  1. I could really see this becoming in the top 2 in popularity at CP if its a good experience. Since B&M coasters are 99% reliable most of the time, it will be open much more than TTD/MF.
  2. I agree with you on that, Intamin should be building more pre-fabs but its what the parks want, so i dont know why parks dont want them?! They are sweet
  3. Awsome! Great to see how the poll should be! Now i cant wait to do the Steel poll. It will be interesting what that will look like
  4. My only visit in 08' I was so excited to ride "The World's Best RollerCoaster" and left not too happy. Back then i wasnt as big with rollercoasters but now that ive been on pretty much every "big coaster" in the East i really have MF in about the 5-10 range on my scale with I-305 at #1. It just blows me away they think MF is better than I-305. Anyway, i was surprised at the lack of forces on MF. Just imagine if they made the "airtime" hills about 15 feet shorter. Thankfully Intamin now is about the only manufature that makes awsome insane death trap coasters with their newer rides. I agree above^ that i think CP told Intamin to bild something bigger and faster than Magnum and nothing more. Either way i will be on MF again this year as i finally get back to the park!
  5. ^I agree with you 100%! Rockey Mtn. loves to top what is already done so im sure it will be some sort of high-five inversion or simply a near miss type elemet. Im really hoping this happens. I mean come on....a dueling RMC inverting woodie?!?! It may not happen because it is SFMM we are talking about, but that would be totally insane!
  6. Its a shame i hear all this about the park. Over the past couple years i have wanted to fly out west and maybe visit SFMM but now all the talk here seems as if they dont keep it nice. Now i know im not too interested in things in a park other than thrill rides, however, i wouldn't want to spend all the money and visit the park hearing all this.
  7. Looking at the webcam angle #2 the corkscrew looks to be just over half the hight of the airtime hill. Hopefully it has some good "whip" in it like most B&M corks. But then again its a new B&M.
  8. Did you guys hear that a new segment of YOLO appeared today?! It was 1 bolt
  9. ^I think KD will get a new coaster within the next 3 years. I do agree that it probobly wont be 2014 but rather 2015. Its such a nice park which attracts lots of people going south on vacation.
  10. Keep in mind about the GTA's that they get horny about Cedar Point. I think Outlaw Run&Iron Rattler maybe better than Gatekeeper however it will probably still win because its at the Point.
  11. Well compared to Gatekeeper, construction on YOLO is moving much faster!
  12. I honestly am starting to get more excited about this coaster everytime a piece goes up. I have only been to CP twice, however, im very excited to go and ride this at my visit to CP this summer! Should be a great addition!
  13. Doesn't this prove that it was more than the park was hoping for in terms of forcefulness? Im saying "I" was surprised by how extreme the ejector airtime is, the park and Intamin(engineers) knew it would be like that since they designed it and tested it. Or by what you said you mean on the lapbar issue with how forcefull people claim it to be. To behonest i never had and pain for the lapbar or discomfort.
  14. Hersheypark knew exactly what they were getting when building Skyrush. They might have known what they were getting in terms of the ride, but not what the public reaction would be. You can't measure customer reaction with any CAD program. True but i still think its everything they were hoping for. In one interview with Kent Bachmann I remember he said Skyrush was aimed towards a "high intensity ride"(More like an awsome death trap) He felt they had a good reputation of family type rides and it was time to pleasure the crazy people(US). Skyrush was more than what i expected in terms of forces but its a kick a$$ ride! Most of the general public dont like rougher more intense rides hence why no one goes on Wildcat anymore and people complain about Skyrush lapbars. But all in all I think once the ride is adjusted(Station &Lapbars) it will become more appealing to the public.
  15. Your not getting my main point. My main argument is that they will add something that CP doesnt have! Thats it! Why add a giga, multi-launcher, large launcher, or WingRider&B&M Invert if they are just north. They will want to add something that CP doesnt have thats big and will be popular. Im aware that they are owned by the same company but there can still be a rival between them, they are both in Ohio and are bigger named parks that are sort of close to each other.
  16. I do realize that. I describe that in my post. What im saying is that they will likley add a game changer, something to beat out CP. Just think of all the extra people that would attract there. I would kill to ride X2 but i live on the east coast and probobly will never get out there to ride it. But if one is added to KI i could drive there and ride that and still enjoy an already pretty good park.
  17. I could really see a 4D coaster going in at SOB site. I mean their last big addition was in 09'. KI is one of the most popular parks and they probobly reel in tons of $$$. 4 years of nothing added is a lot of total money, Now 4D's do cost about 50 Million though. But if you think about it they wont add a Wing Coaster because CP is adding one themselves. Remember the parks are rivals so KI would want to add something crazy and unique, something CP doesnt have as they did in the past.
