  1. Yup I noticed today they changed their online schedule from this weekend to next. Thanks for the confirmation though! Not a surprise, I saw it coming when they changed the wording of their emails
  2. If you go through events tab on their site the old hurricane harbor event is listed as opening this weekend but if you click the hurricane harbor event on the homepage you get the "opening soon" listing. Maybe it'll be open! If not my membership has $10 whitewater tickets this weekend so I might use them
  3. Yeah might do that, I used to go to whitewater anyways or I might just spend all three days on the coasters haha. I just always plan a trip there over memorial day weekend and gotta keep it going!
  4. Anyone have any news on hurricane harbor? All previous emails, plus the park calendar have it opening this weekend BUT their site and the new email sent out today list it as "opening soon" and "in time for summer" with no date? I have a room booked for this weekend to spend the entire weekend and was hoping it would be open! I'll be kind of bummed if it isn't open. Just curious if any locals have heard anything
  5. I hope its open memorial day I plan on spending the entire weekend in Atlanta for six flags and hurricane harbor
  6. I'd love a water coaster, Dollywood has one at splash country and its awesome. I plan to spend a lot more time at six flags water park though BC its included with admission
  7. That's good I did read where last year the 2013 passes in Texas included it. I had also read that in Texas they did it like Dollywood and if u purchases a pass during the Christmas event it was good during the 2014 season, so this year as well. Dunno if they will do that here in GA but a good idea if they do especially for people who don't have a pass by then
  8. Hopefully more rides are open now. From what I read about the parks that tested it last year (Texas and California) most of the rides where open if they could be ran in the cold (cold really only affected Texas)
  9. I'm pretty excited about this. Going to have to schedule a weekend to head down to GA this Christmas
  10. From what I have read about the six flags parks that did it last year, most of the rides are open. I foubd a page from Texas saying if the temp is high enough all the coasters and rides ran. I know Dollywood temp is 40 for most coasters and 36 for the rest of the coasters. Flats are in like the 20's I believe. I think the ride makers make the low temp
  11. I bet it does say North Pole to for Christmas event.
  12. Six flags in Texas just calls it holiday in the park haha Sfog has never done a Christmas event to my knowledge so it would be nice if they did. I would sure go!!! Usually go to Dollywood twice a year for Christmas. Magical time in theme parks!! Several years ago fright fest was only at a few six flags now its at all.. Last yr holiday at the park was only at 3 six flags maybe its expanding like fright fest. If so I hope its successful and becomes a yearly thing.
  13. It would be neat if they had a Christmas event like Dollywood does.
  14. I think this is close BC the survey did act like it was coming soon
  15. they had a survey a few weeks ago talking about a game pass (season pass for games) and something that sounded like a fresh healthy restaurant. In both surveys it asked if I would be interested if it started this year. Could be one of those even though a ride would be awesome
  16. I personally just find ninja very rough but don't find it a bad coaster by any means. I think it is very fun to ride.
  17. Got a new survey today. Looks like six flags might be toying with two things. Fresh fast food, probably something healthy from all the questions and then a game pass type season pass for games. First survey I have received since the fingerprint scanner survey from last year and it became reality
  18. Cyclone has a ton of airtime in the back seat. If the bars ever fail on that coaster it'll throw you out haha. I love the cyclone!!
  19. Oh and I purchased a Dollywood hoodie last year but that was planned. A very warm day in November but it got down to low 40's after 3. We knew that was going to happen but didn't want to carry a hoodie with us all day so we decided to just buy them when and if we got cold. Ended up making it until 5 or 6 before we got them
  20. I don't really buy coaster shirts but I do buy special event shirts. Last year I purchased a shirt from Dollywood great american summer, six flags celebration (was purchased more BC it had all the band names on the back and six flags on the front) and then a fright fest shirt from six flags. Mainly BC we decided to stay an extra day and I needed more clothes lol
  21. Coasters will run in light rain I was in the rain there last year and they never shut down coasters. Wind picked up and they shut a few rides for an hour or so but it was just a cold rainy day.
  22. I sent six flags an email about this as one of the perks of membership is the lack of processing the pass every year. My membership bar code linked to the new site and already had my 2014 coupons but my question to them was if I had to get a new card without a picture and have my print processed or if they can just use my old card and process the scan at the gate. I hope I don't have to wait at the season pass processing center. That wait really is why I got a membership and not season pass.
  23. Depending on how tired I am the closest I have came to a greyout is Tennessee tornado during the second loop of the double loops. None of the other coasters I have ever been on even come close to making me have one. Tornado doesn't most of the time it really just depends on the temp and how tired I am I believe. I normally sit towards the back but usually not in the back seat
  24. Those pictures look a little old.. It seemed they had moved a lot further on the project when I was there for frightfest.. from the screammachine it even looked kind of like they had already dug the big area for the wave pool..
  25. For those that say Dollywood is a nightmare to get into there are several routs you can take from sevierville that bypass pigeon forge. I take them all the time and come in from the backside of veterans blvd For me going to SFOG is a nightmare because I always hit atlanta traffic. That is why I always stay at one of the hotels beside six flags. Yes, most are older but I don't have to fight traffic everyday. There also seem to be a few confusing exits I have to pass heading to sfog
