Well for this thing to be a flyer (my prediction), it's gonna have to be the teal track at the B&M plant. There is also blue supports for a transfer track sitting at the plant as well, so yeah. Looking at the construction for most recent B&M's, the transfer track is one of the first things that is put together. -

^^^ Comes from a German speaking country. They do speak German in Switzerland, but as somebody posted, their headquarters are located in a French speaking part of Switzerland. As I said, she said German speaking, because there are more manufacturers that could be possible, which leads to more speculation. I posted this earlier, but the Bastille Day clue would make sense then. It's a French Holiday and B&M speaks French/the headquarters are located in a French speaking part of Switzerland. ^^ Looks like another normal day to me. What has caught my eye the last two days is the fact that they're putting out more survey markers right in front of the camera. -

^Those pages will probably be filled with the same posters who said HW was "too small" to be able to make a 20+ million dollar investment.. I'm not gonna lie, if my guess ends up being right, I might do a collective fist pump, like any other person would do when they're proven right, but I'm not going to get on here and brag about it. That would just be stupid, especially since my guess was literally the last thing I would have ever thought HW would build 66 days ago. I went into this 66 days thinking Mack LSM, and came out of it with a lying down backwards launched B&M flyer. I know I've made some posts explaining why I think my guess is correct, but what do I really know? I have a feeling this day is going to crawl along at a very slow pace.. -

No, been on it since day light. Watched the Local News reporter ride Mammoth with Matt. Again Matt made a reference to a " Birds of Pray" show. Yeah I watched that too. Was surprised to learn that Will Koch's other daughter, Lauren, (I think?) has never rode Mammoth, until today, or at least that's what I thought the reporter said. Anyways, they're not giving away anything else. They're all sticking to the hints they gave in the final blog post last night. "22 million reasons to be happy", "birds of prey". The 22 million dollars isn't even a hint. They've already told us that! Paula needs to take him (VP James) under her wing and teach him how to make some creative hints! Just not too creative. We don't need another person from HW torturing us, or as I like to call it, trolling us. -

It was a clue specifically given away in the blog. You can find it here, but I'll go ahead and post the half of it to save you some time. Edit: just looked at the splashcam. The lights on lift hill for The Voyage are on. These reporters are so lucky! The Thanksgiving section is absolutely lit up. Hope they don't let them ride The Legend, or at least turn off the howling noise at top of the lift. They might find they'll have some unhappy campers (pun-intended) today. -

^ I never thought about that and you're right it would be a worlds first. Just not sure how the unloading and loading of the trains would work, plus just the weight the train would carry with a swinging mechanism and the normal weight of a wing rider train. -

This is either a wing rider or flyer. I have two reasons (actually several in two large paragraphs) why I'm not changing my prediction of a flyer. 1. At last check, which was the beginning of the month, The B&M plant was still working on Dive Coaster track . There was no wing coaster track in the yard, and they still have Giga track they need to produce for Carowinds and that is over 5,500 feet worth of track (you can find that dive coaster track here) The last time there were pictures posted, there was red track (which I think is Dive Coaster track), Yellow (flyer/invert for China), White,(Dive coaster for Europe), and Teal (flyer/invert). HW used the color teal in their 66 days at sea campaign photos and would sorta of make sense if this thing is named after a "creature". 2. I have said this before, but what would be a worlds first about a wing rider? There is already a launched wing rider, they all have inversions. You can't market it to the GP has B&M's first launched wing rider. They have no clue who B&M is. The 4D concept has obviously been done before, unless it's a launched 4D coaster. I can't imagine B&M being comfortable doing a launch on a brand new prototype, especially when the launch is a prototype for them as well. Plus, haven't 4D coasters historically costed over $40 million (I know they were different manufacturers)? I know the pictures and wording in the journal make you think wing rider, but they can also be interpreted as flyer. It could very well be a wing rider, but in my mind, the evidence for flyer is a bit overwhelming. If I'm right with lying down backwards launch, it would be a worlds first, and it would also sort of match the last part of the story in the journal. Think about it, you enter the launch section lying down, starring at the clouds. Next thing you know, you're launched at 60 MPH, much like when the creature picked up the boat. Then you're put in the standard inverted position, where you fly through the course, like the creature is carrying you, and he is taking you to your new home/new world, which is the station. I'm actually starting to think this 66 days journal is a prelude to what the queue is going to be like. If you think about it, we've been standing in line for about 65 days, now we're on the real ride and we're going to go for the ride tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised to see the journal entries posted throughout the queue, with a lot of theming that it explains this story. She just said a German speaking country, probably because there are more ride manufactures who are in German speaking countries. Leaves us to speculate even more. People do speak German in parts of Switzerland, right? Hold on, hold on, Bastille Day is a French holiday. B&M headquarters is located in the French speaking part of Switzerland... There's the clue for Bastille Day. -

