Says who? With the exception of Greeted potentially due to parts, rehabbing wooden coasters isn't by any means impossible, and it would be WAY cheaper than building new ones. As for needing to start painting now to open next June, I can't imagine it would take a full year to paint. It doesn't take a full year to build a huge ride when they put enough people on it, and you would hire painters as outside contractors. Honestly, they could open within three months or less of figuring everything out. It depends on how fast management wants to go and can afford to go - or not go. I think it would take longer than three months to remove all imposing plants and weeds, repaint pretty much every ride and fix them up, rehab the wooden coasters if needed, get new trains for Twisted Sisters, test the rides, clean up the trails, fix up the food stands, etc. Lots of stuff needs to be done to fix the park. Yes, it can be done by next summer, but not if they start later than September/October, and that would still be pushing it.

Rock N Roller Coaster has much more themeing than the Dark Knight. And it is much more thrilling than Dark Knight. Dark Knight is not "horrible". But many people were hoping that this ride was going to help Six Flags start moving from amusement parks to theme parks, and this did not happen. Who cares though, there is a great roller coaster next door to ride.

I don't believe it will open in the springtime. I'd say the earliest it could open is late June/early July. It doesn't look like any new major attractions will be added until 2015. The park will open with a kids coaster, flat rides, and possibly the inverted coaster. The wooden coasters and Greezed Lightnin' are not ever going to be run again from what I hear. The park needs to be cleaned and repainted. The process needs to be started in July to get the park running next year.

I don't get all the hate that these rides get, but last I checked the trains were themed, the ride had a bunch of stuff in it that was themed, and the queue line after the pre-show was also themed... heck, even before the pre-show there was some, although minor, theming. I actually love some of the tiny details they pulled off in the queue line for the theming. The only major misstep that I think that it had was that the preshow is a little too intense for the little ones, and then the ride itself isn't. I don't think you could run it in the dark without trouble. While I like rides in the dark, a mouse with it's quick turns probably wouldn't be very comfortable. As for the pre-show, depending on the amount of people there, I've seen them not running it before. I'd wait to see if it doesn't run for a few weeks or more in a row before declaring it dead. The reason these rides get the hate is because their whole point was to be a themed enclosed roller coaster. The themeing is pretty much a Batman statue and neon "HAHA"'s all over the ride. The themed queue led up to a very disappointing ride. So with mediocre themeing on the ride, you lose the entire point of the attraction.

I also like the left side. But I think it is cheaper for them to run one side though. I'd love for some racing between the logs! I went this past week and saw logs on the track on that side, so maybe sometime this summer both will run!

The preshow was confusing, but it was the only themed part of the attraction. I vote remove all the lights, sounds, and themeing and make it pitch black. Rename it "Black Hole" or something.

My dad and I got a free one day pass to IoA and are buying a one day pass to the Studios that we will use on the same day. We are going to also get a two-park one-day express pass. Is that allowed?

So the only way to get unlimited Express is to get a two-day park hopper ticket?

I don't think we will see anything in that area soon. SFGAm will probably get a SkyScreamer next year.

I guess it would be the same at all Six Flags parks (I get this info from SFSTL) When the gates to the park open at like 10:15 or so and everybody lines up at the ropes, Gold Pass holders can enter the park at 10:20 while everyone else is still waiting, and all attractions will be running.

The plan was to dash to Harry Potter in the morning because that is the only ride without Express. Then we would tour the must see rides at IoA and head over to the Studios for the afternoon and night but my sister and grandparents would leave so it would be just my dad and I at the Studios that night. How do you get an Express Pass that can be used unlimitedly?

Why does it cost less to get an annual pass if you live in Florida? If you lived outside Florida, you wouldn't make it down as often as you would if you lived in the area, so why does Disney charge you more?

I rode Iron Wolf in 2010 and is #11 on my list of 27 steel coasters I've ridden. I honestly didn't think it was too rough, but it wasn't that special to me. Raging Bull is the only steel coaster I've ridden that completely blew me away.

I am hoping to make it out to the park this Saturday and Sunday. Is there a line to be led to Outlaw Run when it opens or is it just run there when the drop the rope?

Penguins hardly pose a threat to humans, no matter how small the children are. I've been to many aquatic shows where penguins come out and roam around the aisles. At the St. Louis Zoo the glass is only six inches above the water, and there are no jumper penguins. SeaWorld should either just have a trainer there 24/7 in case this happens or replace the glass to make it higher overnight sometime soon. I am really hoping this net is just temporary.

Robb, is there anyway to watch Insane Coaster Wars online? Or is there a DVD copy? If not, are reruns aired often?

Something on Screamscape said something about the Optimus Prime statue moving and talking? Was that just a rumor or is it true?
