  1. ^^ I'm exactly with you on that prediction. As I've said before, there is nothing unique nor is it a world first if it's a just a launched B&M sit-down looper. You can't advertise the worlds first launched B&M to the GP, it just won't sell. Now the worlds first launched flying coaster (especially if the launch is lying down), that sells.
  2. Actually, around here it is quite well known that HW builds the "best" "first" "longest" rides in the world. Most of it is that the GP doesn't really know better sometimes, but it also the fact the park advertises their top rides and their accolades all over the surrounding region. That's why I've always expected this ride to be a first or break some type of world record. It is what HW does and sort of what their guest come to expect from HW. I think it will be 2016 before it gets reused. They didn't make the decision to remove the until earlier this year, and this ride that is being built now was probably in the final stages of design by then. I think it would be pushing it a little to ask the manufacturer to redesign a portion of the ride and completely redesign the the station to fit a ride that was never intended to go in it. I still think they're going to end up putting in another shoot the chutes or something like that to go back in the station.
  3. No offense, but the steel coaster polls (Golden Ticket/Mitch Hawker- #6 in GT/#2 in MH) tend to disagree with your opinion on NTAG. Perhaps your not a airtime person? I am an airtime person and I didn't feel much of anything on it. The Outlaw Run on the other hand was outstanding. While polls have their place, my experience on rides and polls are sometimes different and in time after a ride is no longer new, the polls provide a more accurate answer to how the ride really is. For instance, the Timber Wolf was very highly rated for years in polls like these in the 1990s and I was never impressed with it back then and am I not now where it lands more accurately very low on the list. While I've never rode NTAG, I find it hard to believe that Robb would lie in the TPR video when they counted about 14 moments of what looked like extreme airtime. Maybe you caught it on a bad day?
  4. Everyone sees the construction site in that photo, I see more room for expansion! Already looking forward to the next 10 years at HW, well sort of, I'll be 30 by then..
  5. One of my other thoughts exactly. Oh don't worry, I'm sure somebody will post in the next 5 days talking about how B&M's are too expensive, or how can HW afford such a price tag.
  6. ^ I'm with you on the on a immelman/dive loop following the launch, which will put the rides into the flying position, then I think it will be followed by a zero-G roll in that second clearing by the Voyage. That's how I sort of seeing this thing playing out with typical B&M elements. On a side note, if this is a flyer, I wonder if it will have a dual station? Also, if you're launched backwards, I wonder if B&M will take the swinging mechanism out of the train and have you board lying down? You would think that would take a ton of weight out of the train and allow the train to perform some more forceful elements.

  8. ^ Maybe, but Dynamic Attractions doesn't have a proven design if I'm reading correctly (they haven't built one yet, so that is why I'm saying that). No matter what this is, B&M has a proven design in the track, and in the trains. It doesn't matter if it is a launch, the technology available now should make it very reliable. It will probably have a few hiccups starting out, but what launched coaster hasn't? Now the launch isn't what will make this thing unique. Even a regular launched flyer isn't that unique. As I said before, what I think will make this ride unique is the fact that the you'll be launched backwards while facing the sky in those flyer trains. That is definitely over the top crazy and fits what HW does to a tee. I'm now 100% convinced this is what it's going to be, which means I also think/and still think the teal track at the B&M plant is for HW. Edit: I know this is a little late, but I just thought about this. That clue that had something to do with cake pops, didn't cake pops originate somewhere in medieval Europe, maybe near Switzerland? Which would indicate B&M since they're Swiss? I know Bastille Day is a French holiday, but I thought I just throw that out there.
  9. ^ This would be the week to get to the plant if HW is getting a B&M. Should be able to tell what is getting ready to be shipped. From what I can tell, they send everything on flatbed trailers within the United States.
  10. ^ Not quite, Paula has said on here that they plan on posting a blog explaining what each clue for the 66 days journal meant after the announcement. Not to say I called this first, but I did suggest it a few pages back...
  11. ^ They've poured a pit and then built a box like structure for one footer on one side and then it looks like they will do the same on the other side starting on Monday. After they're done with that, they'll fill the rest of the pit up with concrete. Just my observation, but it appears there will be some high forces in this area.
  12. ^ Yeah I watched them pour that one yesterday, which is why I know it is pretty big, but the two they're digging today seem to be bigger.
