  1. Actually I think its "big trick" is the holding brake before the vertical drop. The holding brake is what sets Dive Machines aside from other coasters with vertical drops. People really under estimate the power of the holding brake.
  2. Just glanced looked through the announcement to see how amazing this project is going to be!!! Then I saw this... Boy that's true. Disney projects take so long to complete half the time I forget they are even building something new... Then again, it is always well worth the wait!
  3. That is what I thought. This coaster looks simply amazing. I see no need for another coaster addition at the same time... But that's just me. Oh. That makes more sense. Guess it means the second coaster is official now.
  4. I feel like they need to do something for parking. When we were there doing our VIP Tour, our VIP Tour guide informed us that they were having people wait at the toll booth for parking because they were out of parking. Every parking lot was full, including the "overflow" lots, and the backup lots. Granted this was just one day out of the season, so there may not be a huge need for it, but I could see in the future needing something for parking...
  5. You'll have plenty of time... as long as none of the rides break down. The maintenance team seems like they couldn't care less about getting the rides fixed in a timely manor.
  6. I'd take your ID just to be safe. You could always take it back out to your car after the walkback.
  7. SDC for Christmas, and then VIP Tours at Dollwood, and Cedar Point next summer!
  8. I LOVE how tiny Raptor's cobra roll looks next to Valravn.
  9. I personally prefer the older style. I don't know what people complain about but I never got serious head banging with them. I've never bad serious head banging on a B&M coaster. I feel like people complaining about the head banging read it some where on line and seriously have no idea what they are talking about. The new restraints become very uncomfortable. Espically if you're tall. They cut into your collar bone and make the ride really uncomfortable. Personally I wish B&M would have just stuck with the old school harnesses.
  10. Are people seriously still complaining about the name?? Oh. My. God. The name is no worse than Rougarou, and there was not nearly this much bitching when they announced Rougarou. I'm starting to think you all would have been happier if they would have just named the coaster "Diving Coaster" and moved on. If I had to guess half the people complaining about the name are complaining because they are not smart enough to be able to pronounce it. Let me repeat this for all of you who seem to have forgotten it... - This is still a new... record breaking coaster. - There is NOT to much orange track in the park. - There is nothing wrong with the name. - The coaster was NEVER going to have theming to begin with... I mean, this is Cedar Point... so stop complaining about the lack of theming. - It's a Dive Machine. Which there are only 2 other ones in the US. Be thankful that they didn't just get a clone of another coaster. At least it is a unique, record breaking Dive Machine instead of a cookie cutter. - The layout it not "boring" or "lame." It's not un-inspiring. It's not going to be forceless. Those are seriously ignorant. Simply ignorant things to say about this coaster. It is a solid addition to the park. I feel like half of you would have complained about MF when it was first announced. "OMG. It's so lame. So boring. So drawn out. There is no theming. Why does it have to be so blue? Why is the name so stupid...? Seriously, you know you would have. If you don't like the coaster, then don't ride it. Better yet... If you don't like the coaster then just don't go to the park. Stay home and bitch about the coaster while the rest of us will go and ride, and enjoy the coaster. I seriously feel like about 85% of you all who are complaining about this coaster will never even get to the park to ride it to begin with. . . You just want to complain... to complain. Be greatful there is a new coaster coming to the park, and move on. #EndRant
  11. *IF* and that is a BIG if you are not just being a troll, and you really think this looks like a boring ride then it is time for you to find a new hobby, because obviously riding really good roller coasters is not for you.
  12. The real question is... how high do the winds need to be before the ride shuts down, and does it close it drizzle?
  13. I thought it was "Orange is the new track?"
  14. The level of detail on this project just keeps getting better and better.
  15. (me, being sarcastic...) Well... That didn't take long.
  16. Thank's Robb!! The POV looks awesome!!
  17. WHAT?!?! There is no tunnel!?! How could Cedar Point?! Don't they know every good coaster MUST have a tunnel. I am shocked no one has complained that they didn't go ahead and put the "Danger do not enter" signs on the low zone fences in the animation (even though we know they will be there in real life)... I mean they didn't change the name after that guys death... and now this?? Ugh... what has Cedar Point come to? (You know there are people who will say things like this, and they will be serious about it.) I'm calling it now... This is for sure going to be a back row ride. Ever Dive Machine I have been on gives amazing airtime in the back row. Of course the holding brake is the best in the front row, but the airtime will be the best in the back row!! I hope the trains still have the tiered seating. I am not sure why they wouldn't... I'm just not familiar with the vest harnesses on a Dive Machine train. I think the colors on the trains look good, and I think the color of the track looks good!! Can't wait to try it out next summer!
  18. Depends on who you ask. I think they have good capacity. But if you ask others they will complain because the coasters don't get 9,500 riders per hour.
  19. So I am going to be the first to say it, (and I know you all will probably freak out because I am saying it, and then complain because I am saying something that is not "positive" about the coaster) . . . But I am really sad to see that this coaster is getting the new vest harnesses. For me, and maybe it is just because I am so tall, but the vest harnesses dig into my collarbone, and kill any airtime there would be on the coaster. I would much rather have seen a 10 across train with the old school harnesses. . . However, this is just my opinion. Regardless of the harness type this coaster will still be a huge hit... I'll still ride it, and I'll still enjoy it. -- Also, I think the colors look great, and I love the new walkway to Blue Streak. Maybe it will keep that area from being so deserted.
  20. I was surprised that they didn't go for 10 riders per row as well. Either way it's going to be great!!!
  21. Agreed!!! Sadly my class starts in 1 minute so I may not get to watch the live announcement
