  1. Will this be the shortest RMC? I'm sure they can work their glorious magic on this ride, but it sucks that they can only work with 80 feet.
  2. This seems like the most likely case to me.
  3. I can't wait to plaster this all over my facebook and annoy the crap out of my friends about this! It's my favorite part about local parks announcing big rides
  4. Twisted Tyrants and Double Trouble both sound really good, but I think I'm leaning towards Double Trouble, it sounds more sleek to me.
  5. I'm talking about the I-box..but I don't know about the other guy.
  6. I'm hoping for an orange color for the new TT, but any color will do as long as RMC is putting it in.
  7. The last new coaster in my count is Banshee but I'm going to BGT for the first time next month as well as returing to Universal and Islands for the first time since 2000, so I will have a lot to add here soon. I will fanboy soo hard when I enter Harry Potter World.
  8. Take out the brakes, and have a station flyby through the sacraficed side's platform. Remember, the sides exit opposite have lift hills just as accordingly. I didn't remember that the stations were a little separated. That's a good point
  9. Figures that I was in Ireland last summer...oh well. What a beautiful country though.
  10. I think it will also depend on how long the ride will be closed for. If it becomes a lengthy closure, which I think it will be, I wouldn't be surprised to see people flock to the ride when it reopens. That's a really good point. What's the chance it's closed for the remainder of the season? I wouldn't really know, but considering the fact that they've had the entire park closed since then, I would think it's a decent chance.
  11. As Christian, Kentuckian, and a student of government, I'm frustrated and surprised that they are even being allowed to selectively discriminate employment based on religion. I mean wow. I also disagree with them refusing gay workers, but unfortuneately that is legally sound. On the other hand, without any decent larger rides or anything in that vein, I find it difficult to see how they can be an effective attraction with two hugely popular parks nearby and Kentucky Kingdom on the rise. It seems like quite the obstacle to overcome. If I wanted my kids to learn about Christianity, I would tell them myself instead of let them hit a hole in one through a Lion's Den.
  12. I wonder if they would try to pull some Twisted Collossus and have the trains go through both sides?
  13. I mean surely ridership will falter for a while when it reopens, but sooner rather than later, people will be willing to hop back on like nothing ever happened. Individually people may shy away, but unless some catastrophic and apocalyptic accident occurred on a ride, people as a whole are surprisingly quick to forget these things.
  14. If Twisted Twins run with RMC, I might weep for a while out of joy. At least 2 days straight.
  15. Here's hoping I get to visit both Busch Gardens Tampa and Universal and IoA in July!!
  16. You must have driven by my hometown in Kentucky assuming you took I-75. We have the only Bojangles in Kentucky to boot.
  17. Depending on how quickly we can do Busch Gardens, maybe we will have two days. The last time I was in orlando, I was too young to ride anything in IoA really, so I'm pretty excited to go back, but especially for Harry Potter. That Express seems really good value, so that definitely is an option.
  18. Me and my dad will be headed here in July in addition to Busch Gardens because this is my best shot at going to to Harry Potter world and I'm wondering what days of the week IoA and Universal are lightest. I know that it'll be crowded probably every day, but as we are staying in Tampa, I feel like I should ask. Also, I was hoping I would only have to go to IoA but I found out that Diagon Alley is in Universal. Making me buy that extra ticket. Thanks.
  19. Yeah I've been to GrAdv, CP and Hershey all before (and I feel like this is my best shot to visit Harry Potter World) so I would like to hit that while I'm down there. I hear that Kumba and Montu are some top-notch rides, so I'm pretty excited.
  20. My family is planning on visiting BG this July but since I'm the only child and it's likely my last summer before I graduate college they want it to be my choice. I've been to BGW twice, but I've never been to BGT and as I'm 3 new coasters short, I'd like to catch up there, but I hear so many good things about BGT and it's line up, I would like second opinions on the ride lineups at both parks and I thought this thread would be a good place to start.
  21. Yesterday was about as perfect a day as I could have at Kings Island. No long lines for the rides that I wanted to go on, sun shining, and low crowds. I'm now more convinced that the only place to ride Banshee is the backseat. I can't believe how awesome that ride is in the backseat, and I'm still disappointed that we didn't get to choose where we sat even though the line was shorter than the first time we rode (where we did get to choose). Third row was more forceful, but the rattle was real. As many times as I have ridden Diamondback, I have never gotten that much airtime until yesterday. The 3rd car back seat gave me some quality airtime. I'm just glad my friends didn't make me ride Firehawk.
  22. I'm at the park right now. Wait times for all the rides have been 10 mins max (except Flight of Fear). Tomorrow will probably be very much the same. Hope you have fun! If lines are that short, having fun will be easy.
