Could you post a link to it? It's a snow day here, I got some time on my hands -
When I think about parks that kind of fail,in overall design, SFGAm comes to mind, the fact that it is for the most part one giant loop kind of kills the ability to get across the park quickly... I also feel like parks that have some sort of transport system to get you across park quickly always help drastically. Magic Kingdom's train, SFGAdv Sky Ride, they really do a great job and getting people around the park, and allow for great views...

I don't know, but I know that Leviathan had the roar and then quickly was dampened since the roar was significantly louder than they were expecting due to the speed of the trains. Granted CW is much closer to housing areas, and Carowinds already has 1 B&M that is quite loud already, I could see them leaving it... -

Ahh, so it is a permanent coaster. Hurricane was on a grid of supports, Nice to see we have upgraded to a coaster that will hopefully allow for some grass in the area! I am quite excited to see what this looks like while driving down 110! -

Knowing that land at Cedar Point is at a premium for them, I could see them tearing it down and building some sort of high rise tower for the employees. -

Isn't it odd that they didn't do that when the first hill was finished? Just seems odd to me, you had the cranes there to work high up in those areas, now that they're closer to the ground, and can send those cranes away, I would just think it would have made sense earlier... -

I wonder why those two support beams are still on the first drop... I wonder when they will come down, or if they plan on keeping them... -
Hello Everyone, I posted a while back about a trip I am doing this summer, and need some advise on food locations outside the park in a few places. We want to expeince a few local places in the area, so Id like to stay away from chains if at all possible. If you know of a great home grown restaurant near any of these parks, please let me know! Thanks! Downtown Washington DC (We are going to SFA for the first half of the day, then hanging out mid afternoon-evening around the Mall) Kings Dominion (really for Lunch) Carowinds (Lunch and Dinner) [we will DEFINITELY be going to Bo Jangles for at least one meal ) Dollywood (we will be eating in the park, since I have heard such great things about the food from all y'all) Kentucky Kingdom (Dinner) Holiday World (Dinner) Kings Island (Dinner) Cedar Point (We will be eating at the park since getting on and off the peninsula is almost as annoying as lockers ) Kennywood (Lunch) Thanks for all your input!

I'm not too worries, leviathan is one hell of a people eater... In its opening season, I went and once the morning rush was over, it was basicly a walk on for the rest of the day! Im sure the seat belts won't ruin the ride, or the operations... This is cedar fair we are talking about, it'll be fine! -
Definitely go the next weekend after memorial day! I did that last year and it was a great time. If I could suggest one change, I would drive to Kennywood at night in the same day you're at Hersheypark, then you can sleep in a little bit in the morning, because you know you're going to be up late at night anyway. This is the way my cousin and I do it when we do trips, and it works out quite well to wake up, go to breakfast at Perkins, and hit the park with minimal driving in the morning

Three B&M's in a row? That's unheard of... Wait, didn't they get 4 intamins in a row? Anything is possible at Cedar Point! -

So, there are some rumors Cedar Point is going to get a B&M Dive Coaster near the theater that they are taking down. You're up to speed... -
Do parks like us?
Brassinthegrass replied to tarheel1231's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think it matters on the parks, and what we are doing at them. I know when I went with the TPR group to Coney Island, the staff there (especially on the Cyclone and Thunderbolt in the ERT morning) were getting huge kick out of us. Other times, I have been at SFGAdv and they kind of rolled their eyes at how the little things get us excited (doing the visual scan with them while sitting in the trains) -

True, but remember it takes years of design planning and conceptual work before you can actually build the ride itself. It's possible that they are planning, but planning for 2017 or 2018! -

There has been some speculation into using the rest of the land used by Son of Beast. Could also see it coming out from near Flight of Fear... -

Ill throw the speculation into the ring. RMC all steel design (possibly like the lift from Goliath type structure all around. Love this early speculation! -

I must admit, the first drop on leviathan is magical! It seems to last for a minute alone and just roars down the hill!
