  1. The only ones I know of are directly outside of the main entrance gates on the right-hand side. Everything else in the park is "single-rider" design. It's actually not not that bad of a location (centralized), but it can be a bit of a pain to have to go through the hand-stamp entrance multiple times should you need to access it throughout the day. Unless it's something important that you would need to access at some point in the day and really can't carry it around with you, just leave it in the car. We are taking the bus
  2. Does the park have day-use lock.ers that allows you to open and close them throughout the day (ie, rather than the singl use ride ones). If so, and there are multiple choices, which one has the most strategic location?
  3. Is it generally recommended to hit the park on the left first? X2 and Tatsu? Or right towards Goliath and Full Throttle? Is there any optimal time for Superman, considering its all along up there?
  4. Ive been reading that the crowds were fairy large this past week. Ive been planning on going tomorrow. Sundays are usually a little quieter right? Also, whats a good place to check the wind forecast? I dont want to get there and have X2 be closed again, as it has been every time Ive visited the past 5 years...
  5. The $8 option sounds perfect, do you buy it at any locke-er group?
  6. Wait im confused. $13 for one time use, $8 for all day in and out?
  7. Any of you know about the day locke-er rentals? Do they allow in-out access through the day or is it once a done like the $1 ones? Whats the price for the day ones? And is there any ride that doesnt have a storage area for the souvenir cups where you cant take it on the ride either?
  8. Do they typically only close rides if theres lightening? What rides remain open if thats the case? Also.... I dont get this part: " Join us July 4 through 7 for a patriotic celebration, July 4th Fest presented by Coca-Cola, featuring exclusive ride time, live music, games, fireworks, prizes, and refreshing activities. " http://www.sixflags.com/greatAdventure/events/July4thfireworks.aspx But the description is 100% about the 4th.
  9. Cheapest place to buy it is in Mexico actually. You pay like $30 for an annual pass good at all parks. Havent been to any this year yet.
  10. Hm, interesting, so if Im willing to skip the fireworks, I can expect light crowds in the evening? Does six flags have fireworks? I meant that at magic mountain, theres usually a long line at the season pass hut, but you can skip it if you just need a picture instead of the whole processing.
  11. Whats the Superman equivalent in magic mountain? From the pictures, it looks like Tatsu. If I process online, can I just cut the park line to the picture portion? In magic mountain, if you process online you can enter the hut via the exit. So the $25 ticket has no blackout date correct? Is there a hidden shortcut to Kingdo Ka? Or is the path well marked? Any idea when the best time is for the safari? I dont want the animals to be asleep. How much time should I set aside, 2 hours including the line and ride?
  12. Hey folks, I need some advice! I havent been to this park in 20 years, Magic Mountain is my home park. That being said, I might be able to swing by on 4th of July weekend. I know, I know, hot and crowded. Not good. But when you dont have a choice..... So some questions! 1) Im pretty sure I want Great Adventure. Any reason to consider Hersey instead of? 2) As I mentioned, July 4th weekend.... would it be smart to assume the least crowded of those days would be the Friday (vs the 4th or Saturday). 3) If I were to buy a season pass, theyre still giving out the booklets right? 4) Does the booklet include a free ticket that can be used immediately? 5) Should I expect a wait at the season pass processing hut? Thanks!
  13. What was the capacity of the logs? Seems like a major capacity downgrade. Im also worried this roller coaster is going to hurt the lushness of the hill. As for themeing: A lot of the roller coaster is straight from the survey. Im thinking the backwards launch in the tunnel has to do with some kind of theme, maybe even an earthquake. IE: Tunnel is filled with fog. Train rushes in, stops. Noise + water make it seem like tunnel is collapsing, so train rushes out backwards. Onboard audio "we have no choice, we have to break through....YOLO!" Rush into the tunnel getting sprayed with water to simulate breaking through a wall. If there will be a new theme area, would be great to see some flat rides, something interactive light the toy story shooting ride (lights! sounds! energy!) and then something like indiana jones or spiderman 4d. And naturally, the theme concludes with the building of the worlds first fully underground roller coaster, which is 90% dark. Some kind of mine/rock and roll ride. Donkey Kong country theme perhaps? Look for it in 2215.
