  1. JCoaster, I made the trip last June between the two... it is absolutely lovely driving that trip.. very pretty and winding roads through the mountains... lower the windows and blast some good music, your love it!
  2. Quick question for all the Locals: Im heading on a trip this July with 3 friends and we are planning on stopping by the park on July 25, in the evening. I usually go through one of my discount companies, but none of them have anything for the park. Does anyone know of a discount voucher (say at a local chain store) or if there is a late entry discount to the park? We are staying at a hotel near by (Days Inn Lousville) and are coming in from Dollywood and leaving for Holiday world the next day. Thanks!
  3. Unless they keep the trains and move Bizarro to another park... Sounds odd, but this is the same park that won't open a pathway because they want you to walk past money making things...
  4. It makes sense that it would be an over seas coaster... The track has to be shipped across the pond, so making it first makes logicistical sense...
  5. In hind sight, (which is always 20/20) it really isn't that surprising to see... It's been 9 years since they built Voyage, with that ride bringing in SO many guests from farther away than ever, that was MORE than enough time to save up for this new toy... Personally I can not wait to finally visit HW (which I know was exactly what the park wanted to do; get people from father away to visit for the first time!) as well as see what the future holds! I GREATLY look forward to watching the future of this park, the sky is the limit (although I don't think we will see a Strata anytime soon )
  6. I agree on the Mine Train... That little thing always surprises me on the second half... Great ride, and great use of the forest and lake.
  7. She's also amazing and does a great job at putting up with our geekiness.... Which I think she may be just as bad as the rest of us. hopefully I get to meet her this summer when I'm there!
  8. I don't know if it's gotten bad... I never have been to KK (going for the first time this summer #9days90coasters) but I think it's just lack luster... You can't believe that a bunch of coaster enthusiasts who got Kingda Ka, and El Toro n a row are going to be happy about getting an old stand up as their next addition... But I'm always happy to say we have one of the best line ups in the world, and look forward to seeing the next addition (which will also revitalize the west side of the park!
  9. It's not my favorite coaster, nor is it my least favorite... But for a roller coaster, it is thrilling and has some nice forces... That being said, it is definitly not a marathoning coaster, but it serves it's purpose...making the skyline look cool and adding to the collection!
  10. Sounds like a Six Flags Way of fixing train C! Can't say I'm surprised...
  11. Only thing that Viper was good for, was a cool looking train!
  12. We totally can handle it! build it baby, we will come!!!!!
  13. I do find it quite entertaining that it will probably take longer for the cement for the queue to dry, then for the ride to be built! Hopefully it's open very soon, unlike last year's fiasco ...
  14. Omg, it's like a UFO!!! God it just keeps getting better!
  15. Although I don't want to disagree with your thought pattern hear, we don't truley know the whole story about RT closing. SF doesn't out out explanations and off season info like Cedar Fair does... I'd like to think that the park has spent all the money on the east side of the park, I can only hope it is because what ever is coming to the west side is going to truley spruce up the area... And we already see fences on the pathway to the far end of Movie Town... Maybe we will see more as the season goes on...
  16. This sounds very close to the same trip Idea I have in place for the summer. Although we are doing 8 days along the east coast (circumnavigating WV). Tips I've found: AAA beat out every hotel price out there. I know from experience $30 is really not going to be enough for money, unless your planning on eating fast food the entire time (good luck to your colon). See if there is a family member who gets park ticket discounts through work. My sister gets them and it's saved me TONS over the years! Other than that, have a freaking blast!!!!!
  17. It would be awesome if holiday world would allow us to do a glowphest on this thing!
  18. Absolutely! I'm about 2 hours away from SFGad and SFNE. The only time I don't worry about weather is early in the season!
  19. Would you look at that... TPR argued and joked about it happening in a few hours... And then they ACTUALLY put it together in a few hours! This is historical (pun intended)
  20. That looks like it'll be around 70ft.... I think you've been looking at Fury pics a bit too much.
  21. Do I see a lighting package? Did Six Flags actually spend money on the lighting package?!? Anyone else for that draft from hell, because I think it just froze over!
  22. Rough winter, beautiful weather, kids off from school for the week = not surprising other pack today! Glad I don't plan on going anytime soon!
