  1. I'm done trying to guess what this new ride will be. But after reading through those HoliBlogs and other things posted on here, we know these few things about the ride: -It will be a steel coaster. -It will be technologically advanced and a first of its kind. -It will have a $22 million price tag. -It will be awesome, because it's at Holiday World, where they never settle for anything less than amazing.
  2. You can tell the image isn't flipped because the signs aren't backwards.
  3. Honestly, a Justice League dark ride would be the best new addition to the park in years. Hoping this is what is coming in 2015. But Scooby-Doo would need to close before Fright Fest in order for this to happen.
  4. Is now mentioned by waterfront. Are their really enough population that is vegetarian for them to have a vegetarian restaurant? Chicken strips can't be called chicken strips if they don't have actual chicken in them I'd say there are more vegetarians and vegans out there than you'd think. This is probably a smart movie for the park since vegetarians don't have many other options at the park.
  5. Looks like Vekoma track to me. And since they are the creators of Gravity Max which has a similar tilt drop (except for Gravity Max's is completely vertical and a lot taller), it leads me to believe Vekoma is the track manufacturer. Has Intamin ever manufactured track of that style, though?
  6. I have just a few questions about my visit to the park next Thursday: -How should crowds be on a Thursday? -Will Flash Pass be needed? (Will most rides have around an hour wait?) -Is Goliath's single rider line open whenever it's line gets long? Or is it just whenever the ride ops feel like opening it? Thanks
  7. It was down a lot of last season because they needed a part but they fixed it up and every time I've visited this season it's been up.
  8. That definitely confirms that Iron Boss isn't coming next year. I'm guessing it'll be some type of water park ride, but then again we just got a new water ride this year. Maybe something similar to Extreme Supernova at Great Escape or Demon at La Ronde? I wouldn't complain about either, a new thrilling flat ride of any type would be cool. Edit: Forgot about Excalibur. So maybe a ride like Extreme Supernova wouldn't be the best addition. However, a top spin like Demon would be pretty cool.
  9. I figured out the clue! Bastille is the name of a rock band who's biggest hit so far is "Pompeii". Pompeii was devastated by a volcano, so the new ride will be a clone of Volcano at Kings Dominion. Only this time, each rider will have cake pops thrown at them to add another element of excitement. The volcano will have animatronic turkeys on it to match the themeing of the Thanksgiving area. In all seriousness, I can't wait until the announcement. Holiday World has been pumping up enthusiasts for months and I have no doubt in my mind that this new coaster will be spectacular.
  10. Because every new addition to Magic Mountain must either break a record and/or add to the coaster count.
  11. Go to Holiday World. It is far better than Kentucky Kingdom, and even though Lightning Run is awesome, The Voyage is still better. The Legend and Raven are spectacular as well. Plus, being there for the announcement will be an unforgettable experience. Kentucky Kingdom is still getting back on their feet so I'd wait to visit until they have a few more rides.
  12. It's probably something like SFSTL has. The hayride was converted so you all sit facing the outside and shoot mounted paintball guns at targets and "zombies" who are just men in all black. They apparently had a hard time recruiting the live actors, because we only encountered 4 during our 15 minute long hayride. It was pretty lame, so I hope SFGAD doesn't get a similar attraction.
  13. Nothing screams BIG, GIANT STEEL COASTER like "Passenger Pigeon: The Ride".
  14. I think the tilt tracks (or trick track as what Maurer Shönecalls) on Winjas also count. And from what I've heard, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts also has a tilt track section at the beginning.
  15. Since 1999, Universal Studios Florida has added a new coaster exactly every 5 years: 1999- Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster 2004- Revenge of the Mummy 2009- Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit 2014- Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
  16. I hope the one receiving the name change is Mantis. I don't particularly like the name and the paint scheme is pretty hideous. I really doubt that they are going to change the trains, but they could surprise me.
  17. They'll probably just keep rotating it around the chain.
  18. Are there any rides at Cedar Point that are planned on getting a repainting next year? If so, they could paint it the team colors of the Cavaliers and rename it "King James".
  19. Since the park lets guests in 40 minutes early to get in line for Goliath, does anyone know when the toll booths to the parking lot open?
  20. Wicked Twister Gerstlauer spinning coaster
  21. Iron Wolf @ SFGAm (now Apocalypse @ SFA) RMC Topper Track Coaster
  22. I don't see how this ride couldn't be completely insane. I mean, I know High Roller was at a higher height and turned out to be lame, but this one is going to have inversions and it's going to be designed by Alan Schilke. I can't wait to ride.
  23. I mean, I get that a Speedo might be a little too revealing for a family water park, but calling the guy "queer" and threatening to arrest him was completely out of line. Simply asking him to change into a different swimsuit would've been the better choice.
