  1. I too cant see this making thing significantly faster, yeah I can see how it will keep guest from seat picking, but with that's only one row at time can board, when the standard way allows all rows to be filled at once. IDK
  2. Well thinking about the condition Boomerang was in it had 24 years worth of filth on it, I guess it makes sense for it not to be shipped yet. They did a great job from what I see
  3. ^^ Flashback has not been shipped to St Louis yet. I see Yolo is not he only think taking forever.
  4. Anyone know if construction has moved foward with Sky Screamer
  5. Seems like the carnival ride is actually getting more respect that Yolo coaster
  6. This construction is really moving allong nicely its nice to cedar Point has not allowed the weather to slow down progress. I like that they are ripping the park lot instead of just placing the coaster on the parking lot
  7. wow... I know Objectum sexuality is serious and should be taking serious but I lost it. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time
  8. The general complaint about Yolo is that there is not more after the top hat. I wonder would anyone compalin if the top hat was 450'ft.
  9. Im sure whatever replacement for whatever ride will be something that everyone gonna complain about
  10. Judge Roy Scream is 71ft but the drop is only 65 ft. Its a good ride it would be better if it had more speed though
  11. Looks like they may top it off by the end of the week then. Love coaster cams. I know some of you guys think that it will be forceless. I think this may surprise us. The one thing I dont get with coaster is why the mid coarse brake's are there. All the ride does after it hits the breaks is just a one small helix then its over. I think it would be better suited if there was another element at the end.
  12. ^^^ That's true, but the US takes longer to do everything now. We have been left behind in so many thing. I think its a case of poor construction management. There's absolutly no reason a coaster this small, with the tunnel is already created, in sunny southern California, to take so long. I would not be surprised if Six Flags is trying run this construction site as they do there rides, save money by having few workers as possible.
  13. Hey guess, Happy Thanks Giving, Not sure if this is anything related to the construction or not. I passed by the park after leaving my moms house. I stopped at the Vallero across from the park for gas, and saw a city truck and 3 workers inspecting and marking some areas in front of the strip mall. Has there been any new talk or rumors regarding demolishing of the strip mall?
  14. 1. Dueling Dragons 2. Batman SFOT 3. Montu 4 Aplengiest 5. Raptor
  15. I've heard that there is work going on. Im assuming they meant ground work, I drove on Six Flags road on Tuesday to see if a crane or something large would be there. I saw nothing
  16. Please educate me on what a lift truss is? I see this coaster has the same color scheme as Blue Streak
  17. Nice to see construction pickup. and the complaints start in 5.... 4.... 3.... 2.... 1....
  18. ^^Well in that case the answer is no. I think its had to success of a park as more to do with quality, (ride line up having to be more than just a good hyper, convince, location and charm being a big one- which i dont think most parks lack.) and of coarse how well the park is advertised.
  19. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but SFFT has never has never has a hyper and its successful
  20. Did not think this thread would be around still, well my first Boomerang was Flashback SFoT, I was 11 when I first rode it. Back then Flashback was one of the more exciting rides, since there was no Titan, NTG, or Batman at the park at that point, and Mr. Freeze didn't come until the following season. When I first saw Flashback, maybe it was my 11 year old mind but I pictured it different (kinda delusional). For some reason I thought it was taller than it was and ran more than one circuit and the loop was before the cobra roll. The ride is not anything intense but the boarding experience is a bit terrifiyng when you see that train get released and rush past you. Even with the the old school Arrow/Vekoma trains, horse collar restraints in all. I never found it as rough as its reputation. Except for the cobra roll has some bad spots that will throw you around a bit. It would be kind of cool if a park would actually reverse the trains to see if it gives much of a different experience.
  21. What it coast to iron horse, they can build new coaster instead.
  22. I hope they actually theme this ride well. With a name like Gatekeeper I would expect some theming hopefully better than Lavaithan.
  23. Agreed and besides, the GP doesn't see this as being just a another Boomerang, so to say that it will contribute to decline in attendance is not true. Look at the advertisements for the ride. As far as the GP sees its as legit as any other new coaster. It will get bodies in the park at least one visit.
  24. Astroworld was completely shot for room. It would have taken way more than Ultra twister removal for room for a large coaster. Ultra Twister was okay ride and ubique. I would gave much rather seen Barman the standup go
  25. SFA would not be considered the hand me down park if Astro World was still open. Its shame cause Astro World had a lot of potential
