Does anyone know the average wait time on a Winterfest night for MT?

A few months ago it had the park listed as permanently closed for a good while. I'm not sure if it stayed that way, or it just changed again.

Being an operator on Lightning Run at KK, I can only imagine that it must've been bad. Every single night when the last train would come in, riders would always without a doubt chant "one more time, one more time!" While it's kind of funny, some people actually get rude about us not sending one more train out. Being Firehawk's last train, ever, it might've been bad.

I might buy it just because I know I won't go to the park again for at least a few more years and it's my first visit to the park.

I'm planning a trip to Dollywood and then I plan to head to Carowinds after. I don't plan on going until next season, but does anyone have any tips? Is the park normally crowded? Should I buy fast lane? I'm embarrassed to say, but I've never embarked on a theme park road trip like this before and I don't know what to expect. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

^ Awesome! So do we know anything about the extra acreage that the park had said they have the right to expand on? Is that still the plan?

Have any of you seen CoasterStudio's documentary on the park? They stated in the video that the original idea for Storm Chaser was to have two lift hills, but low attendance made them side with one lift hill. I don't recall who said it, but you can watch it here if you'd like! It's pretty neat!

Surprisingly, none! However, on the back of the shirt it lists all of the RMC coasters and the parks that each coaster is at and some man asked why Kings Island wasn't on the list... Thank you! I figured I needed one last picture with the entry sign before the demise.

Visited the park yesterday. Firehawk was open most of the day, with some occasional problems here and there. I only saw backlot running test runs once or twice, but I wasn't in that area for long. Banshee went down about 4 times, however it was only about 20 minutes each time. I had a free Fastlane Plus, so I went ahead and used it, figuring that I wouldn't go back to the park until at least Winterfest. The fastlane wasn't needed though, the park wasn't really busy at all. Overall, it was a great day!

Awesome TR! I'm glad you had a good time. I'm honestly not really sure why the park doesn't have a halloween event. I know that they did when Ed owned the park before and they put on Fright Fest when Six Flags owned the park. I would also love to see this park get later operating hours.

I don't think the park is hyping anything too much and I won't claim that they were. Regardless of what it is, I won't complain because it's better than nothing. I didn't think it was a coaster at first, but being at the park all weekend, talking to a bunch of people, my thoughts have changed. Granted, I am looking too much into things, I'll be happy with whatever we get.

What're your predictions? I know that Kingdom doesn't have a huge budget to spend on a new coaster, or thats what I'm assuming. Ed has hinted at another RMC and I believe he's hinted at a B&M. I personally don't see an Intamin being installed at the park. KK has had a rocky road with their Intamin ship ride this year. Personally, I think its a coaster. I just don't know what manufacturer or style they'd go with. The park has never teased an attraction to this degree, to my knowledge. The park is putting out multiple teaser videos with an official announcement date to be announced at a later date. There are a few markings behind deep water dive, and I've heard there are some behind sky catcher. As of last month, there was a very small amount of land clearing behind skycatcher and theres been a few bulldozers by deep water dive for a month or two. I'm super excited to see the new teaser video on Friday!

Has the park ever teased in a similar way for a new attraction? I can't recall of a time, so it must be something pretty cool. I don't think it's a large scale coaster, I don't even think it's a coaster. However, did we ever hear where Dorney's boomerang went? Was it scrapped? Sold?

I'm glad you had a good time! Lightning Run's dispatch times can be wonky. Sometimes we'll get trains out in under a minute and other times it'll be up to three minutes, because the restraints are so finicky.

As a ride operator, I 100% agree with Robb. There's a ton of little things that prevent the restraints from engaging. PLEASE do not wear a fanny pack, I see probably close to 50 people everyday that wonder why their restraints aren't engaging and then I'll see that they have a fanny pack on. Also, make sure you're sitting all the way back, and that you're sitting up as straight as possible.

Maybe I missed something, but what is the difference between the rock n' roller and Himalaya? The park now has both and they seem pretty similar to me.

I saw Lady Gaga last week in Louisville. Well worth the money.

Its plausible for a floorless. I don't think we'll see a wing coaster. All of the surrounding parks have one, except KK. Holiday World, Cedar Point, and SFGA have one. I'd bet on a giga, sit down looper, or some type of launched coaster. I don't think that Cedar Fair wants to add an RMC, dive coaster, or wing to this park because Cedar Point made those additions in recent years. I don't think they want a bunch of similar rides in their two Ohio parks, but I could be dead wrong.

I get that, I probably wouldn't care at all if it was replaced with something better.

I don't think a coaster will be going where Enterprise currently sits. I think another flat will just go there. A coaster will likely go where Dragsters used to be and behind Eye of The Storm or beside the waterpark and T3. Time will tell. I think an RMC raptor would compliment the park nicely. Regardless, I don't think we'll see anything major until 2019-2020.
