me.
  18. Actually they have Trams at the park, but once inside no other transportation is provided to my knowledge.
