Just my opinion, but i think it might have actually made it worse based off of the videos i've seen. It seems to me that it really would have whipped you around and slammed your neck into the restraints - which are in no way comfortable. I think it would have led to lots of complaints about neck pain and probably been taken out after a year or two. But then again, i've never actually ridden it, this is just based off of the videos i've seen of it. I see what you mean. I guess my comment was a bit off since they pretty much removed it because people would have been under extreme forces and possibly injured, but if they would have been able to insert in the layout at a more reasonable spot then it would be better off. By no means am i saying its not a good ride or anything, i actually love Mav the way it is, its just that it would have been cool to have a heartline roll in the twisty layout that wouldnt splinter you and the trains. -

I know this is off topic of Gatekeeper but, If that heartline roll wouldnt have been taken off Maverick i think it would be ranked higher than it is. -

I would love to ride an Intamin stand-up. They look like they are not the most pleasant rides but who doesnt like Intamin? -

Im really hoping that they re-paint Storm Runner. Anyone have any rumors or comments about this. If they were to paint it i would expect them to do it in early March or end of Feburary when the weather starts to warm up a bit. -

I don't mean to get all technical but a that's considered a Dive loop (opposite of an Immelman). According to CP's press release they call it a Inclined Dive Loop – a tight, 180-degree turnaround pushes riders through an overbanked turn and rockets them back towards the station. Inclined Dive Loop, so would it technically be considered an inversion? If they count it as one on Hydra, then im certain this one will be called an inversion. Right after that turn around when it goes into the second "through the keyhole" inversion i watch the pov and it seems as if its a sort of straight away for a bit until the roll. I wonder if it will seem as long while onride as it does watching the animation. But then again animations dont always really show the rides true finish, either way this will be a nice ride. -

Also i think when the day comes that Sidewinder is taken out i could see them using that area for more slides and stuff. Now that they are planning to start building on the old golf course land, they will likley focus on that half of the park really only being LR and WC and boardwalk ONLY! -

So long Roller Soaker! -
@Rob Well i guess that my comment the other day that CFR didnt need to be in the game sparked Pantera. They just said they are working on CFR for the game via Facebook! Haha. While i probobly wont use CFR unless its real easy to insert/create them, im sure some crazy people that will play it a ton will really appreciate this. Seems like they really are doing this right by creating the game off of the people's input. Hence the reason for this thread.

They aren't putting any new footers in! Gotta love rumors. As far as i know they are fixing the trains and station along with the cable. The cable has streched out over the course of the year which is actually normal. All they do is sort of re-tighten it around the motor. Im wondering if they have decided to re-paint Storm Runer at all? Or are they supporting breast cancer now by letting it be pink?! -
I cannot wait to see how this turns out! To me some of the biggest things are being able to actually make an entire park with food stands, entertainment shows, flat rides, rollercoasters and the biggest thing i can see on here is the ability to have PEOPLE in your park! Thats why RCT3 was so awsome! Now Nolimits was better for building rollercoasters because of its realism. I have a question of what types of rides(rollercoasters) will be in it? We can see from the video your having Arrow Style, but will there be a bigger variety? Also, in the video, is there banking that you can do on turns or is how it is in the video, how it is?

The "Pleasant/Unpleasant Surprise" Thread
TyRush replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Pleasant -Steel Force---I thought this would be a bumpy, crap ride but i was shocked to see it was not bad at all. Still only floater airtime. -Maverick---This thing is wicked, period. -Magnum XL---Nice airtime on bunny hills! -Great Bear---It may look dull, but let me tell you after getting about 30 spins on this black track mess it is actually intense! That helix at the top has some good g's. -Wildcat @HP---After hearing about its rough tenture, i rode it 6 times this summer and it wanst bad at all. -I-305---Its the craziest ride ever! If you dont grey/black out on the first turn then your god..however it was so fun! Imagine it with lap bars! -Rebel Yell---Very fun ride with unexpected speed. Unpleasant -Grizzly@KD---Worst woodie ive been on. It bruised my legs sooo bad from hitting the side of the train. It is cool at night but still mauls you. -Mean Streak---SUCKS!! Rocky Mtn. Please redo this heap of crap. -Sidewinder@HP---This made my head a splat on the harness. -Shockwave@KD---Like the standing dead in the break run after you hault to a stop. -Hydra---I experienced no forces or anything on this. It is an awsome layout but increase the height and speed, then i will be happy. -Millennium Force---I put this down here for a reason. It should not be #1 at all! No airtime and little +G forces. I agree^I-305 and Skyrush I would take over Millie any day. -
The Free Flyer looks sick! Nothing from Intamin at all? It seems they have very little this year in the industry. I guess they are trying new concepts for next year. I figured they would announce a bew type of coaster or show their changes they are making to Skyrush trains/station. P.s. The B&M Wing Train looks so cool. Imagine just having that in your bedroom.
