  1. Big Bend 1980/Closed around 1989 This coaster was never installed/operated in the Park. I believe it just sat in the Boneyard.
  2. If Medusa is anything, or close to, like Kraken then I would be stoked to have it at STL. Kraken is an awesome floorless at Seaworld Orlando
  3. Not I, I would have thought they are saving their pennines for something good for 2014/2015. This Boomerang makes no sense to me. Although it adds more 'stuff' to our Skyline. and at least it is not Black or White.
  4. I like Grumpy Cat.. As folks head down I-44, pass Eureka, and drive towards Silver Dollar City - Grumpy Cat will stare your down. Should be SFSTL's mascot for 2013.
  5. The good news is by August it should be a walk-on ... indefinately.
  6. Looks like those large footers will be in the middle of the pathway. Folks can choose to either go under the coaster or around it. All the Rides on the top of the hill appear taller and bigger than they really are. SFSTL has taken advantage of that during the past few years. The Screamin' Eagle looks like a Monster from the Parking Lot, being on the highest point of the park probably adds other 50+ feet to the lift hill from the Parking Lot/ticket booths. ...Same is true for S:TOP & SS
  7. I would love to see the Boss get the RMC makeover.
  8. It looks really good, wish it was a bit longer though.
  9. You are right, the Ninja's footprint is small but there is plenty of Spillover to the East of that site, over the Train Tracks and south of the Graveyard. Plenty of room for Medusa or something similar.
  10. I hope you are right, the Ninja's self life is over here. I would like to see it replaced with Medusa from Great Adventure, or anything substantial for that matter.
  11. The 'Sanford and Son' of Coaster Parts ... ha. Talk about a Boneyard.
  12. Whoever did that artwork doesn't know SFSTL very well.
  13. Thanks for the update Zip. As far as Boomerangs go, at least ours may be more picturesque than the others. Steve
  14. I hear you can see the coaster from I-44 now. Anyone with Pics out there? Curouis to see how the Skyline will change.
  15. Maybe it will be some sorta 'Zombie Run/Obstacle Course' type of thing. Sounds strange for an amusement park.
  16. News Report/Video - http://kplr11.com/2013/02/11/six-flags-installing-new-roller-coaster-for-summer/
  17. Thanks for the Update SFZIP. The landscaping, placement of the coaster does sound very cool. ...and I like how the pathway will go under the Cobra Roll. Has it been confirmed the coaster is using the old train or will we get a new one?
  18. ...retrofit a cockscrew element where the bunny hills are now then a dive into the double helix! that would be awesome.
  19. I really don't think attractions from neighboring parks plays any role in the future strategy of SFSTL (as mentioned Boomerang, Pandenomium). Plus, it is clear that SF is trying to capitalize (squeeze every drop of life) on their current attractions either by relocation or redesigning and improvement . So breathing new life into Park's Signature coaster via Iron Horse has better chance of happening than getting something new. ...Plus, if done right, the Boss would be 10x's better than it is now and we can finally get rid of those 'G' trains.
  20. I think our best bet is getting the Iron Horse treatment for the Boss... I have lost all hope on any custom steel coaster being built for our park - hyper or otherwise. Maybe getting Medusa is still an viable option too... to replace Ninja.
  21. Yes and No... back then SF did way too much, way too fast. They crammed 10 years of park growth into just a few years which is not a solid business strategy. I believe in the theory 'if you build it, they will come'. Why do people drive far distances to go to places like Cedar Point, King's Island, etc? because they have awesome coasters. And by the way all that coaster building that went down then in the late 90's - 2000's... well SFSTL again got the short end of the stick. We got The Boss and were screwed out of a Hyper which ended up in Altanta. You all may debate me on these opinions but I think that's pretty close to the truth. A used Boomerang will not bring attendance up... A massive B&M steel giant would.
  22. That's good, since SFSTL isn't going to listen to you anyway. ...and Corp doesn't listen to SFSTL. They just do the best they can with what Corp gives them each year, and watch as other parks get the Loin's share.
  23. I just hope Flashback will not ruin the majesty of the Eagle's Lift.
