  1. I don't know if we just caught it on a bad day, or what was going on, but our ride in the back row right side was awful. It was so rough it made Mean Streak feel smooth. Like I said it could have been an off day, or the train could have had a "bad wheel." But it was awful.
  2. I'll add New Revolution Virtual Reality Coaster, on Ninja at Six Flags St. Louis to my list. It is by far one of the worst coasters I have ever been on. I'd gladly take Manhattan Express (Roller Coaster) at New York New York over New Revolution Virtual Reality Coaster on Ninja.
  3. It is by far my least favorite of the 3 dive machines in the US. Whatever you do avoid the back row, right side, edge seat. Our favorite place to sit is front row, above the track. Also, don't go in expecting any good airtime because the vest restraints kill that sensation.
  4. This quote: And this quote: Were both 100% accurate!!!
  5. Having went to what was then called "Camp Dry Gulch" many, many years ago it's interesting to see how the place has changed. When I first went there they had some really neat watersides. (At least neat at the time.) That was actually the first time I went down a "speed slide" with a "vertical" and by vertical I mean just a straight angled drop. At that time they also had a sky coaster kind of ride. Where you would harness up, and the rest of your team would pull on a rope that would then pull you up in the air, once at the top you had to pull a ripcord which would send you into a short freefall, before then swinging you up into a giant arch back and forth. There was also the "one time at church camp" story, which was ironically the first time I realised I was gay, but that's not a family friendly story. Anyway, interesting to hear about how it's doing now. Thanks for sharing.
  6. Pteranodon Flyers at USO!!
  7. BGW gets my vote. BGW is such an amazing park, with a great collection of attractions. Don't get me wrong, Hershey is a good park, but overall (IMO) it doesn't even compare to BGW.
  8. Just another reason I HATE the vest restraints. Especially on Valravn. In addition to how miserably uncomfortable the vest restraints are, they also keep you so pinned in your seat that you don't get the amazing "butt off the seat" feeling you get on Griffon or SheiKra. I LOVE me a good Dive Machine, but when you put the vest restraints on one, it kills the ride. I'll ride SheiKra and Griffon all day long, but I don't have the desire to ever ride Valravn again.
  9. September 32nd at 8:32am cst. Or is it September 31st? Depends on which "rumor on the street" you're going by. Ohhhhh, I'm sorry... Wrong Hashtag. That was suppose to be #ItllNeverOpen
  10. I heard they're already having problems with the launch... #TooSoon
  11. Can't wait! But I heard that was delayed to 2026 What, it's not an Aquatrax with inversions? Ugh, I'm never going to SDC ever again. They always add such lame attractions. But rumor on the street now is that the Intamin Giga coaster got pushed back to 2026 because they are putting in a B&M launched, inverted, Aquatrax for 2025.
  12. Just thought I'd throw this out there. . . Rumor on the street is that SDC's new coaster for 2025 is suppose to be Intamin Giga Coaster. The tallest, longest, fastest giga coaster ever. A cross between Millennium Force, and i305.
  13. Just throwing this out there... But maybe it's a spinning coaster for 2017, and then a "large" coaster for 2018. . . .
  14. This is what happens when people assume they know what's going on with a park. I've decided especially in this thread to just wait for an official announcement from the park on any new additions they are getting. Given the history of this thread, you know, the "Oh it's a Dive Machine, now it's a flying coaster, now it's a hyper coaster, now it's a wing coaster, now it's a launched coaster, now it's a spinning coaster..." Yeah, no. I think the most creditable thing right now is the spinning coaster, and that's because it came straight from plans the park made public.
  15. Yes. That's the only reason why. But then again, we were also told that "all signs point to B&M." So unless B&M now makes spinning coasters, I think said poster might be wrong. Therefore maybe it's going to be a 2017 addition after all and not a 2018 addition.
  16. Sounds like the injuries to the ladies who were also in the raft were a little more severe than we (or at least I) first thought. Source.
  17. ^ Not surpirsed, when you have a lot of lights it takes a long time to get them all put up! With my measly 10,000 lights I still have to start putting them up in September to get them done in time. They put on a great display, and I'm not surpirsed they do it all in house!!
  18. It's very possible. It's not there is a law that requires them to build/announce something new every year. If it's suppose to be as big of a project as it's rumored to be, I could see them holding off till next year to make their announcement.
