  1. Not sure if this has been discussed, but at around the 1min mark, is that the first ever or one of gthe first everon ride pov videos to be made?
  2. ^ I've heard that the inverts are really intense, & that's a good thing... I like my rides nice and intense, filled with high Gs... Not just airtime.
  3. I am quoting a post from a year ago as I finally got to witness this form of drop tower. My first ride I did not expect much, just a shorter Drop Tower ride. Once I realized how quick you drop as soon as you reach the top (there is no hesitation, just instant drop) and how you can't see how close to the top you are, I got nervous. Yes, the drop caught me off guard and it feels like this may actually be an accelerated freefall as I actually had ejector air as opposed to just floating on the Intamin towers... In the end, a stubby 70' tower won over the world's tallest drop tower. Yes, I just said that. Well, this is really getting me excited for the fair next year... the local midway provider owns one of these drop towers, but I have never gotten the chance to ride one of these. As for your comment on the accelerated freefall, as far as I know, the ARM/Larson version of the ride doesn't have one.... it just falls. HOWEVER, the Fabri version (I.E. Determinator at Thorpe Park) does use such technology. Speaking of rides with accelerated freefalls, that brings me to my first of my two favourite drop towers... Space Shot at Galaxyland in Edmonton. Despite the name, the ride is actually an S&S double shot, which offers some crazy ejector airtime at the top of the tower. Another interesting feature with the ride is that it's indoors, which almost gives a false sense of security... I certainly know I wasn't expecting it! As I said before, however, i could not decide a winner, so this brings me to my second top choice. Drop Zone (now Drop Tower) at Canada's Wonderland. This ride is essentially the opposite of the previous one... offering a long, slow buildup as they bring you up to the 230' level, and offers great floater air on the way down... Further widening the gap between the rides, while the Galaxyland version is fun, with a small bit of intensity, this ride is all out intense. It's probably still the only ride that scares me a bit, and the whole ride just seems really menacing... idk why, but maybe the ride just looks really intimidating because I grew up going to that park when it was the largest ride there, and everyone was scared to go on it. Totally agree with this... Love intamin towers for the suspense, and the fact that its a pure free fall with great floater air, but also love the smaller S&S towers for their crazy ejector air after the launch. Also, for people who are saying TOT at Disney, how much airtime do you actually get?... Is it a much as an intamin or S&S tower?
  4. Not sure if this has been posted already, but here it is. What's your favorite style of b&m coaster and why? For me, I'll have to say b&m hypers/gigas, as they're the only style of b&m I've been on, but I'm sure that will change this summer as I'm going to a few parks with b&m inverts.
  5. Then more families and younger children would come (most of them gp), and the park would be even more overcrowded for us enthusiasts. What if A ride themed to The Last of Us (Video Game) was built?
  6. So, is anyone lookin forward to GTA 5 and bf4?.. I sure am
  7. Yes I do.. The blue supports on most b&ms, like the superman coasters, and those on behemoth at Canada's wonderland and Goliath at la ronde look really nice and compliments the track well. Do you believe the color orange is overused on b&m hypers?
  8. I've heard mention on this thread of a b&m dive coaster & a b&m gig, and thought, wouldn't it be sick to have a b&m giga-dive coaster?.. Idk if b&m would ever do it, but you never know... They' e already built a giga (something they repeatedly said they wouldn't do), and they have some pretty tall@$$ dive coasters in Shikra and griffon. Idk... Just a thought. PS: as for the whole giga and mega in the same park deal, I can see why CP would do it, as they're all about breaking world records (or at least when they built their gig and mega), & I can see why CW would do it as IMO CF is kinda turning them into the CP of Canada, only with B&ms instead of intamin a. But with that said, idk why they'd do it at king's island... Maybe it's a Cf thing?... & I guess it kinda makes sense, as with Beast and SOB, they did that with woodies. Again, just another random thought, take it how you like.
  9. ^Wow... Tht sucks Worst for me was when I fell skateboarding and almost broke my leg.
  10. What about the airtime on the "top-hat" over the loop.. Is there any?... I noticed trims & stuff, & was wondering if the ending was as anti-climactic as it looked on YouTube.
  11. Just wondering, how smooth is the ride?... is it rougher like their older rides or is it smoother like S: UF or Skyrocket @ Kennywood?