  13. I hate to double post, but anybody who has doubted the size and price of this project should go to the construction webcam and look how massive the footers they poured yesterday are and look at how big the ones they're digging today. You can only sort of see one of the footers they poured yesterday, as there is a pile of dirt sitting in front of it right now. These footers are coming straight out of the first opening by The Voyage.
  14. ^ The first two or three weeks the clues went live around 5 a.m. and after that, I believe everything was posted after 10 a.m.
  15. Edit: didn't look before I posted. The Youtube video I posted was already on here.
  16. ^ I don't really feel like doing the math in my head, but I believe she is timing it out where the final clue/answer will be given out on day 67 at 8:30 p.m. I could be wrong though.
  17. I think it is far fetched, but I don't think it is impossible either. If it does happen, I guarantee it would be a request from HW to B&M and not a proposal from B&M to HW. If you don't think it is more than a family coaster, then you're oblivious to everything that is going on. You don't hype the announcement of a major attraction for 66 days and bill it has the biggest announcement ever ( park tweeted it yesterday), then announce a family coaster.
  18. Gotchya. Ok, I can see the curve a little. But that leaves me with a conundrum. That leaves the red track with Carowinds, and why would they make their giga the same color as their mega? IDK, Im still thinking somethings not adding up. As convinced as I was that HW was getting a B&M launch of a non invert non flyer, Im starting wonder. Obviously the footers at HW are for a B&M, but their placement looks not to be for a flyer or invert. But obviously Carowinds isnt getting the teal, leaving them with the red and they already have a large red coaster. Im thinking the red is for HW, teal is for an unknown project, and Carowinds hasnt been seen yet..... at least this is what Im hoping. The red and white track is going to Europe for two dive coaster being built for next year (white for sure and red more than likely). They haven't started production on the giga track yet or are just now starting it. I'm convinced the teal is for HW (I could be wrong), unless another color of track has popped up since the last round of pictures were taken.
  19. ^ The curve is pretty obvious, and it is also in the yellow track. That track is going to China for the B&M flyer that the Wanda Group is building.
  20. ^^ Look at the teal track in this photo Then compare it to this piece of Banshee track
  21. ^ The rail ties are designed differently on almost every style of B&M to handle the forces. The rail ties on the teal track are consistent with those found on inverted/flyer coasters.
  22. ^ Hey, you never know. A launch like the one I'm proposing would be over the top, which fits HW to a tee. I believe it would be a worlds first, which would make it very marketable. I'm not saying I want a flyer, but it certainly fits the evidence. The campaign photos HW has used for the 66 days at sea campaign use the main color of teal, there is teal colored track sitting at the B&M plant for a invert or flyer, and there have been several references to birds and flying in the journal. HW is receiving their first shipment on the 25th and that is not a whole lot of time to for the B&M plant to put out a new track that we haven't seen, especially if they still have to produce track for a giga coaster. HW's track has to be part of what is already sitting in the yard.
  23. Let me clarify what I'm saying, you'll be launched in this position. That would cause that section of track to have normal supports for non-inverted track.
  24. You're forgetting that you could be launched backwards and lying down on a Flyer, which would make that normal track in that section
  25. ^ Even if you do see the layout, you won't know if it's going to be forceful or not. A lot of people doubted Banshee based on the layout and look how that turned out. Don't judge a ride until you ride it. Obviously people from HW read this thread, they see and hear what we say about every manufacturer, if it is on here or even at the coaster enthusiast events. They've taken our consideration into account when designing The Legend, and Voyage. I expect it to be no different on this ride. If you think about it, they design the ride for us, we're the ones who mostly vote on all the polls, "Golden Tickets", "Mitch Hawker", ext. If the rides cater to out liking, we vote them up in the polls and bring the park all kinds of recognition, in which they are able to turn around and advertise to the GP, and boast that they have for example, the number #1 wooden roller coaster in the planet. I'm actually surprised that they haven't advertised that The Raven and Voyage have held the title has the #1 wooden roller coasters on the planet longer than any other wooden coasters on the planet when it comes to the Golden Tickets. That is whole another story though. Anyways, this creates an aura around the ride, and makes people wanna drive all the way to Santa Claus, Indiana and ride it. That then creates an aura that spills into the waterpark. Not only do they have one of the best trios of wooden coasters on the planet, they also arguably have the two best water rides on the planet sitting right next to one another. Their ability to build marketable rides and take advantage of the rides marketability, coupled with their great value they offer is the main reason why they have been successful and will continue to be successful no matter how much competition the park has around them.
