  1. The removal of the double up and addition of the banked turns were probably to ease the stress on the structure and keep maintenance low. They probably figured ~ 95% of the folks wouldn't care or miss it - we are the other ~ 5%.
  2. One heck of a flying machine it shall be!
  3. Makes more sense to put the Jr. Coaster around Bugs Bunny Land. If they tear down Screamin' Eagles first queue house (no longer used) and use the surrounding space wisely it would provide enough room for something custom.
  4. The Boss at SFSTL. Coaster would be amazing with a full Iron Horse rehab, but Topper Track would be an good investment as well.
  5. I rode the Rail Blazer once or twice back in the early 80's. It wasn't too exciting and rather boring. For those who didn't have the opportunity, don't feel like you missed out on anything special. *yawn*
  6. It's gonna be an awesome ride! No doubt about it
  7. This is why SF should pick up Led Zeppe/Time Machine for SFSTL. They can get it at a Fire Sale price, SFSTL would be a perfect relocation for it.
  8. The Ninja's shelf life here in STL is way past due. Next please.
  9. I haven't been on our Dark ride in years, how bad of shape is it in these days? Guess it is a good testament to sfstl maintenance staff keeping those old barges afloat for 40 plus years.
  10. 2 majors and a 2 minors: 1. RMC treatment to the Boss 2. A Modern Steel Coaster to replace the Ninja. a. Extend the Moon Car layout, Rehab Queue, Theming, and Landscaping. b. Bring the Bumper Cars back! Not the old ones, brand new bldg and vehicles ...a park without Bumper Cars is like a Fast Food joint that doesn't serve French Fries.
  11. Yeah, I get it. Hard Rock is a good example of that but it can't really be compared to SFSTL. The park has a 40 year history now and isn't going anywhere. Yes there is risk but in STL's case I believe, if done right, would pay off. They keep throwing money at ie. Magic Mountain, Great Adventure. Those parks are full of top tier rides, adding another high dollar install won't change attendance at this point, nor would it be appreciated as much here in STL. Spread the love a bit I say.
  12. I have always been a firm believer in 'If You Build They Will Come' opposed to 'If You Come Then They Will Build It'. I have been waiting for at least 10 years for that to happen. The park needs attention, they are too many other parks around STL that folks can road trip to rather then settling on SFSTL. SDC, WOF, Kings Island, SFGA, and Holiday World are all within reach ... if you really don't mind driving then add Cedar Point. The recent additions (SkyScreamer, Water Park Rides) are fine but their coaster selection is hurting. Boomerang was the Nail that killed it for me. That needs to be rectified before I buy another ticket to SFSTL. I used to be a Season Pass holder, not anymore. Sorry.
  13. I would guess Attendance and Revenue is probably very consistent from year to year. A steady profit but not a Cash Cow.
  14. Sounds like most of time the fate of SFSTL hinges upon a flip of the coin or maybe a heated game of 'Rock, Paper, Scissors'.
  15. I agree completely with this sentence. I think the Boss was supposed to 'That' coaster but unforunately it failed to deliver. It's not The Beast of '79 nor The Voyage of '06.
  16. Well, it's better than the Ninja and cheaper than a brand new B&M installation. SFSTL loves them hand-me-downs
  17. With the sale of all the Hard Rock Park rides, I love to see Led Zepp/Time Machine end here someday, replacing the Ninja of course. I think it would fit where the Ninja is now with the Cobra roll by ex-Mine Train station/Haunted House. It may have to go over some of the pathways, but I like that sorta thing.
  18. The Boss isn't that much better. American Thunder was chosen just because of the Motorcycle props from the original Evel Knevel theming (which by the way was also lame).
  19. I look at it like this... would anyone even build a park in RC3 (or any theme park sim) that would resemble anything like SFSTL? probably not imo. It seems too random and not much thought behind it all. The names, variety of rides, the Moon Cars! Sorta a big mess if you ask me. Just my 2 cents. Just so you know what page I am on ... Six Flags Great America and KIng's Island are two well balanced parks in my opinion.
  20. Probably be difficult to hire folks during the winter time. And Branson is more of a vacation destination. Sorta Apples and Oranges
  21. Staring at the approach into the loop, won't they have to dig a trench? just doesn't look to me there is enough clearance. Personally I like trenches (ie. Montu). Fill it with a generous dose of fog and add some cool lighting effects, it would be very cool indeed.
  22. ...ask Six Flags St. Louis. imo, Yes
  23. ...wish that could be there as a permanent feature.
  24. Awesome news! Great move by CF. Love to see a tunnel added or something like that. They are, it is in the announcement.
  25. Retheming Flight Deck to The Bat would be an awesome move. Hope it happens.
