Conversely, I had a great time at Fright Fest last year. Even enjoyed the magic show at the big theater.

Yeah, as much as I LOVE new rolly coasters, I definitely think that area there needs to be the focus of the next year or two at GAdv. Hopefully, that is their thought as well, and JL is just the first step in really revitalizing, and reclaiming that area as useful, and attractive park space! Keep in mind this area has been closed off for years! Almost since the Chiller was taken out. If JL is a hit they may add more and more back there. I was looking at the history website, and it looks like that area used to be packed. Water ride, bumper cars, space ship...and obviously the 2 or 3 different shows they had.

There's already a Flash ride at SFMM so it could happen. Theres also all the potential CW tie ins.

I think Six Flags has missed the boat on the huge popularity of comic book movies in the past decade. Wonder Woman is burning up the charts, and Six Flags has done...??? Just putting "Batman" on every ride doesn't mean a whole lot. I think they should look into bringing back some of the live shows. And has SF ever done "meet and greets" with the real actors? While Disney has a fake Captain Sparrow in their park every day, Johnny Depp shows up twice a year

Im really happy to read that Six Flags went all out with this ride, ESPECIALLY the queue. I hope it's a sign of things to come. SF used to make nice themed lines (see Batman), and then regressed to county-fair standard switchbacks. I think it really makes a difference in how people see the chain. Disney of course makes sure every queue is a serious part of the ride experience.

I like the munchopolis name. I also like that they put in real water fountains and not the nasty ones around the park

What does all day mean? -You can open the fluffy only once, but keep it all day vs 2 hours -You can return to the same fluffy throughout the day -You can use fluffies throughout the park all day (1 at a time) allowing you to tranfser your stuff to the most convenient location There is nothing that explains which of these options the fluffy is offering you It is really option 3 I want. I was with my gf who insisted on a purse, so we had to rent one at every ride.

The biggest issue with the fluffies is: 1) There is one payment kiosk for 200 fluffies. It is a bottleneck. 2) You have to do it for every ride. I would be much happier to use the fluffies if I didnt have to go through the payment process 5 times. Hell, it doesnt even make sense for Six Flags. They're spending credit card transaction fees 6 times instead of once. Let me pay $5 once for an all day fluffy pass and then have a second express kisok where I can get a specific fluffy for every ride I go by. Additionally, there is an option for "all day fluffy" within the kiosk but it is confusing so I doubt anyone uses it.

Yes glasses are allowed in the lines of all rides, and there are special boxes marked "glasses" next to the souvenier drink holders (which are also allowed in line). It would be ridiculous if six flags banned people from wearing their glasses! When I was there 2 weeks ago, people in Ka were being kicked out of line if they had a phone. So you can sneak in an item, but if you bring it out of your pocket, goodbye.

Ahem. I was just thinking about that the other day. This area of the park is usually dead. The theater is always dead, and the stunt area is always dead. Except during Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park. Putting another indoor ride there is genius because those are great for all weather. I think Six Flags needs to add two more attractions to this area -An all-weather water ride. AKA, your Disney boat ride. You know the type, Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, and just opening last week, the Avatar boat trip. Add some water spray during the hot months, use fire stuff in the cold months. -A high quality enclosed restaurant. Well, high quality by six flags standards. Again, an all-year area. in the summer, A/C, in the winter, fire places.Top it off by placing an adults retreat on the second floor overlooking the area. Im thinking ski-lodge type place. Half indoor, half outdoor. Bar, couches, fire-pits for winter, misters for summer. It amazes me every time I go skiing that the lodges are packed with people who drove hours just to drink and lounge. Im thinking the second floor would have an outdoor area like this, but overlooking the plaza rather than the mountains. RE: Logs Six Flags Montreal is getting rid of theirs

Went on Friday and it was a fantastic decision. Kingda Ka would have been a 20 minute wait, but it broke (twice). Hour wait. Toro? After riding we pulled into the station....and literally not a single person was waiting. Not one. Nobody got off and we went again. Superman? We rode with 3 other people total. Drop of Doom VR was great actually. Glad I could experience.

Wait, what? Why would they implement it for only a month? Didnt it require the construction of a storage area and charging bays? Ill be in the park tomorrow to give it a try. Anyone know if its running all day or just 3pm and later (as seen in a picture earlier in this thread).

Magic Mountain disagrees. Every park should have 7, maybe 8 distinct log rides.

Philly is less than an hour drive (or about 80 minutes via train). Rain = great day for a museum, and philly has many of them.

What are those? Edit: Im guessing bring a friend free I just wish there was a way to know before hand how many school buses were en route. I know a lot of people use memorial as a 4 day weekend, but Im surprised Six Flags fees like the Friday is worth such a late operation... Im tempted. Best rides are after 9pm anyway