One thing about todays clue. It says the creature carried the passengers. If it carried the passengers, they wouldn't be sitting on the wings. Still sticking with my prediction of a B&M teal tracked flyer with the worlds first lying down launch. -

^ The exact same thing with The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Not directly related to Halloween, other than being a scary story with a ghost who is a headless horseman. HW made that work as well. -

Nope. That's wishful thinking. Thunderbird has nothing to do with Thanksgiving itself, nor a direct correlation with the Mayflower, or Pilgrims. If that doesn't sound like a bad a** roller coaster, I don't know what does. I hope I answered your question. I honestly don't know how they will make the theming work. I just know they'll make it work. -

Just because this creature in the journal has wings, doesn't necessarily mean it will be a wing coaster. I mean since the thing has wings, doesn't that also mean it could fly, as in flying coaster? Edit: Just elaborate on this. I know the post mentioned wings, but this part keeps sticking with me: It says they're swept up in its great power, as in they're going for a ride. It doesn't say on the wings, or they're being carried. Hopefully today's journal entry will explain this a bit better. I'll say this again, what can they do with a wing coaster that hasn't already been done? What would make it a first of it's kind? -

It took 6 months for Goliath at SFGA to come together, design and all. Expansion plans can be handed over, but the ride and design is never final until the contracts have been signed. Even then, it is really never final until the ride is built. The Voyage's design was tweaked two or three times during the building process, which eventually saw a third 90 degree turn added to the ride. Heck, I believe Walter Bolliger designed the layout for Gatekeeper on a napkin in a restaurant, then presented it to somebody from Cedar Fair. That is how quickly these designs can come together. You mean typing? Anyways, if it makes you happy, I guess I will. -

Ha! "I don't want to answer that question" + a coy smile = nondisclosure agreement. Probably right when talks of this project were getting going. Yup, my guess is locked in. Yeah because Dan Koch came to this agreement with B&M at IAAPA 2012, gets fired less than month later before any formal ride designs can be presented to the park and actual contracts are signed. New management, who is in a lawsuit at the time with Dan Koch over control over the park, has the exact same vision as he does (even though neither side is speaking to each other) and decide to move forward with the ride he wanted to build. Seems likely Or the talks between B&M and HW started early in 2013, after new management was in place and they get the design of the ride they want. Not saying your guess is wrong, but your reasoning for being very confident in that assumption is a bit off. Four years later, Intimidator would have costed a tad bit more with inflation. -

I don't know if it is because they're using wooden supports, but I'm kind of surprised that they didn't support the bottom of that drop/hill similar to Ravine Flyer II where it is bridged in sections and limited the amount footers used (which I'm not sure if that was the purpose with Ravine Flyer II, but it would seem to make sense here). That is just a lot of concrete. Can anybody recall footers that tall for any roller coaster? -

^ You might wanna get a few extra bottles. I believe Paula said several of the people who are "in the loop" at the park have been following along with this thread as well. If that doesn't sound like a bad a** roller coaster, I don't know what does. I hope I answered your question. I honestly don't know how they will make the theming work. I just know they'll make it work. I would have responded to this earlier, but I was at work. Wow! Great research. I only asked, because sometimes, people just "don't get it". I feel like the theming of a ride should be able to speak for itself, rather than the park having to give a complex answer to why it fits in said section. I'm with you, HW can make it work, but I'm sure there will be some people who still "don't get it". That's alright, at the end of the day, the name is just an after thought if the ride kicks a**. Just gonna throw this out there, but what would be the first of it's kind for a wing coaster? There is already a launched wing coaster (made by Intamin). -

^ It could work, but I think the redesign on that would be so complex, it would be much simpler and cheaper to build a new one.
