Ah you got me , Don't really have a source but I rather used Inferencing based on All American Thrills December Update(Last one based on Skyrush's trains) which show only the frame remaining with the lap bars wrapped up in plastic. Also based on all the complaints made by the GP about them hating it and its painfulness. Since that last update i have not seen a new one on Skyrush which is why I have asked you guys if you have heard any NEW news on the updates.

Couldn't agree more as its my favorite as well. I too am lucky to have access to the park(season pass) regularly. I also hope they dont tame Skyrush one bit. I know they are definitely changing restraints, but i hope they dont slow the lift hill or add extra trims. I have never had discomfort on it like most claim, but i could see why some GP dont like it if they have some pain on it. As far as it being open for Spring time the park has said they plan it to be open. I hope thats true because im going March 29th!! Cant wait

Yea i think they will probably have a grand plaza for Gatekeeper. Im sure they will make it look great!

Any news at all about Skyrush's renovation? Are they even changing the station at all? I've gone by it a couple times and couldn't make anything of it. They were doing work on the Bear which i assume to be some bolt work. Im also interested in Skyrush's finish in Mitch's poll. It should peak in the top 10 or so. I know a couple of people love it, and a couple hate or some just average. It will be higher than the GTA ranking at least.

It would have to be iRat. I don't care that OLR has 3 inversions and iRat only has one. This ride is going to be sick!! Agree!

You're serious? This ride is totally not better than Gatekeeper! Gatekeeper is at Cedar Point dammit! Okay now i will NOT be a Golden Ticket Award member.. I totally agree with you that if this rides well (Thats what she said) it should be Best New Ride of 2013. To me Gatekeeper and Outlaw Run should be in there as well. I think Outlaw Run will be good, but not as good as this. All in all the top 3 new rides of next year, (IR,OL,GK) will all be very good rides, it just depends on how well they ride. This one just seems to have everything! And come on, you really think the GTA's will not choose Gatekeeper as #1 New Ride? I think i said this a before on this thread that the GTA's get VERY horny over Cedar Point.

I think it will be better than MF because i feel its not the best coaster, if it is even a top 10. I think depending on how this rides it should very well be up there in the top 10. Just looking at this screams this ride hauls a$$!

I see what you mean. Its just the fact that, the purpose of Skyrush is so you feel like your getting thrown out. Its all good though, I-305 is very very good itself. If only those final airtime hills didnt have that trim! Then it would be epic!

For Skyrush It will definitly crack the Top 10, im just interested to see where in the top 10. As far as people liking it, I know lots of people love an Awesome Intamin Death Trap, and im sure theres a good amount that love to be on a cloud with B&M. We can sit here all day and predict, but we just have to wait for the final results! ^if Skyrush had I-305 restraints, then the lateral g's on the Stengel Dive and far turnaround would probably wack your neck against the sides. So i think a lapbar is far better than OTSR.

Why didn't you like it? Length? Lapbars? I can see how some GP may not have liked it, however, its more of an extreme ride for extreme coaster enthusiasts. Not saying your not or anything, but i can see why some people don't like it.

I get so excited when i see a YOLO update, and then i always see the update to be a pile of dirt moved. But hey, i give credit to the construction workers on YOLO because they have to work in such harsh cold, snowy weather.

So the ride is based off some crazy asylum type gimmick? Seems unique and interesting to me. In my book Alton Towers deserves a "A"for this marketing campaign and hints toward the ride.
